The Education Partnership (TEP) Centre is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2018 edition of its annual education conference; the Nigerian Education Innovation Summit (NEDIS).

About NEDIS


NEDIS serves as a platform to strengthen the design, implementation and scaling up of education innovations in Nigeria. The summit, now in its 4th year, has become a key event in the nation’s education event calendar, convening stakeholders from government, research and academia, the development and other funding organisations, corporations, civil society organisations and a broad range of education innovators for two days of rich discourse, knowledge sharing, learning, capacity development and networking.

Since its debut in 2015, NEDIS has explored new, exciting and sustainable approaches for increasing access to quality education, especially for the marginalized and underserved. Discussions at the summit undersore the importance of identifying and systematically scaling innovations such that they become more deeply embedded in policy systems and reach more beneficiaries nationwide.

What to Expect at NEDIS IV

This year's summit which is focused on Accountability and Transparency in the Education Sector, will convene over 250 stakeholders to discuss issues, challenges and innovative practices pertaining to accountability and transparency in Nigeria's education sector.

This year's discussions will be opened by the office of the UNESCO Global Education Monitoring Report (the 2018 GEM Report on Accountability in Education can be accessed here) with several leading voices in the education innovation ecosystem speaking at the sessions. NEDIS IV will feature

Engaging plenary and breakout discussion sessions
Workshops including Masterclasses on Data Visualisation (led by BudgIT),and Advocacy and Strategic Communications (led by Connected Development)
An exhibition of innovative education products and services
A consultation session for the 2020 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report
An Innovation Showcase Cocktail Reception

The registration fee for the 2-day conference is ₦35,000. We are offering an early bird rate of ₦30,000 until October 1st 2018. Registration covers access to all Plenary and Breakout Sessions, Masterclasses, the GEM Report Consultation Session and the Innovation Showcase Cocktail Reception. It also covers tea breaks and lunches for the 2 days, and access to the innovation cocktail reception. You will also receive conference materials.

Complete the online registration form
Pay the registration fee. For corporate or multiple registrations, send names of delegates to nedis@tepcentre.comafter paying
A confirmation of payment will be emailed to you. Keep this for your records.
Student Bursaries: Limited bursaries are available for students and for NGOs based outside Lagos state. Bursaries cover only the registration fee. To apply, send an application request of no more than 200 words to nedis@tepcentre.com with the subject line, “NEDIS 2018: Bursary Application”. Your application should explain why you should be considered for this bursary. Priority will be given to students and recent graduates of Education, Economics and International Development.

Volunteering Opportunities: There are a few slots available for volunteer ushers who will have their registration fee waived. If you are interested in volunteering for NEDIS, send an email to nedis@tepcentre.com with the subject line, “NEDIS 2018: Volunteering”.

Accommodation

Delegates to NEDIS will be offered discounted room rates at Amber Residence Hotel, Ikeja GRA. Interested delegates should send a copy of their registration confirmation to the hotel to access this rate.
