You are very correct, no limits to the amount you can carry but you must declare it to customs. In same vain, on entering your destination (I am sure of the US) you have to declare if you are bringing more than $10,000 in cash and goods.

I want to ask a question please, governors in Nigeria were they elected to commission roads and boreholes? People still come out in their numbers to celebrate this backwardness. These projects are no brainers and even a mad man can approve funds for these projects. They should be more creative other than wait for Federal allocations, pay salaries if they want, sink boreholes and wack the remaining and people still celebrate. I expect governors by now to have outgrown this practice of the 60s when sinking a borehole was a big deal.
