He performed under oliseh,DT I knw cool
No , I watched him under Oliseh, too , and it was when he just got invited. He showed the usual first good impression but just like Aribo (and Ogbeche) he has consistently remained unproductive. Time will always reveal the true quality of a player. You are supposed to get better not fade , especially a young player.

Where were you when him and Victor Moses helped to qualify for the previous World Cup?
So, Moses Simon qualified Nigeria to the previous world cup and was dropped from the final 23man list. You will never change. I think it was just one assist admist hundreds of his usual unproductive dribbles and terrible set pieces....continue but na you go cry

Over the years, Moses has been doing well in his club under different coaches. How come he is not doing well under only Rohr in recent times?
Has Moses ever performed under any coach that has coached the SE ? Answer this question.

People keep harping on Iwobi as if he has ever solved our midfield headaches. Perhaps, we should ask if Iwobi is the only option available to us. Iwobi is best an 8 or a wing-midfielder not a controller like Amoo , Nwakali or Obinna Nwobodo.

What drives me ffucking crazy is why is this useless whitey not inviting our boys, especially, when they are not bench warmers. And , please let nobody say any nonsense about the league they play in because Rohr has invited and kept inviting players in lowly rated leagues but turned a blind eye to these players who could solve our midfield problems.

Rohr was on the stand the day SE team B played Athletico Madrid in Nigeria and with his Kolo Kolo eyes he saw the magnificent act a clubless NWAKALI pulled off that day. Why is he acting like he doesn't know Nwakali has been playing and consistently improving. Couldn't he use the SE invite to encourage Nwakali and potentially sell him to a decent club, JUST LIKE HE HAS USED THE SUPER EAGLES TO SELL SOME FB TO BETTER CLUBS.

I still remember when I said you are from Abia State, you were angry and replied me with insults. Is it not because you feel Abia people are inferior to Anambra that you claim you come from?

Abeg go siddon.
Shut up , you embittered old man. Igboid's hometown is next to mine. Why would he lie about where he hails from.

Meanwhile, you have lived abroad this long yet you still reason like a caveman. You live and breath on Igbo hate. Disgusting

Umahi will always behave like a fool, despite being the chairman of SE governor's forum , which means he is like the leader of South East.

Ejuke SEEMS to be the most mature of all our winger forwards. Chuks is my boy, but Ejuke edges him in trickery. Knowing that the team is deficient, a more tactical coach would try Ejike on the AM position, placing Iwobi on the left wing. But our coach na real muuuuu!
Good thinking but that midfield pack comes with a lot of responsibilities. Ejuke might hold the ball a little too long and starve the attack. We need a natural midfield controller.

Mikel Agu never had enough chances to prove himself. I have good eyes for pure ballers , believe me when I say this. You remember Aremu from CHAN eagles....correct baller but the Nigerian league is a huge set back.

Modafokas were making excuses for him saying that it was the bad pitches affecting him and they always threw in his flash-in-the-pan performance against Brazil, as a point. Our number 10 ought to be hallowed, but I think the desecration started with the very pompous and over hyped African Guadiola. If Paul Onobi and Gabriel Okechukwu could pull on our no10 shirt, then why not Aribo? grin
They know Aribo has not proven himself worthy to start nor wear the number 10 jersey but they are too ashamed to admit it here. They hyped him so much that they ended up devaluing him because much was expected. I can see through these foreign born like a sieve....they are not better than we can produce, just a better system.

You ain't wrong sha. I just wish he or Alhassan could do it like Algeria's Ismael Bennacer
Hahaha.....naa , bro. A midfield of Ndidi-Onyeka-Iwobi will still not work because Iwobi will become the weak link. Why do we keep mistaking Iwobi for an attacking midfielder. Yes , Iwobi had scored some important goal but we expect him to create play but he doesn't have that ability. Invite Nwakali , Amoo and Obinna. Iwobi can never function against a high pressing side, period. His ball carrying is piss poor .

Ndidi was statistically the best DM in the premier league...prove me wrong with the stats used to rate DMs...and when did Pogba become a DM?? Moses was a glorified wingback that was the best player in that dominant Chelsea team, wasn't he? Did you not just say our players aren't in top clubs? I gave you Moses and Iwobi as examples, you reject am... what's your point?

And you mentioned Onuachu as if you won't have added him to the list of players you bashed if he had played today...

Your post is a pathetic attempt to discredit the effort of our players who are obviously doing well enough at their clubs,so as to make the white fraud look good... You failed! Keshi took a team of very average players, some of them who were home based or playing in obscure leagues and won us the AFCON and qualified for the world cup round of 16. He took a relatively unknown Togo team to the world cup...
There's plenty of evidence out there to support the fact that a good manager that knows his onions would get the best out of his team, regardless of how many average players are there....
Your darling Rohr got outclassed by coaches of CAR, Sierra Leone and Madagascar in the space of 2 years..All those teams collectively can't even boost of one player in a top tier Europe top 10 league...
So , in period when Moses played for Chelsea he was their best player? You meant the wing back Moses or another one?

Abeg, why is nobody talking about Aribo, that guy seems untouchable but he really adds nothing to this team. Just backward passes . Nothing else. Moreover, that guy is damn too slow. He lags like a phone of 500MB RAM
I have talked about Aribo before here and said he doesn't bring anything to the team but we have some bunch of deluded people who are praise singers for foreign born players. It didn't take long for them to hand the number 10 jersey to him and anointed him Okocha's replacement. The the inferiority in the African man is very deep ,therefore , anything foreign is superior to their own.

The other day, one of d most criticised guys on this thread (forgotten his moniker) commented on the non-payment of rohr's salary.

In his exact words, he wrote and I quote...."what has rohr done to deserve his salary in the first place"

Well, I wanted to support the guy but after reading a few comments bashing the guy afterwards, I just jejely kept quiet to avoid same bashing from u guys... lol.

Well, at this point, there's nothing to hold back again, as u can now all agree that indeed, the aforementioned guy's claims were absolutely correct...."what has rohr done to deserve his salary"

I know I would still be bashed for this afterall...lol.

Let's keep basking in d euphoria of foolery and self-deception....its our default way as NIGERIANS...ho-ha.

I would never have believed in my present life and in my next life that central african republic would defeat our beloved super eagles at home....this could easily pass for the greatest joke of the millennium.
Cc. BOOOMNAIJA

Bros , Nwa Ide Nnaa was the one that made that comment. But , make no mistakes, not everyone criticizes me. There certain elements here who care for my attention but they never got it....lol.

Now , I put it to you , Rohr will coach this current players for free because he has no worth. He knows he stands no chance getting a job in Europe and now he landed a golden opportunity with this quality of players.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by IDENNAA(m): 8:59pm On Oct 07, 2021
Let me just reveal something to you guys. Even if you owe Rohr for 10yrs he will never leave until you fires him , because money is not his main concerns. This coach has never been blessed with such an amazing set of talents at his disposals. And he is hoping he could use them to make something out of his dead and uneventful career.

During Keshi's , Oliseh's and Siasia's tenure we didn't have the quality of players we now parade , yet our indigenous coaches were still able to get the players play beautiful attacking football, even when we lost. Today , this crappy coach is enjoying the labor of our local coaches who discovered all the good players in this SE team. He knows he is tactically inferior so even if you owe him he will still beg to stay. If he leaves , nobody is going to hire him because everybody knows he is a very poor coach.

If that 94 team beat Italy then you would have rate them.

Pls don't compare the team with any team Nigeria produced from 98 to date..

94 set of players were masterclass, forget afcon they won even 2013 team won it but they are real golden eagles.

I can only compare 1978 team with them who threw 78 world cup qualifications away with own goal though the team later won afcon 80.
Cc.Kog45 Senior man, greetings.

Isn't it funny how some persons are comparing the quality of '94 set of players to what we have today. A team that paraded Nwanu, Emenalo, Oliha, Adepoju, Olise, Yekini, Amokachi, Finidi , Siasia, Amunike. Rated one of the best team in the world...lol

I have tried my best to make a case for Nwakali or Amoo since we dont have other choices but some disagree and rather have us playing Aribo and Kelechi. Kelechi thrives with a playmaker behind him. Invitation of only 3 midfielders for a match will always result in a performance like this, it could have been worse if Bonke started. Where exactly is the coach expecting the creativity and ball retention from? Is it from the wingers that he always assign defensive duties to? BTW what exactly is Ekong expecting from all those long balls, how is he better then Awazie? Or how is Okoye better than Uzoho?
I really don't know the magic the Nff is expecting from this coach. After 5yrs of coaching a talented young team like SE, we still don't have a pattern of play, still depending on individual efforts and luck to win a team like CAR.
This is unacceptable, this man must not add to the frustration of Nigerians
Wise words!

But , what else do you expect when you have people like Pinnick and Eguavon at the helms of NFF.

Go and watch Super Eagles of 93/94. It's on YouTube. There was more competition then than now.
As at TEAM they are far better than what we have. Individually they are also better based on their performance in GWG. We are not talking goals and assists only. Super Eagles of that era was not overrated. They were FEARED even beyond Africa.

Did Ikpeba play as an AM, winger or striker for GWG?
He played as a striker but was mostly overshadowed by the cult presence of Yekini. Amokachi and Siasia were also playing at their very best , and competition was stiff. The quality of players we had when Ikpeba was playing for Nigeria is very superior to current ones.
