This is still some of the reasons I strongly believe that the southern votes will be evenly distributed among the three major candidate (Tinubu, Obi and Atiku) with the winning margin very small.

Who ever win the majority vote from the north will be the winner of 2023 election, even if the winning margin is less that 10%, the person will still win the general election.

The three candidate need to work more in the north as the South has some how been shared between them.

Who ever between Atiku and Tinubu that is able to tap from Buhari bloc vote from the North would have the day. To be sincere am not seeing Obi win from the North, it is between Atiku and Tinubu, but he will perform well in the North central but that cannot make him to win the North.

For Obi, he might possibly win majority from the South but the margin will be quiet small, he cannot win majority vote from the North. Obi only chance of winning 2023 is if he can clear SE and SS thereby making him to win majority vote from the south with large margin. But the truth is that PDP is very strong in the SS and they will likely win there, even if it happens that Obi win SS, the margin will be very small because PDP will give him a run for his money in the SS.
So by and large Obi chance of winning 2023 election is very slim.

For Tinubu, he is surely winning the SW and might possibly win the highest vote in the entire south but the margin will be very small. So anyone that win the north can easily cancel the winning margin from the south and take the lead.
But if if Tinubu win from the North, he will become the winner of the general election either he win from the south or come second. Tinubu chance of winning the North is not so very bright, but anything can happen.

For Atiku, he cannot win the majority vote from the South, his chances of winning the North is brighter than that of Tinubu. His performance in the South will not be bad considering the fact that the Southern votes would kind of be evenly distributed. He is coming second in SE after Obi, also coming second in SW after Tinubu, for SS he might either win Obi with small margin or Obi win him with small margin. With this, his performance down South will be fair and if he win from the North, he will become the winner of 2023 election.

They might be changes on the above depending on how the campaign will go.
