The gale of defection hitting the All Progressives Congress APC), across the country, has finally hit the home State (Edo) of the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, with over 589,000 members of the party announcing the withdrawal of their membership from the party. The defectors who are members of the Kwankwansiyya movement within the Reformed APC in Edo State, are led by its state Chairman, Chief John Osamede Adun and the State Coordinator, Hon Harrison Omagbon. The development is coming in the heels of speculations that the party’s National Chairman of the APC and fromer Edo governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, is being expected in the State to reconcile warring factions in the party. Addressing newsmen in Benin City, Mr. Omagbon, said their decision to dump the APC was after, “critical evaluation, discussions, due consultations and after reviewing the unfolding political events in the country. “We wish to inform the state leadership of the APC that…the 589, 137 members of the Kwankwansiyya movement from the 192 wards in Edo State hereby resign from the APC with immediate effect today 9th August 2018.” Omagbon however said that leaders of the movement which national leader is former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwanso, would soon decide on their next line of action. There are indications, however, that they may be defecting to the PDP anytime soon. Also present at the press briefing were a former APC National Assembly member for Ovia Federal Constituency, Engr. Isaac Osahon, a former APC Chairman for Orhionwon local government area of the State, Mr. Mathew Ehigie, a former Council Chairman for Ovia North-East local government area, Mrs. Lucy Omagbon Source .http://thenewsnigeria.com.ng/2018/08/wind-of-defection-hits-edo-apc-as-589000-dump-party/

The summer transfer window of political parties in Nigeria is still on as Nasarawa State record mass defection. Over 5,000 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) belonging to the Kwankwasiyya group in the state defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The event took place at the state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lafia, where the defectors bade farewell to their former party, APC. Speaking to newsmen shortly after the event, a representative of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and leader of the Kwankwasiyya group, Aminu Dabo, said they were at the PDP secretariat to formally merge with party. He said: “The Kwankwasiyya group came to formally present themselves to the chairman of the state PDP, which will open the way for all our members to start registering with the party. “We have decamped from APC to PDP long ago. So this is the coming together formally of our members so that everyone will go to his ward and register with the PDP. “Each one that came here is the representative of the Kwankwasiyya group. Over 5,000 members came to formally present themselves to the PDP.” In another development, PDP in Nasarawa State yesterday alleged that Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura led APC government in the state received over N390 billion federal allocations in the last seven and a half years with no commiserate development projects to show for it. State Chairman of the party, Hon. Francis Orogu, made the allegation in Lafia while receiving Senator Solomon Ewuga, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the party, who was at the party secretariat to formally inform the party of his gubernatorial ambition in the 2019 general election. Orogu claimed that the alleged amount received from the federation account since 2011 to date was exclusive of other intervention funds from the Federal Government and regretted that the state had so far been indebted to the tune of over N70 billion within the period under review despite the sale of public assets by the state government.http://dailyadvent.com/index.php/2018/08/09/defection-5000-apc-members-defect-to-pdp-in-nasarawa-state/

Senator Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba has predicted more woes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) boasting that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is currently in strong position to win 10 northern states in the 2019 general elections. The senator, who expressed confident that the PDP would recapture power at the centre, said the party would win conveniently in Benue, Kaduna, Kano, Plateau, Kogi, Kwara, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Sokoto states in 2019. The Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, who a week today defected to the PDP along with 14 others from the ruling APC, said the APC is embattled and would likely remain in that state during next year’s general elections. He accused the APC government of fighting perceived enemies in the name of fighting corruption, citing the travails of the Senate President Bukola Saraki, his deputy Ike Ekweremadu and others members of the opposition. Speaking in Sokoto over the weekend, the senator said he left the party because of lack of equity, justice and fairness to all members stressing that he did not regret dumping the APC on whose platform he became Senator because they were not being carried along. “The APC-led federal government has derailed from its mandate and failed to meet the yearnings of Nigerians,” he added. Further, the vice chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, regretted that the APC failed to address the three core issues facing the country namely: security, economy and corruption, for which it was voted into power in 2015. “I am the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and I know how much that has been expended on security in the country. We are facing security challenges in Zamfara, Kaduna, Sokoto and many states and people are being killed,” he said.https://www.blueprint.ng/danbaba-names-10-northern-states-pdp-may-win-2019/

The Ekiti Governor-elect, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has hailed the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the July 14 governorship election, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, for going to the tribunal in the resolution of the dispute arising from the Ekiti election. The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the election. But on Friday, the PDP’s candidate filed his petition at the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, seeking to upturn the victory. Olusola claimed he scored the majority lawful votes cast in the election, as according to him, the poll was marred by results falsification, ballot stuffing and ballot snatching. A statement by the Director of Media and Publicity of Kayode Fayemi Campaign Organisation, Wole Olujobi, said filing the action was the right of the petitioner as it would strengthen democracy. “Even though it is the petitioner’s right to seek legal redress in his complaint, it is a fact that the July 14 governorship election that returned Dr Kayode Fayemi is one of the best elections conducted by INEC in this country in which the will of the people was freely expressed. “For this reason, Fayemi won one of the best, freest and fairest elections in Nigeria as attested to by the elite election monitoring group, Transition Monitoring Group, which rattled Governor Ayodele Fayose, who thereafter assembled fake observers’ group populated by PDP members who tried to discredit the exercise. “We won the election in a very free and fair manner and we have no doubt that the tribunal will find this to be the case too in their final judgement. “Judgement on the petition will be in accordance with the law and not to the terms of the petitioner, and so Eleka cannot be a judge in this case as he sought to do in his petition. “Now that he has filed his petition, he should leave the tribunal to decide if he won or not and not to prejudge, as the petitioner tried to do in his complaint to the tribunal.” The statement, however, faulted claim by the petitioner that APC members and Ekiti people, in general, did not celebrate Fayemi’s victory. “Immediately results started trickling in, almost all towns and communities erupted in jubilation. “In Ikere-Ekiti country home of the PDP candidate, there was blaring of horns and trumpets while all relaxation points were jam-packed by a deluge of revellers celebrating their freedom from a callous and greedy administration of PDP that reversed all the fortunes recorded by Fayemi’s administration between 2010 and 2014.” Fayemi also faulted Olusola for complaining that the closure of Ekiti radio was part of measures to rig the election. “It is baffling that Eleka, who conspired with Fayose to commit treason by illegally seizing a radio station to criminally announce a fake result, still had the temerity to complain that the closure of the station is part of measures to rig the election,” the statement added.https://www.today.ng/news/politics/ekiti-poll-kolapo-olusolas-petitionll-strengthen-democracy-kayode-fayemi-138836/amp

Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, on Tuesday expressed confidence that his deputy, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, would be declared winner of the July 14 governorship election by the state Election Petitions Tribunal. Fayose alleged that the governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, is holding on to “stolen mandate” which would be retrieved at the tribunal. The governor claimed that the election was marred by irregularities. Olusola, who was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the poll, has declared his intention to challenge the result of the election announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the tribunal. The PDP candidate has up till August 3 to submit his petition as the 21-day window to challenge the result is expected to close on that day. Fayose spoke in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday during an unscheduled visit to the new Erekesan Market (Oja Oba) which is nearing completion. The governor, who was cheered by market women during the visit, urged the people of the state to remain calm and be law abiding. Fayose pleaded with PDP members and sympathizers to keep their cool in the face of alleged intimidation and provocation by the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking on the market, Fayose said he was pleased with the pace of work on the project and quality of work done by the contractors. Fayose said: “This is the only legacy project we have not completed as we have delivered others such as the flyover, the new high court complex, the new Governor’s Office and the dualization of Ado-Ikere Road among others. “Though time is no longer on our side, we will surely push this project and as at now only finishing touches remain to be done. “I will complete it and commission it before I leave. We appreciate the people for their support and cooperation and we want them not to despair. The light is coming after darkness and we shall overcome.”http://thenationonlineng.net/well-retrieve-olusolas-mandate-fayose/amp/

Ilorin – The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has rejected and dismissed the purported dissolution of party at the ward, local government and state levels in Kwara State by the Adams Oshiomole – led National Working Committee (NWC) . It described the dissolution as not only outright unlawful but also null and void, and prepared to reclaim the mandate in court. LAI MOHAMMED IN KWARA—Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, addressing APC supporters and members in Oro, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, during his visit for a consultative meeting with stakeholders, yesterday. Photo: NAN. This is contained in a press statement issued by the publicity secretary of the party,Alhaji Sulyman Buhari ,made available to journalists yesterday morning in Ilorin. According to the statement,”The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has rejected and dismissed the purported dissolution of party at the ward, local government and state levels in Kwara State by the Adams Oshiomole – led National Working Committee (NWC) .” ‘The statement noted,”We confirm that there is no case of lacuna in the party leadership in Kwara State and there was no ground for the purported dissolution. Thus, the NWC erred in law. Furthermore, the purported dissolution is null and void.” “We recall that for many weeks, party members worked assiduously and painstakingly to elect party leadership at the ward, local government and state levels in Kwara State. “The party structure was certified as duly elected by the National Working Committee of APC. “The duly elected party structure in Kwara State cannot be overthrown or dissolved by an unlawful declaration from Abuja. “Considering the inglorious role played by Comrade Adams Oshiomole, he has lost the respect of the leadership and members of APC in the 16 local government areas and 193 wards of Kwara State. ‘He has destroyed his human rights credentials. It is crystal clear the emerging dictator is always willing to trample on the rights of other party members whenever his personal interest is involved. “While the party will exercise legal means to protect the constitutional mandates of the party leadership at the ward, local government and state levels, we wish to reaffirm that the Alhaji Ishola Balogun Fulani – led State Executive Committee (SEC) remains the only authentic and lawful leadership of APC in Kwara State. “Despite the distraction from Abuja, the Alhaji Ishola Balogun Fulani – led State Executive Committee (SEC), the party leadership in the 16 local government and 193 wards of Kwara State shall continue to discharge constitutional functions. “All members of the APC in Kwara State should remain calm as we devise legal measures to guarantee the protection of their rights.”it concluded. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/07/you-cannot-overthrow-party-leadership-with-unlawful-declaration-kwara-apc-tells-oshiomole/amp/

Leaders of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) may have failed in their bid to forestall an alliance of once estranged Kano State political heavyweights, former Governors, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Ibrahim Shekarau. In a bid to stop the alliance, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje was alleged to have promised Mallam Shekarau the APC Senatorial ticket and the deputy Governors seat to help fight Kwankwaso. However, Kwankwaso and Shekarau may have joined forces to fight what they see as a common enemy in Ganduje and also cut the APC to size in the 2019 elections. Forces in the ruling party where not expecting both men to agree to work together in the PDP, where Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau is in firm control of the party in the Kano State. Sources told The AUTHORITY that a recent meeting by Kwankwaso and Shekarau, for the first time formally in almost 15 years, has rattled members of the ruling party, putting Kano votes at stake. “The APC will pretend as if nothing is happening, they know that the combination of Shekarau and Kwankwaso will cause problem for Ganduje and Buhari in the Kano State. If Buhari does not win Kano, how is he going to win the presidency? “Forget the empty noise by Oshiomhole, this is the biggest shock and fear APC has. They tried to lure Shekarau back to APC. But that seems to have failed. Every person must put behind selfish interest and salvage Nigeria from the hands of this confused people,” the source said. The source further revealed that leaders of the PDP are working hard to ensure that the new found love between Kwankwaso and Shekarau is done fairly to its total success, stressing that PDP leaders will ensure they both support and work for each other and their candidates in all the elections. “Both men have their eyes fixed on contesting for the presidency, but are expected to sacrifice their personal interest to make the alliance work. “For now, their common enemy is Ganduje. Ganduje is rattled over the new development. He thought Shekarau will listen to forces in Abuja and not work with Kwankwaso.”http://authorityngr.com/2018/07/30/kwankwaso-shekarau-reunion-shocks-apc/

Ekiti State Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jackson Adebayo, in this interview with SULAIMAN SALAWUDEEN argued that the July 14 election was a charade, insisting that the party would head for the tribunal to settle the scores What is your assessment of the performance of the security personnel? The security that came for the Saturday election were certainly clearly biased in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC). We can only call them the security arm of the APC. With their conduct, actions and inactions, they are the security arm of the APC. And that is why they did the bidding of the party to the letter, to the extent of criminality. They pretended as if they were not seeing anything. Did you truly notice vote-buying? Vote buying is against the Electoral Act, against the constitution of Nigeria. It is a corruptible practice, condemnable in all moral and legal senses, perpetrated even with the aid of these so-called security agencies. In some places, the security were the ones that were giving tally to people that would collect money from members of the APC. In my own polling unit, where I reported these people distributing money, one of the police personnel on hand, a woman, told me pointedly that there is nothing that concerns her about that, and that I should go and mind my own business. But there were allegations that PDP also induced voters. It is very easy to make allegations, but to prove them is always very difficult. I am using my own as an example. I am a victim of these security men aiding and abetting corruption, criminality. In fact at a certain stage, could you believe that an APC man harassed my children? He said they were not my children, saying they would not be allowed to vote. Yet the security men were looking the other way. This was at Moba Local Government, Ward 2, Unit 03. So, you can imagine. Are you contending that the FG used its might to favour APC? Not only its might but its totality of might to destroy democracy in Ekiti State. Apart from the siege laid on Ekiti on the eve of the election, it was a hell for PDP members. While thugs that were believed to be sponsored by APC were roaming around with police escorts, could you believe that the governor’s security was withdrawn, when thugs were very free to move about? Unless the FG would tell us that those security that were brought to the state were fake. That is the only reason we can believe that. According to the Police DIG, security personnel of VIPs would be withdrawn, all APC leaders were going about with police escorts, not only one, at least four or five. Cyril Fasuyi was going about with about four in Ido Ekiti, or five. An ordinary citizen in Ikosun Ekiti, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, was going about with a Hilux van loaded with escorts, while just an ordinary citizen in Ikosun Ekiti, Moba Local Government, was going about with four, five security men on the election day. An ordinary man, I could not remember the name of the boy. How many of your members were arrested? We could not even say specific figure. You hear five people were arrested here, 10 there. Before you finish a story of this arrest, another has come. We thought some of our members travelled after the election, we got to know they were just arrested that same day, by this same security men who later dumped them in the cell. So, to give actual figure is difficult. May be by tomorrow we will be hearing another story of arrest. So what will be your assessment of security that day? Security was devilish, satanic, undemocratic, unprofessional and ruinous. We cannot say security really performed anything except they came to destroy and conquer the goodwill of Ekiti people. How then do you assess INEC’s verdict that Fayemi won the election. What is your view of that verdict? The verdict of INEC is that result of July 14 is not acceptable to us as a party. It cannot be acceptable to any democracy-loving people across the world. This is an election that was robbed, stolen. After the exercise, they went ahead to alter and falsify results. Do you have any evidence? Yes, we have evidences. Like in Iyin Ward A and B, they went to the house of General Adeyinka Adebayo and they forced all the presiding officers, the party agents, they took them to a place at gun point to be signing already prepared form EC8 where they allotted 500 to PDP, 4000 to APC. The same thing happened in Igbemo where they went to the house of one chief where they concocted numbers and forced people to sign, after driving away some PDP leaders and their agents. It happened in several places like that. We have evidences. That is why we are going to the tribunal. We will present our case at the tribunal. Don’t you see the result of the election as an assessment of the governor, a referendum upon his performance? Don’t even talk about the governor. We are talking about a democracy that has been destroyed, battered in Ekiti. Whether the governor has performed or not, Ekiti people had made up their mind to vote for Prof. Eleka. They have made up their mind and that was whyit became so difficult for them to rig in the first instance. Which was why they resorted to alteration of figures. If it were easy, they would have done that ready and quiet. Was anybody’s house vandalised , were there shootings? Yes, there were. One Chief Adeboro’s house in Ikole Local Government was vandalized by security agents. And there are no pictures? There are pictures. The same thing happens to Muni Eleja’s house in Ikole. The same Ikole. The house was vandalised, louvres destroyed. In Ijurin Ekiti, the house of Chief Mike Omoleye was destroyed, was shattered. Vehicle belongingnto one of our members was shattered. In Egbe Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government, the same thing. Everywhere. So, we have evidences. Why are the evidences just coming out. But even as we talk, none of the evidences are in the media? It is the fault of the media. I am a journalist myself. It is the fault of the media. The media have not made efforts to find out. If you did not come to me now, how will you know? If you ask for it I will provide it for you. But APC is saying that security personnel performed more professionally than they did in 2014. If armed robbers are working for you, how do you rate them when they bring their loot to you? Definitely, you rate them as having done well. So also were the security as it has secured what they wanted for them. They secured the votes for them. They secured the criminality for them, they secured the anomalies for them. They secured the electoral malpractice for them. They secured everything that is bad in democracy for them. How do you expect them to rate the security agencies? They would rate them well. What is your verdict on INEC? INEC did not perform well. Let us start from the normal process. The card reader which they told us was a robust card reader, was an efficient card reader, was an enhanced card reader. It failed woefully. In at least 80 percent of the polling units in the state. Before they started voting in some places, it took them more than three hours, because of the malfunctioning of this particular card reader. This was the card reader you said was this, was that. We could not see any improvement in that. That is one, two even those people working with INEC were compromised. How? You see them by their actions at polling units. There were places where INEC was the one campaigning for APC. I mean the people working for INEC were asking the electorate if they wanted to vote for the APC. Finally, was it not in INEC where the election was altered? Where was the announcement of results haboured, was it not in INEC? So, INEC performed woefully. Considering the gap, less than 20,000 votes, does this not reflect fairness? In 2014, PDP won the entire 16 councils. In Ekiti State, we have never had figures like this. The reason is this. In Ekiti, people used to make up their mind, where they would go. We are not cowards. So whoever they want to vote for would have wide margin. Whenever you see margins like these, you know it is a manipulated margin. It can never be like that. That shows you that something is hidden somewhere. It was in the process of adding up, adding up that they even got to that place. You will hear many things in court. You will hear many revelations. The result was altered three times to make up for that final figure. What is your message to your supporters? We just tell them to keep calm. We have our facts ansd figures. We have a very good case before us and we are going to win this case. We have good battle to fight. We thank the people because they have not gone out to start misbehaving, or doing one thing or the other. If it were before, Ekiti would have come out and nothing will happen. The security men would have been consumed. It happened in 1983, it happened in 1963. It is because we have maintained maturity. We urge them to continue.https://newtelegraphonline.com/2018/07/ekiti-election-was-stolen-falsified-adebayo/ |
The All Progressives Congress candidate and winner of the July 14, 2018, governorship election in Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has been caught in phobia as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) prepares documents to proceed to the Ekiti Governorship Election Tribunal. Probably suspecting that the authentic figures may be revealed, Fayemi was gathered to have accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of allowing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawyers access to electoral documents. He protested that this was contrary to due practice. National Daily gathered that Fayemi’s counsels complained of INEC releasing electoral materials to PDP counsels without first notifying the other parties to the suit. The lawyer of the governor-elect had argued that the action could provide opportunities for falsification of figures. The former Minister of Solid Mineral Development was declared winner of the Ekiti State Governorship election by the INEC amidst controversies which included the actions of the Police in intimidating PDP supporters and in some instances attacked Governor Ayodele Fayose. The Police, however, narrated their side of the story and pleaded to make amends in areas where errors were made. Many stakeholders were thrown into consternation when INEC declared Fayemi winner of the election after the violence of the Police. They did not believe that the declaration reflected the real will or choice of the Ekiti People. Thus, National Daily gathered, that two prominent Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), both of who h had won about three governorship cases over the years, volunteered to handle the case of the PDP at the Election Tribunal and beyond where necessary. The involvement of the two SANs on the side of PDP constitutes serious threat to Fayemi and the APC in Ekiti.https://www.onlinenigeria.com/news/generals/42855-ekiti-2018-fayemi-jittery-as-pdp-prepares-for-tribal.html

Lawyers to Ekiti State Governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, have alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has granted the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lawyers access to electoral documents used for the July 14 governorship poll without notifying other parties. A member of Fayemi’s legal team, Mr. Tajudeen Akingbolu, said his party has formally written to INEC requesting for the Certified True Copies (CTCs) of the electoral documents which had not been granted. Akingbolu said the documents requested include Forms EC8A, EC8B, EC8C, EC8D, EC8E among others, wondering why INEC had allegedly allowed PDP lawyers access to the documents without the knowledge of other parties. According to him, the normal practice is that when a party has been given access to electoral documents, other parties must be notified and their lawyers must be present to prevent any of the documents from being mutilated or tampered with. Akingbolu who spoke with reporters in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday said he had gone to INEC office to see the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Prof. AbdulGaniy Raji, on the development but was told that he was not on seat. When contacted, INEC spokesman, Mr. Taiwo Gbadegesin, declined comments on the matter saying,“only the REC can speak on the development.” Akingbolu said: “Immediately after the election was conducted, July 16 to be precised, we wrote an application to the REC to the effect that we need CTCs of Forms EC8A, EC8B, EC8C, EC8D, EC8E and other documents used for the conduct of the election but up till now, we have not been granted access to those documents. “This is my third time of coming here but we heard scary information this morning that our adversary, that is PDP, have come here and have been given access to those documents. “We were reliably informed that they (INEC) have opened the store where these documents are kept for them without putting us on notice. “That is why we want to sound a note of warning that, for any document to be released at all, every party must be available and every other party must be on ground and present. “We don’t want a situation whereby electoral materials, particularly the ballot papers, will be mutilated, tampered with or destroyed. They can be thumb-printed again to make them look as if they are void. “That is why we want to warn INEC to be on the side of caution on this issue. We know the character of the people we are dealing with, we don’t want to take any chances at all and we don’t want to be put on the defensive. “We heard from a very reliable source that they have been having access to the documents since last week. In a situation in which the other party is not given access, it looks somehow. “I went to REC’s office but I learnt he is not available and I have to come out and wait for him. That is not the practice anywhere in the world.”http://dailypost.ng/2018/07/26/ekiti-election-fayemis-lawyer-laments-pdp-secret-access-electoral-documents/amp/

ABUJA- National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus has expressed optimism that the party would reclaim power in Ekiti state in court. Uche Secondus He stated this at the 80th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party which held at the party’s headquarters, Abuja on Monday. Briefing NEC members present at the meeting, National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus lamented the manner of conduct of the recent Ekiti State governorship election which the party lost to the All Progressives Congress, APC, saying the PDP would go the whole hog to reclaim the state in court. “This meeting was called to review recent happenings in the country and to take critical decisions that would help salvage the country’s democracy. “Another example of how the system has decayed under the watch of the APC is the recent Ekiti election. What happened in Ekiti was a shame and mockery of democracy. It was disgraceful. “Let me assure our teeming supporters that we have all the polling units’ results and overwhelming records of electoral infractions by the APC, security agencies and INEC. We will reclaim our mandate in court. “The security agencies threw decency and fairness over board, openly teargassing, intimidating and arresting PDP supporters. They chased away PDP agents, provided cover for APC thugs to snatch and stuff ballot boxes all in the bid to assist INEC to rig the election in favour of APC,” he alleged. Bemoaning the recent killings in some parts of the country, Secondus faulted President Muhammadu Buhari’s handling of national security noting that under his watch, human lives have become worthless. “Nigeria is truly at a crossroad. In our wildest imagination, none of us thought that Nigeria could deteriorate to the level it is today. Life is no longer worth anything with rivers of blood a constant spectacle. “The monkeys and baboons have been truly soaked in blood. No day passes without innocent Nigerians being slaughtered in their numbers by killer herdsmen, bandits or Boko Haram. Insecurity has so worsened that people are genuinely scared to travel freely. “Yet, this was a government that promised to wipe out Boko Haram in a matter of weeks. The lack of political will to rein in the killer herdsmen has left Nigerians and the international community in shock,” he lamented, even as he called on the party not to allow a repeat of what happened in Ekiti in the Osun governorship election. Also speaking, chairman of the Board of Trustees, BoT, Senator Walid Jibrin said the Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP, which recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would succeed in kicking out President Buhari in the event if his emergence as APC Presidential candidate. On his part, Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio urged Party supporters to brace up for the glory that await them saying, “We may become the majority party in Nigeria very soon and we are not just going to be the majority in negotiations but also in both chambers.” Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu sympathised with party leaders over what he called their persecution by government, urging to take the situation as a price to pay for democracy to flourish. “We sympathies with our members unjustly persecuted. We are happy that they are alive, that is the prize for democracy. “We cannot allow injustice in this country and that is why we are building a nation where no body will be unjustly treated,” he noted. Present at the meeting were Deputy Senate President, Like Ekweremadu, former Senate President, David Mark, Gombe State governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, former governors of Kano, Niger, Cross River, Katsina, Benue, Kogi and Plateau States, Ibrahim Shekarau, Ibrahim Babangida, Liyel Imoke, Gabriel Suswam, Idris Wada and Jonah Jang respectively. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has observed with interest, reactions to a tweet that purportedly appeared on the Commission’s Twitter handle on July 15, announcing the imminent revival of the criminal case against Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State. EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Monday said in the opinion of most commentators, the tweet coming a few hours after Fayose’s protege, Kolapo Olusola of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lost the governorship election to his All progressives Congress rival, Kayode Fayemi, betrayed the partisanship of the EFCC in the political contest in Ekiti State. Uwujaren noted that, “against the background, the Commission is constrained to state that the purported tweet does not represent the views of the EFCC. ” He added that, “As a law enforcement organization the Commission is apolitical and was not involved in the recent Ekiti election. It therefore has no reason to gloat over the political misfortune of any candidate or political god-father.” However, he added that, “While it is true that there is a subsisting criminal charge against Governor Fayose, the fate of the charge will be determined by the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti, at the expiration of his tenure, not the EFCC.”https://thecitizenng.com/ekiti-guber-court-to-decide-fayoses-fate-efcc/amp/

Ekiti guber: Coalition of observers reject results, to release findings Wednesday By Bello Adesola - July 15, 2018 Coalition of observer groups and Civil Society Organisations that observed and monitored the Saturday July 14th Governorship elections in Ekiti State have condemned the announcement of the All Progressives Congress APC candidate John Kayode Fayemi as the winner of the elections. In a press statement, the group said the election does not reflect what they saw on ground and its will open up on the true findings coming Wednesday 18th July 2018 with details of the malpractices that greeted the election. The Coalition in a press statement signed by its contact persons Comrade Haruna Farouk and Nze Adachi Okoro said it was regrettable that the Independent National Electoral Commission as well as the security agencies could be used to short change the people of the state the way they did on the day of the elections. The Coalition said it has gathered evidence that will show how the election was massively rigged describing the situation as a sad moment for democracy in the country. “We have evidences of election malpractices where a particular party in connivance with security personnel went about inducing electorates with cash and coercing them to snap the ballot papers in order to receive cash gifts from the agents of the party in question. “The level of intimidation that occurred during the elections on Saturday was disheartening and shouldn’t be allowed to stand in modern day Nigeria. We witnessed a situation where loyalists of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its agents were harassed and intimidated so as to make it difficult for them to participate in the elections. “Other incidence that we recorded will be made open in our findings which will definitely shock Nigerians and expose the conspiracy of INEC, Security agents and the APC to deprive the people of Ekiti from expressing their constitutional rights.” The Coalition called on the international community to condemn what it called the ‘political terrorism’ that took place against the people of Ekiti state on Saturday stressing that their voice against the actions of the Federal Government, INEC and Security agents will help put pressure on the government to do the right thing.https://www.today.ng/news/politics/ekiti-guber-coalition-observers-reject-release-findings-wednesday-133275/amp

MaxGraviton:I want you to know this is not a matter of practicing any pastoral work, he's in need of help and this is not also the matter of witch and the village people, this is a matter of the heart it is not practical, ask him if he had not try all possible means to stop this act but this will never work because it is right away from the heart, there no how we can overcome sin in our flesh we need the help of God, he's the only that can deliver us ...masturbation is not an act that can be resisted in flesh it comes with a strong urge that is irresistible to human flesh, but requires a power that is greater than it and this can only be found in Jesus the first and the last.....the Psalmist says in Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Sought for the LORD with a humble heart he's ready to deliver. Romans 6:14-19 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace...if you ask in faith he's able to do all things |
You can only be free by Jesus because what you are experiencing requires a greater power to lose you,who is this person it is Jesus Christ the Savior of the world ....no matter the kind of counsels you may have receiving, this can never stop you from falling into this act. This was someone in the Bible under the bondage of sin testifying to the goodness of God in he said in Romans 7:14-25 King James Version (KJV) For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. But there is a way out Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29 King James Version (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.he See's your struggle that's why he said Matthew 11:28-29 King James Version (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.....all you need now is acknowledge your self as a sinner, confess all the known sin and ask for his mercy tell him to forgive you all your sins and tell him to give you the power to go and sin no more and say everything in faith because he promised in Romans 10:9 King James Version (KJV) That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. my brother this is the only way out...... (Rom 16:20) "And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.". look for a Bible believing Church and start fellowshipping with the people of God |
