Health › Ventilator Not The Magic Gadget Against COVID-19: Researchers by ican2020(op): 1:21pm On Apr 25, 2020 |
Ventilator not the magic gadget against COVID-19: Researchers A new study of coronavirus patients in some New York hospitals has raised doubts over the effectiveness of ventilators in saving critically ill patients. According to the study published Wednesday by JAMA Network, around 88 per cent of patients put on a ventilator in a New York hospital system died. The researchers analyzed data from 5,700 patients who were hospitalized from March 1 to April 4 through Northwell Health, the largest health system in New York. Northwell has 12 hospitals across New York City, Long Island and Westchester County. Of those patients, 2,634 were discharged or had died by the end of the study, and 320 patients with a recorded outcome were put on ventilators. Nearly 9 in 10 of those ventilated patients died. But age made a difference. Around 76% of ventilated patients between the ages of 18 and 65 died. And 97%, of ventilated patients over the age of 65 died, according to the report. Of the 2,634 patients, ventilated or not, about 21% died, according to the researchers. those patients, 2,634 were discharged or had died by the end of the study, and 320 patients with a recorded outcome were put on ventilators. Nearly 9 in 10 of those ventilated patients died. For complete information https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2020/04/24/ventilator-not-the-magic-gadget-against-covid-19-researchers/ |

Politics › Re: How Will IPOB A Terrorist Organization Share 300 Million Due To Corona Lockdown? by ican2020: 5:36am On Apr 23, 2020 |
Adefemi404: Following the outbreak of corona virus in the world, many world leaders and billionaires all over the world have made one financial commitment or the other in a bid to combat the virus.
The former vice president of Nigeria and candidate of People's Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar donated the sum of 50 million naira to Nigeria relief fund to help in fighting corona virus pandemic.
Aliko Dangote, the richest man in Africa donated a whooping sum of 200 million naira to Nigerian government for the fight against corona virus.
However, as people are making meaningful commitments, the leader of a terrorist organization Nnamdi Kanu has announced that IPOB will be donating 50m to help in equipping southeast States and hospitals to fight corona virus.
The leader of IPOB also said that IPOB has mapped out 300 million naira to help the southeast fight the pandemic.
Now my question is, IPOB being a terrorist organization, the leader is on the run and he can never step feet in Nigeria, the Nigerian government has banned all activities of IPOB and Biafra, according to federal government they are terrorists. How can this terrorist organization share this 50 million naira to southeast States? Are they going to donate to state governors.......
