As the 2023 election draws near, former Local Government Chairmen who served between 2016 and 2019 under the administration of Ogun State former Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, on Monday dumped the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the factional PDP governorship candidate of the party, Oladipupo Adebutu, alongside the Director General of the Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organization, Alhaji Semiu Sodipo, received the decampees in Abeokuta, the state capital.

The decampees expressed their delight at joining Adebutu’s “moving train”.


The former Chairpersons: Gafar Balogun(Ewekoro LG), Mrs Olabisi Collins (Obafemi Owode LG), Gbadebo Olajuwon (Ifo LG), Ekun Adebayo (Ifo LG), Josu Amos (Ipokia LG), Kunle Folarin (Abeokuta North LG), and Rasaq Adeagbo (Yewa North LG), declared their steadfast commitment towards the victory of Adebutu and affirmed their unwavering support for the party at large.

Who ever win the majority vote from the north will be the winner of 2023 election, even if the winning margin is less that 10%, the person will still win the general election.

The three candidate need to work more in the north as the South has some how been shared between them.

Who ever between Atiku and Tinubu that is able to tap from Buhari bloc vote from the North would have the day. To be sincere am not seeing Obi win from the North, it is between Atiku and Tinubu, but he will perform well in the North central but that cannot make him to win the North.

For Obi, he might possibly win majority from the South but the margin will be quiet small, he cannot win majority vote from the North. Obi only chance of winning 2023 is if he can clear SE and SS thereby making him to win majority vote from the south with large margin. But the truth is that PDP is very strong in the SS and they will likely win there, even if it happens that Obi win SS, the margin will be very small because PDP will give him a run for his money in the SS.
So by and large Obi chance of winning 2023 election is very slim.
