This action of the governor raises a lot of questions that may appear like kill-joy but it is worth asking.

Are these gifts given from his pocket or the state is responsible? Can the governor go beyond this lottery style of giving and give Lagosians a general gift? Will he be kind enough to carry out his duties efficiently and also protect the lives of citizens?

The truth is we have reduced life to one of luck and this makes sense if it concerns two or more individuals but it is different where it concerns the governor and the people of the state. Government are not meant to give gifts but create a conducive environment for individuals to thrive.

If you know how Bridge financing works, then you'll know Buhari is putting the future generation into debts, especially with how he has tragically mismanaged our economy, which may take decades before we recover from.
He is indirectly telling states to borrow more money to pay existing debts. That's like signing a 360 deal twice; only a fool will do that.

Anyone offering you bridge finance at a start up interest rate of 9% is indirectly robbing you and putting you into more debts. The rates increase with time, which means the debts are increasing. Nigeria is plagued with Insecurity and Corrupt politicians. Taking a bridge loan will just spell more DOOM for us. The politicians will loot a substantial part of the money, then leave the citizens to their fate when it's time to pay back the loans. States can't even invest the loans because we are currently dealing with insecurity and other problems.
Why giving out another loan, when we can't give account or see the positive effects of the previous one?
The next President should just know he'll spend his entire tenure on how to handle loans and repayment, that's why you see a 2-year Moratorium. Buhari will be gone by then, he'll probably be in london.

P.s. If you don't understand how Bridge finance works and the effects it'll have on Nigeria and the coming generation, please don't quote me!
