Please House any news on NASCONhuh
Following the trading pattern in NASCON in recent weeks is likely the result will deviate from the trend of Q1,2 and 3. Furthermore the recent N9 resistance level may be broken this week. Another news that may be in the favour of the company is the paste project which was to have been commissioned in Q4 2014. For me am in it big time though the usual 70k to 90k may not be possible this year. I rather see a 1:5 bonus and a 45k to 50k dividend. For about 4weeks it has been in the top list of stock picks of my broker.

Transcorp first oil has been a shifting goal post even the former president Obinna Ufudo once mentioned that the oil will start flowing end 2014. For Sacoil to have withdrawn from the farm-in tells a lot of uncertainty as they may have been frustrated with the management of Transcorp. The last information was the acquisition of data and looking at 2017. I see a lot of hurdles to Transcorp. Indeed the distance between exploration and production is a long one.

YOU MUST BE ONE OUT A MILLION. I WILL BE THE LAST PERSON TO RECOMMEND THEM. THEY LACK ANY REASONABLE BUSINESS VALUE. MY LAST INTERACTION WITH THEM WAS WHEN I SENT A MANDATE FOR N2.5MILLION ORDER, AFTER TWO DAYS OF NOT FILLING THAT MANDATE, I CANCELLED THE MANDATE. THREE DAYS LATER I GOT AN ALERT FOR THE EXECUTION EVEN WITH AN ADDITIONAL PURCHASE OF DUNLOP WITHOUT ANY EXISTING ORDER FROM ME. DEFINITELY IT WILL NOT BE FAR TO DESCRIBE THEM AS FRAUDULENT! AS AT TODAY THE VALUE OF THAT N2.5MILLION IS NOW LESS THAN N100K.

This is the kind of information an ideal regulatory body like SEC, NSE and those in the likes of Bonniface Okezie should act in the favour of minority shareholders. WILL THEYhuh?? If Lafarge can pay 37.48 for the same stock and now wants to pay only 24. Even in June the improved Q3 2014 result of Ashakacem was not yet out which should have even meant a better deal. THE ASPECT I REALLY DON'T UNDERSTAND IS, IF I DECLINE THE OFFER WHAT HAPPENS TO MY HOLDING SINCE THERE WILL BE NO ENTITY CALLED ASHAKACEMhuhhuh
mercylicious:
for ashaka peeps

LAFARGE makes offer to minority ASHAKACEM shareholders

Dec 8 (Lagos) - Late on Friday of last week, the management of Lafarge Africa ( WAPCO ) notified the Nigerian Stock Exchange of its intention to conduct a mandatory tender offer (MTO) to minority shareholders of Ashaka Cement ( ASHAKACEM ) for 927 million shares, representing 41.39% of the company.

Ashaka Cement Plc ( ASHAKACEM )is one of the businesses involved in the Lafarge Africa merger - the consolidation of Lafarge’s Nigerian and South African business entities. Based on information from the company, Lafarge Africa will have to issue 57 new shares for every 202 shares held by minority shareholders of ASHAKACEM .

This implies an exchange ratio of about 1:3.54. Ashaka shareholders will also receive an additional N2 per share as part of the deal. The MTO opens on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 and closes on Friday, January 16, 2015.

Based on Lafarge Africa’s ( WAPCO )last closing price of around N 78 per share, the MTO values each Ashaka share at around N24.0 per share (cash consideration of N2.00 inclusive). This is around -2% below Ashaka’s last trading price of N24.6. Our inclusion of the cash consideration assumes that N2.00 will be paid for each ASHAKACEM shares exchanged.

The N24.0 per share value is also around -36% below the implied price of N37.48 that WAPCO paid for ASHAKACEM shares when it consolidated its Nigerian and South African businesses. At the time, the N37.48 price per share implied a premium of around 29% over the N 28.95 price that the shares were trading on as at June 05.

Analysts at FBN Capital in Ikoyi expect a neutral reaction to this offer.

Hw will somebody buy Oando right at N22 while it is cheaper on the floor?. they need to rethink
You probably failed to understand that the rights was not intended for the shareholders. Is likely the money been sort had all ready appeared in the expense account. So don't bother the rational for the pricing. Last year when they were desperate First registrars adopted online download of the rights circular, but this time around they are not considering that. Whyhuhhuhhuhhuh?
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ifeykay(m): 10:34pm On Nov 24, 2014
The development in these two metrics appear heart warming to the Nigerian Market. Hope the Coordinating minister does not see this as a basis to loosen the "tight belt"...... Whichever way the market will welcome this positively.

Is OANDO really planning that anyone will participate in the right? Or just for them and cohorts? With the mailing system in Nigeria, when will the circular arrive? I remember last time First Registrars showed strong performance in innovation with the online download of the circular, will this happen this time ORhuh? We are watching.

OANDO PLC ANNOUNCES ITS RIGHTS ISSUE
Oando Plc has notified The Exchange of its Rights Issue on the basis of 1

The offer opens on Monday, 24 November 2014 and closes 19 December

Plz verify it before acting on such information.
Myjoy, was it not in your post few weeks ago where you boldly asserted that OANDO has no plan for right issue in the near future? Are you really an insider or there are meetings you don't attendhuhhuh?? There is God ooooo!
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ifeykay(m): 3:06pm On Nov 17, 2014
Bros, we must be looking at different results. OANDO PLC reports as a group not company. The OANDO PLC Revenue was down by about 4%++ and a PAT of 10.7billion an EPS of 1.26. Is that fantastichuh? Remember Q2 PAT was over 8billion in essence QOQ was less than 3billion.
myjoy08:
Sir, you mean a company making profit after tax from N1,201,528,000 to N21,965,569,000 is not a fantastic result in your own viewhuh Don't worry the immediate bull run you are expecting (on Oando) might caught u unaware!

Sir, don't trust me but believe me there is nothing to fear about. The major issue behind this is the fall in crude oil and it is just a temporary issue. Nothing, I said nothing to fear about. Just be buying a good fundamentals stock in tranches if the means is there. Sir, once again, there is nothing to fear about. When election is over, I will like to see another gospel of fear that will be disseminated....

passwelle: NSE made them change it. No disappointment for these set of Cowboys. The offer will be OVERSUBSCRIBED (e.g recent news suggesting FG wants to increase its holding in the said hotel).
Bros, remember the days of Bank consolidation, Dangote appeared in almost all the offers as well as the DG who turned market maker for the Banks. I read that news you quoted and had a feeling of Govt doing a PR to solidify the position of the cowboys. Well lets see how it plays out. For me it seems too expensive at N10 with OS of 8billion (post IPO).

Has anything changed on The Transcorp Hotel's IPO? Thought it was to have opened on 24th September and end on September 3o.

When I thought this would have ended, then I got this mail today from one of the NSE brokerage firm "XXXXX Securities Limited would like to invite you to participate in the on-going Transcorp Hotels Plc (THP) Initial Public Offer.
THP is offering 800,000,000 Ordinary shares of 50 kobo each at N10.00 per share. The offer opened on the 25th September and is due to close on the 17th October 2014"

Did the cowboys get some disappointments? Any reason for the shift in dateshuhhuh
