Hello House, has anyone experienced a long delay by over 1 month in issuance of IW Visa? When tracked, it says "approved" since February 15th, calling the Embassy is not helpful as they are clueless, what is the way forward please

It's strange. I have a similar situation, but mine is IW. The status was "Application received" for 7weeks but the "case updated" date changed 3 times during the period. Then last week, it suddenly changed to "No status" which made me suspect they needed me to show for an interview, in which case they would send my passport back to me. But my passport has still not been released. Called them and they confirmed that my passport is still with the consulate/embassy, and said they would initiate an escalation to find out why the "No status". Still waiting for feedback.

So I went to pick up my dad's passport some mins ago from DHL Isolo.

I wasnt referring to the Visa sticker stamp itself. There was this small stamp they usually put on the passport page when they refuse a visa. They were doing it years back. I dont know if they still do it or they have stopped.

I applied for visa renewal for a relative last night. He qualified for IW and got approved this morning. However, when I tried to schedule the appointment, I got this. Does this mean he will be appearing for an interview? Or does this just means this is the date he could go submit his documents at DHL?

Once Application is forwarded to the consulate, they can reach out to you for additional information.

That's how it works for most countries, even UK, Australia, Canada etc

Yes they do. Try Ethiopia Airlines or Rwanda Air. Or if you have the money, try Virgin or British Airways as they are both direct flights to Uk
