edrys: Morning to all. My 10mnths lo cries and strains a lot whenever he wants to poop (though he poops in 3 days interval b4 now). First we thought it was because of the cereal he was taking, so we change it to cook pap(ogi) and peak milk step 1 but no changes yet. He is still been breastfed. His Mum and I are very worried and concerned now. cc kaffy4bill zaynie bedam and other well meaning Mama and Papa. My son once had that, so I discovered he hasn't bin taking enough water when at his crèche so I told them to help me give him water well. It stopped after that. Your wife can also take more fruits and also give ur baby few fruits too like watermelon and pureed boiled apple. Hope it helps... |

MiracleMum: Having a good laugh here Their daughter walked at 7 months. She must be "special" If na me be you, i wont buy something there again because they'll keep monitoring and comparing both babies and its unhealthy. Hope you didnt take it out on your son because my 11 months old is yet to walk on her own, she's still holding things to walk. So chill, all babies are different and very unique. My sister dont mind dem ooo, the "special" child is a teenager now oo. I no even look their side as long as my bobo is hitting all his milestones perfectly. You know when people say all those things, I just laugh cos I know every child is unique in their own way.. |

This drama just made my morning I swear!!! I was coming to rant before sef: some people can like to annoy someone, that was how the woman I buy things from was asking me if my 8 months old son has started walking. I said "no", she and her husband was now saying " he ought to has started now, our daughter walked at 7 months". I just gave them the "'shoro niyen' look, collected my spray starch and zoomed off. If I say make I talk ehn, I go just misyarn!!! People can like to annoy someone joor #rantsover. BTW, that chair thing sweet die!!! *runsoutofthread* |

tatacherie: Thanks for checking on us Ma'am.she's doing well by Gods grace.howz u and urs too? @ mama a plz help a FTM out. 1 my baby girl jerks frequently while sleeping like she's frightened or sometin 2 her stomach has been hard 4 3 days now n sounds like drum.she stretches, cries, groan if she wants 2 poo.like truout today no poo n shez jez uncomfortable(not on EBF) 3 there's this strange sound she makes while sucking it sounds like her chest or nose is blocked wit cartar or sometimes very heavy sound 4 my 2 wrist hurts can't do any tin serious with dem.to bathe baby na war.I didn't hit dem anywer o First, my son had a few jerkings too when he was younger but it passed after a while. I just hold him and rock him gently when he does that. Secondly, for the stomach it may be gas. Also you might want to reduce the formula to water ratio as advised by a mum here. Third, for the sound in the chest I'll advice u see a paediatrician. My son had same though after a cough and catarrh period so we saw a doc and he gave us some antibiotics. We also had an X-ray to rule out any issue. He was fine after the antibiotics. Lastly, I can't really say anything about the wrist as I have no experience in that. Other mamas can help... God bless u |

proudmom38: Lol @drawing rain..My dear I'm trying 2 work things out 4 her,e.g calling her husby first n maybe her parents too later...Thanks I will advise you to be careful on this matter cos getting involved in an in-law issue can be tricky. Cos after all is said and done, it is her family and you might end up bin tagged "the outsider". She has to rise up and stand on her feet to make the change and this can only be done when she discuss with her hubby. Just be careful and give her all the advice u can give... God bless you |

Some days back he cried at nite I use water therapy on his navel in d process he dosed off cos he felt relieved dunno whether I can give him gripe water? Pls sabi mama help a sister.... tx I can totally relate to this! It is probably colic. Pls try as much as possible to burp him after each feed. You can place him on his stomach facing ur laps and rub his back gently just to get rid of gas. Also you can reduce your milk intake cos it could be affecting him also. Don't worry mama, it's a phase and it will surely pass! God bless ur LO... |

Good evening wonderful mamas, its bin a long time on here. I have bin on the silent mode for a while now (though an old member). The support in this thread is real and I pray God bless all of us mightily. Good to be back, not on another missionary journey yet ooo (my DS is still lounging) Proudmum, my advice for ur friend is just to find a way to get across to her hubby and suggest that she moves out. She can tell him she is comfortable enough to stay alone with the child, this way she can avoid the issues arising. I want to believe they are legally married so it isn't the case of the in laws just taking advantage of her. I wish her all the best... |
