Bokoharam detainees will soon be relocated out of Anambra: http://www.channelstv.com/2015/07/08/boko-haram-detainees-obiano-says-meeting-with-nsa-delegation-successful/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
From my experience, Igbos in Southeast are way smarter, very hardworking, well cultured and accademically brilliant than igbos living in Abuja or Lagos. I have always adviced friends who want to improve their kids academic performance to send them to boarding school in East. Why do igbos abroad prefer marrying from South East than Abroad or Abuja? Did innoson learn his vehicle manufacturing in Lagos? Bro believe it or not you are more like a subhuman when compared with those dudes living in Southeast,if you doubt me challange them academically. |
Onitsha traders protest forceful eviction from business premises. Traders at the Williams Street Hardware and Furniture Materials market in Onitsha, Anambra State have cried out for assistance over what they termed unlawful and forceful eviction from their business premises by agents of the state government. Executive of the market, led by its Chairman, Onyeiwu Christian and Secretary, Peter Uzoechi, while addressing newsmen yesterday alleged that some people who claimed to be acting on the orders of the state government forcefully broke into their shops on Sunday and carted away goods and cash running into hundreds of millions of naira. The traders lamented that those who carried out the act had been compelling them to relocate to their permanent structure located at Ogbunike in Oyi Local Government Area; a move, which they said, was against the will of the traders. They argued that street trading was a legal business all over the globe, wondering why the state government had not banned such in the state. Most of them, they said owned private shops on Williams Street, Onitsha, saying they had always met their obligations to the state government by paying their stipulated levies. 'They served us eviction notice last Thursday evening and stormed our business premises with truck loads of security agents on Friday morning. They chased us away and started breaking into our shops with welding machines and continued till yesterday. They carted away our goods and cash from individuals ranging from N2 million to N800 million. We are law abiding and we cannot resort to violence and that is why we are crying out,' the traders said. When contacted, the leader of the eviction/enforcement team and Head of Ocha Brigade, Anambra State, Chief Kenneth Okonkwo confirmed the incident, but said no goods or cash was looted. He said the goods were instead transferred to the permanent site of the traders at Ogbunike and noted that government had to apply force since the traders had rejected all avenues for peaceful compliance. He said government could not fold its arms and continue to loose revenue from traders while they had a befitting permanent site that could accommodate them comfortably. The Sun |
Zonacom:Buhari needs South East and South South more than they need buhari! The only governor who seem to understand this fact is Wike of Rivers. The only way to earn respect from a jihadist is to be jihadist yourself. I once told a Black African that the quickest way to end racism in America is to be very Racist,he thought i was crazy. You dont play the victim game otherwise you attract more bullies. |
People Beware! Not everyone who claims Igbo here is an igbo person. “interesting is the military prowess of the Fulani which though not fantastic, has been mystified through their ability to fuel acrimony among their rivals and their capacity to show great courage in the defence of collective interest rather than the defence of individual wisdom.” – The Vanguard Newspaper, February 7, 2002 |
S/East Governors Kick Against Relocation Of Boko Haram Prisoners - Channels Television www.channelstv.com/2015/07/05/seast-governors-kick-against-relocation-of-boko-haram-prisoners/ |
The Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has asked traders in the state to be ready to pay taxes and levies for the development of the state. Obiano said this while inaugurating the Traders’ House built by the Amalgamated Market Traders Association of Anambra State on Wednesday in Onitsha, the Anambra State capital. Obiano, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Nkem Okeke, noted that taxes were needed by the state government to meet various social and infrastructural obligations it owes the citizenry. “The government had performed excellently well in security, construction and re-construction of roads as well as environmental cleanliness, which all of you can attest to. “But we cannot do all these and sustain them without your cooperation through paying your taxes and levies; since traders make up 75 per cent of the population of the state. “Again, it is clear to everyone in the country that allocation from the Federation Account is dwindling and we need to shore up our Internal Revenue Generation through streamlining our taxes and levies generation,’’ he said. The governor also urged the traders to help in keeping the state, especially Onitsha clean. He, however, debunked the rumour that commercial motorcycle operators were banned in the state, adding that the government only stopped them from plying some major roads that could pose danger to them and their passengers. Earlier, the Commissioner for Industries, Trade and Commerce, Mr. Ifeatu Onejeme, had said that the new secretariat of traders would serve as a unifying factor that would bring peace and progress to traders in the state. Onejeme noted that the government was putting electricity in most markets, adding that very soon the state would have markets that operate 24 hours daily. In his address, the President- General of AMATAS, Chief Okwudili Ezenwankwo, said that the completion of the Traders’ House in record time portrayed the leadership of traders as visionary and purposeful. Ezenwankwo, who thanked the government for its financial support, also lauded the contribution of Chief Poly Emenike, who donated N8m for the completion of the complex. |

Begging dangote to invest in the East while discourging igbos from investing in the North sounds like an agenda to me |
Those denying their igboness dont really understand what IGBO means. Igbo to me is a just Collective term for languages with plenty of similar words and structures. Just as bird is a collective term for animals with similar features such as, feather, beaks, etc.( a chicken cannot just wake up one day and choose not to be called a bird while still retaining it beak and feathers) Such similar languages may have evolve from thesame place or ancenstors. |
Stolen:Bro i noticed you are igbo muslim unlike most igbo muslims i know, you seem different because of your great devotion to igbo cause and interest. God bless |
I could find ways to get Ifeanyi uba or someone close to him read the wonderful suggestion here but my biggest fear are those derailing this thread and excessively negative people. |
*Not sure about this source BREAKING NEWS: Soldiers escort dreaded Boko Haram convicts to Anambra prisons www.newsexpressngr.com/news/detail.php?news=12498&title=BREAKING-NEWS:-Soldiers-escort-dreaded-Boko-Haram-convicts-to-Anambra-prisons |
PRESS STATEMENT THE PLANNED RELOCATION OF BOKOHARAM CONVICTS TO ANAMBRA PRISONS SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT The attention of the Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has been drawn to the mischievous speculations on the social media that the planned relocation of some Boko Haram convicts to some prisons in Anambra State was done with his tacit approval and endorsement. I wish to categorically dismiss these speculations, hearsay and beer parlour banters as fundamentally untrue and should be disregarded by Nigerians. Hard Facts The fact is that when governor Obiano got wind of the planned relocation of these high risk prisoners to Anambra State, he quickly swung into action and contacted the relevant authorities to seek clarifications on the matter after which he raised several objections to the plan. Among Governor Obiano’s many objections are - That Anambra has been one of the most peaceful states in Nigeria in the past one year under his watch and that the arrival of these radical elements in any part of the state would disrupt this peace and lead to a new regime of a different kind of fear in the state. That Ekwulobia Prisons is not a Maximum Security Prison. It is therefore not suitable as holding place for convicted terrorists. Global experiences show that terrorists and terror suspects are kept in strongly fortified and isolated places. A good example is the Guantanamo Bay Detention Camp where the US keeps high-risk terror suspects and convicts which is a military facility, located away from the people. Ekwulobia Prisons does not fit into this category of detention facilities. That Ekwulobia Prisons has a capacity to hold 85 inmates. At the moment, there are 135 inmates in the prison. Therefore, there is no space for new prisoners. The acute shortage of space presents a high possibility for the radicalization of other inmates by the Boko Haram convicts. That unlike other locations where the terror-convicts are held in sparsely populated areas which makes their isolation from the people easy, Ekwulobia is a densely populated town. There is a very high risk of contact between these radical prisoners and the civilian population with an avoidable danger. That the relocation of these prisoners to Anambra may not have paid adequate attention to the sensibilities of the country, especially the fact that some ethnic populations have suffered the most from the activities of these convicts across the North. Governor Obiano’s efforts to establish this understanding and achieve a speedy and peaceful resolution of the matter went to the highest authorities. He was given assurances that the matter would be looked into with a view to resolving it with dispatch. With these assurances he worked assiduously to ensure that there was no breakdown of law and order during the peaceful demonstration staged by traders across the state on Saturday, June 27, 2015 against the relocation of the inmates. Since the demonstration, Governor Obiano has continued to engage the relevant authorities on behalf of Ndi Anambra to ensure an amicable resolution of the issue. He therefore urges Ndi Anambra and Ndigbo in general to remain calm and avoid anything that might lead to a breach of the peace as the matter is being resolved at the highest level. When will they come back to their senses and begin to impose this one and force it on the Arabs too if possible?
|
They impose this on their own people at the expense of their own attire. The arabs win
|
Igbonazy: |
How can we convince Bokoharam and Fulanis to stop shamelessly killing fellow blacks trying to Impose an Arab value on the country why dont Arab kill themselves too to impose a certain value from African on their people? |
What cant Ndigbo/Nigerians evolve their own value system and stop copying these Arabs and Whites. Have you ever heard them copying our own African values? |
Maser:Bro this is Anambra/igbo thread stop derailing it. Go create hausa or yoruba thread if you like them. Please leave this thread for the igbo patriots! |
pdf90:*Y the hate between Igbo states . What hate are you talking about? Where have you seen the igbos fighting one another like you see in the North, SW ( Ife & Modakeke crisis etc) and some part of South South. Igbo are one of the most peaceful tribe in Nigeria * "Anambra people are in the position to strengthen the South east in everything, politically economically but instead they climb their horses and act like they have it all .." There is nothing wrong being proud of your Governors and states. Progress report from Anambra,Enugu,Imo and Akwaibom is the only reason i love visiting nairaland Wonder why it offends you. *" Have you observed Yoruba states cursing themselves "publicly " Lagos is developed and Ogun is benefitting heavily from them but u won't see Lagos person saying Ogun this or that ..." Same as Nigerdeltans,Northerners and Middlebelt ans *"In my honest opinion to all Igbo states let's be real SE is not wonderful but it can be ".all we need do is join hands and make it work not blowing our trumpets." and who blows the trumpets when it work |
It's ok to hate igbo traitors or those against igbo agenda but nothing can justify hating fellow igbos for being different. |
lygn19:Brother ignore the thugs and move on..they do not represent us and never will. It's very disgraceful reading what these weirdos say on the internet. Imagining calling our sisters and mothers prostitutes and you still want me to believe these people are igbos? strangely you hardly see them insult other tribes. I'm so sorry for all the hurt they have caused you. They are not igbo because they are against our people. They are our common enemies and the traitors |
Maser:I dont trust you, my friend You're evil!. |

He sounded so normal and i doubt such a person ever told people to kill yorubas. I would like to know him more and possibly work with him. The dude is special...His energy can be refocused to something greater than biafra. No single talent should be wasted in igboland. |
Give me 10,000 Biafrans for six months, and we'll build an army that would be invincible on this continent. I've seen men die in this war who would have won the Victoria Cross in another context, i've seen a lot of Africans at war but there's nobody like this people."~ Taffy William Sourc: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taffy_Williams

Ojukwu Quotes... "Since,in the thinking of many white powers,a good, progressive and efficient government is good only for whites, our view was considered dangerous and pernicious: a point of view which explains but does not justify the blind support which these powers have given to uphold the Nigerian ideal of a corrupt, decadent and putrefying society. To them genocide is an appropriate answer to any group of black people who have the temerity to attempt to evolve their own social system" OJUKWU "In the air,the Biafran Air Force has made a most dramatic re-entry into the war, and in a brilliant series of raids has all but paralyzed the Nigerian Air Force. In four days, operations, eleven operational planes of the enemy were put out of action, three control towers in Port Harcourt,Enugu and Benin were set ablaze, the Airport building in Enugu, and the numerous gun positions were knocked out."~ OJUKWU "The brillance of this performance, the precision of the strke, the genius of target selection, have left Nigeria in a daze and her foreign friends bewildered"~ OJUKWU |
Maser:Excellent point you made but hope you were not comparing our hero Ojukwu with Hitler. Ojukwu fought to "defend" us against islamic agressors and preserve our good values (hitler was an agressor, ojukwu wasnt). Ojukwu was intelligent, very calculated, and empathetic. Hitler lacked these great qualities |
Bro thanks for clearing things up but let be mindful of the kind of people we allow to invest in Igboland. I am not confortable with this attitude of allowing a once bush tribe(and less educated too) the fulanis, from the far north to take up all the important companies in the South. What is going on? What is Alhaji Indimi from far north doing in Imo state. Why must the north own oil companies? Do they produce oil |
