@Ibokz, I want to use this opportunity to thank this great man. You are so kind and human hearted.
I followed the process as u have stated here and it works for me.
I have renew my passport and it ends in praise.
Thank u so much for your support throughout this journey of passport renewal. I so much appreciate.
Pls, anyone that want to renew his/her passport in Abuja should follow this procedure @ibokz gave to me here. If I can do it, then you too will do it.
Also thank u all that support me with your advice one or the other.

@Miracle, I am pleased to have helped. Always remember that when we fail to help, we defeat the essence of humanity.

When you want to go and collect, kindly know that the collection centre is just very close to the capturing house. Remember to go with the paper that was given to you after the capturing.

I wish you the very best.
Regards

I'm doing this for the first time. I'm comfortable paying at the bank. Please address the issues i raised in my first response

You will need guarantor who will fill your guarantor's form, you will need nim details preferably the card or form, you will need 2 passports I think,

D first time I did international passport was in 2005 I think, so it might be hard for me to remember the details. Although I renewed in 2015 and this year too.

As for paying at the bank, I am not conversant with the process cos I have never paid at the bank.

But frankly paying with your card is more seamless than going through the bank stress. I am suspecting you are scared that sth will happen to your money. Pls it is save and secure. I suggest u use it

Hello bro. I need guidance, I've completed the online registration and have downloaded my file. I have both the Passport Application Id and Reference number. I want to go and make payment at the bank tomorrow I picked abeokuta passport office because someone said he would fix me with an official who would speed up the process. Please is making payments at the bank ok and after payment at the bank what else? What do i need to take to the passport office? Please i would welcome suggestions from other members who are reading this.

I assume that you are in Abeokuta, why do you have to go through the stress of going to the bank?

Why not choose an online platform and make your payment. I chose the first payment platform that pops up during the registration.

Finally, I don't know if you are doing a fresh application or renewal.

I have already replied someone called miracle here on the process for renewal and how to go about it in Abj
I am not sure of what obtains in Abeokuta pls.

Maybe someone who has done his there should help.

The general procedure for renewal is

Acknowledgement slip from your online payment
Application letter directed to comptroller general immigration
Your old passport

Lol, Oshogbo has never been DUI friendly, this your connect even gave you cheaper at 30k, the last time I enquired it was 35k. Lagos is still the best option

Once again I'd like to advise all of us especially those that aren't too busy to trying going through the process themselves and avoid all those bribes. If we keep doing it ourselves, they will stop looking for bribes.

I did mine in Abj with minor skirmishes in terms of frustration from the officers and it came through on 2nd. It took a total of about 10 days cos I did capturing on 23rd of November.

In must rural areas you don't even need up to#2000 to start a business that can sustain a family all they need is just little amount.
MSMEs is doing a wonderful job.
Thank you

Pls which rural part are you from?
Because where I am from, which is Abakaliki, 30k can't construct a table and buy you sachet tomatoes.

Let us stop being delusional and hypocritical in our assessment of issues.

Government should do more in creating employment opportunities as well as enabling environment for investors.
Security is one area that I am sure will pave way for more people to get employed

Pls, I want u to guide me. Am in Abuja and I want to renew my passport. Pls can u tell me the process u took? Thank u

Firstly, go online and do your registration. Make sure you select Abuja headquarters as the issuing centre.

Secondly, print it out after your online payment

Write an application for renewal of your passport. Address it to the comptroller general of immigration

Go to the Joseph... Glass House

Ask for where you can submit your acknowledgement receipt

Submit and payment will be verified
Ask for where you can stamp your application letter. It is actually upstairs in the same glass house

Stamp and come downstairs and go straight to the capturing house. It is just before the glass house by your right hand side from the gate.

Go in together with your old passport.

They will give you a number. When u enter, kindly ask anyone where you will submit the application letter, acknowledgement slip etc.

They will try to frustrate u from the gate but persist in doing it along but do so politely.

From the gate, they will be asking them if you have anyone who is doing it for you. You can answer yes, so that they won't be wasting your time.

If they ask you for name, kindly say officer Ngozi for instance.

The most difficult place is the capturing side but be patient. You will pull through.

I advice you dress cooperately to attract maximum respect.

Sorry if there are typo errors.

Good luck

Please guys, I need your help an answers. I paid online last week Friday and I chose Ilorin Immigration office as my interview centre, the amount it displayed was 17,800 which I did.
I already downloaded the application form, the payment receipt and guarantor's form but I have some questions
1) Where will I download the acknowledgement form that I have been seeing on this thread
2) How will I know my interview date
3) Which other documents will I carry along to the immigration office with the printed forms
4) Any other advice you will like to give me
Note: It is a fresh application

After payment you are supposed to see acknowledgement slip which u can print.

After filing the form too, there's a form at the end before you proceed to payment. I think the form also contains your id and reference no.

You can also just enter the reference number and then go ahead and look for acknowledgement slip and print and any other one that you haven't printed

Can someone answer this please

Pls is the person going for renewal or fresh application.

If it is renewal, you don't need a guarantor but if it is not then you do.

If not renewal, you can ask someone to help you fill the details of the person but how do you get his passport which you are supposed to attach to the form.

My advice, if you can't get anyone to do it for you there, pay someone at the immigration office and they get a guarantor for you. But I totally believe you can easily find someone that can serve as a guarantor for you. It is not a big deal

Please what does it take for someone to renew their passport? My passport expired this June, 2020 and i want to renew at Ikoyi. Please how did you renew yours? i will appreciate your response, thank you

For Abuja which I assume should be the same as other locations.

You need an application letter. ie apply for the renew of your passport.

Your old passport which you will need to photocopy

Acknowledgement slip ie evidence of online payment

Voila c'est finis.

That's all

you need to apply online(google nis immigration) and pay 26,000, you will also fill some forms online, make sure you print your acknowledgement form and payment receipt then proceed to the immigration office you chose for capture

I think the 26k is for Abuja only. Other states are around 19k approximately. I applied last week and went to Abj for capturing on Monday. They said I should come on 2nd December to pick my passport.

They actually have lots of hyenas and jackals that will be on the way to frustrate and take your money but if you insist politely on no payment, they will let you through.
That was my experience in Abuja, I can't say for other locations

Pls I have been using Gotv but the network just went off recently in my place and I would like to buy a strong decoder and switch to free to air and if possible enjoy some of the benefits that you guys are enjoying. However, I don't know what is the best strong decoder to buy for this. I also do not have much experience on the installation process. Pls can someone help me with suggestions on the decoder type and if possible how to install. I stay in Abakaliki and I wish to install the dish in our house in the village. I am a football and series lover. Pls I don't mind parting a token for a hands-on assistance.
Thank you

The popular official thread to Satellite TV Part 1 - 5 continues here as a General thread.  I am sure most of all areas of FTA are already existing as thread on this child board.  Do make efforts to use the search button to find out whether what you want to post or enquire about is already in the child board.

You are welcome
