I sent in on the 08/17/2012 and it was delievered to KCC by UPS on Tuesday,  08/21/2012 at 9:41....

Few months ago, i realised there was mistake with my year of birth on my Waec certifcate, i do try to contact my school and they advised i bring the original one which they took from me and sent to waec for correction, it was later i leant it takes a while for Waec to get back to those with similar issue.If that is the case what can i do here? i do have the photocopy of the original result I gave to waec. With my case number 11***, i will probably get interviewed in december or january. What is your advise pls or is there anyone with similar situation, pardon me if this has been asnwered before. Thanks

Do u av any other certificate? "(Bsc)"........cos I once read a post abt a lady d@ had a similar issue and was give her Visa based on her Bsc......although she had her interview twice and @ d 2nd interview,WAEC officials wer persent.....she wasn't give her cerificate back bt got d visa....and you can go to WAEC office and also ur school, dey should give u a letter to d@ effect....so u should go wit a WAEC scratch card for any verification.......jst read previous testimonies and PRAY for FAVOUR

Its generaly known as 2*2 or 600x600pixels

Ibracadabra: The 2nd NL is NOT mailed to anybody as KCC, by policy, do not send notification via mails. You only receive an Email from them telling you to log in with your confirmation number (the same you used to check your initial notification letter). So basically, you visit the same www.dvlottery.state.gov and follow exactly d same procedure u used when checking your status. The first NL should b replaced by a fresh Interview Invitation letter (or 2nd NL) which gives u d time and date for your interview.

My own mail got into the spam folder- so I'll advice you to check that as well- especially IF your CN falls below 8500 and IF you submitted on time...

But pls house i have a challenge. during the application, my wife used her family name (i.e Maiden name) to apply instead of my own Family name as the husband because we just finished our wedding then and she has not done the change of the name thing. but during the filling of the ds230 form she used my name as her family name to fill the form which we return to kcc, pls i want to ask if my family name as the husband on the international passport, will it be ok or what do you suggest i do. pls house help. i am the principal applicant.

Bussyme: No because his real DOB is 1987 but agent registered with 1980. The moment they changed interl passport DOB all other documents are ok.

temmytanny: hehehehehe you looking cool gurl . Just look smart,show courage and be confident of yourself and leave the rest for God. Success is yours. About finger prints,they will collect your fingers prints for security and documentation purposes. Do not be scared of that,its normal routine

The computer refused to call my no for interview after almost everybody have been attended to, even those that came after me. I was alone with my thought thinking of so many things that might have gone wrong with serious fear in me. Most of the COs have already through for the day. At around 11:45am one of the CO that was about closing noticed that I have not been attended called me to his window and said, Sir, what are u waiting for? And I said I've not been attended to and he was amazed to hear that, again fear griped me when I saw his facial expression.
He asked me to go back to where I was sitting and he went to meet one black lady. After like 3minutes the lady called me to her window and requested for my passport and my document [original and photocopy]. When she collected it she just shook her head and the I was shivering again. Later she said go to that window[the CO that earlier noticed me on the sit]. And that was how it started.

CO: good morning sir
Me: good morning sir

CO: rais up your right hand and swell that you are going to say the truth
ME: I sworn

CO: is this your form (he showed me the form I sent to kcc with my passport on it) for signing.
Me: I collected it and I signed and return it back to him.

CO: what is your highest edu. Qualification?
ME: Bsc in Biz admin

CO: what courses did you do in your last semester?
ME: I mentioned 4 courses that crossed my mind at that time

CO: tell me your project topic and discuss it with me?
ME: I mention the topic and I discused the abstract of my project topic.

CO: what is your recommendation?
ME: I told him.

CO: what are u doing presently?
ME: am doing my NYSC in a local govt in ondo state.

CO: what department are you and what do they do in your dept.
ME: am in treasury dept and we prepare budget,account and expenditure of the LG.
He asked to stop and the next thing I saw him doing was that he wrote DV ISSUED on my file. And he returned all my original document to me and asked me to wait. He circled one addres in a paper and asked me to go and pick up my visa in 5 working days and lastly he said CONGRATULATION, WELCOME TO AMERICA..

I thank God because I had lost hope being the last person to be interviewed.

Bussyme: @idoo4love,congrat 4 u. The date of birth u used to register for dvlottery last yr should also be used for ur inter'l passport to avoid problem but u must be ready to defend date of birth on ur O'level which affidavit can help and tell co it was mistake frm waec/neco.
* Go to embassy with all ur O'level results, they will select require ones by themself.
* Include ur OND & BSC inview to KCC now but you must ready to proof it at embassy.

Bussyme: Check DV2013 entrant status, it's easy provided correct info is entered. Check i=1 and o=0,

@bussyme and every1 that know about dv stuffs.....pls I was selected for the dv2013...but there is a mistake in my date of birth (1980 instead of 1988 )...I have have 3 olevel results (2 GCE which I used for my ND) and the recent WAEC which I used for my Bsc which is still in view........I did not include either of the 2 schools in the initial application last year......pls what can I do and can I include the ND and the Bsc now before I submit the supplemental form.....pls its very urgent and am confused..and pls I can I reach you privately cos I av sumtin to discuss wit you...Thanks and God bless you all......PLS HELP ME OUT
