ABOUT NIPR
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is the Professional body that regulates the practice and education of Public Relations in Nigeria. It was chartered in 1990 and grants membership to interested professional through it's certification examinations.

There are three(3) parts in all to complete the programme. The first two parts make up the certificate stage, while the last part is the professional diploma stage.

Mass comm and Marketing graduates can get exemptions from the certificate stage and will be required to do the final stage.

FACTS ABOUT PR(NIPR) PROFESSIONAL BODY IN NIGERIA
- The final diploma is an equivalent to a HND/BSc degree and can be used to pursue a masters programme in Nigerian and International universities
- After completion of the final diploma, NYSC exemptions can be provided to individuals who enrolled for the programme with an SSCE certificate.
- Exams are written twice in a year - June/July and Nov/Dec

Hello, find below a response to your enquiries;

1. Fees paid shall cover the cost of materials.
2. Exemptions are given only to student so of Mass Comm or Marketing.
3. The 10 courses(certificate level) can be done at a sitting, while you do the final stage at another diet. Note that you have to complete the certificate level before sitting for the final stage.

I agree with you that the questions in the NIPR exams are applied questions and will need practical knowledge to be able to apply them, but STRONGLY DISAGREE that Lectures and study materials can not prepare you for the exams. Maybe it is because of the lectures/Materials you probably recieved for your preparation. There is no NIPR office for now in Ibadan.

Students residing in Ibadan and wanting to do the NIPR exams will have to  make use of the correpondence option of studying. In this option, you get study materials and study on your own, with opportunities of interacting with some course intructors whenever you need any assistance. Students who have registered online and paid their registration fees are required to bring a copy of payment details to our office and collect necessary information.


Students who purchased the application forms from our office and have not returned are advised to do so before before the start of lectures.

Every student is expected to resume lectures with two 80 leaves long notebook for each course.


Note that students will not be allowed to class except they present evidence of payment of at least 60% of tuition fees.
