No one is Really igbo in Eastern Nigeria... Now listen carefully, doo nti gi aka: The name IGBO is used in describing tribes with very similar languages just like biologists use Primate to describe Animals with similar features (like monkey,gorilla,chimpanzee,human etc). If you go to jupiter now and find animals that share thesame feature with earth Monkeys, baboons, gorrilla,human etc you will call them PRIMATE likewise if you go to Jamaica and find a tribe that speaks something close to what ikwerre,anambra or nsukka man speaks,that tribe AUTHOMATICALLY get grouped as IGBO. Nobody is really born Igbo in Eastern Nigeria,it's just collection of tribes that speak very similar languages. IGBO is just a " Collective term" for languages that are very similar.
I am an Nsukka man,Abiriba or Abatete man not really an igboman,what makes them call me an igboman is the similarity my nsukka language for example shares with owerri or other Southeastern languages...

the only difference is the EKU and AKPO.This many similarity is why both nsukka and owerri are group under the igbo nation.
Owerri for example can easily quit the igbo Union but can never quit being igbo because the Igbo grouping is like a formula that can never be altered. Nobody i repeat No igbo can wakeup one day and decide not to be igbo.

The Ikwerres can all go to hell for all I care, all this while, Igbos have been extending the olive branch to them despite what they did during and after the civil war. Personally, I don't see anything special about P.harcourt, it seems as if P.H starts and ends at Aba road, the inner streets are full of shanties and swampy grooves, aside the flow of oil money, a few fly overs and a few decent office buildings along Aba road, Enugu and Owerri are more beautiful, Aba and Onitsha has far more decent residential houses. Ikwere people are not richer per capita wise than Anambra, Abriba, Anioma or Orlu people among other Igbo sub-groups. In terms of Intellectuals, they do not come close to people of Anambra, Anioma, Imo or Enugu states. In terms of entrepreneurship and industry they pale to insignificance when compared to people of Anambra, Abia and Orlu area of Imo state. They do not have high net-wort individuals like Tony Elumelu, Ernest Azudialu, Jim Ovia, the Asagba of Asaba(Anioma) or Emeka Offor, Innocent Chukwuma, Ibeto(Anambra) or Pascal Dozie, Tony Ezenna(Imo state) ditto other S.east states. So in what area are they better than other Igbos that would make them so haughty to despise other Igbos Kudos to the people of Anioma who knows their heritage and I am happy that they have produced president and secretaries of Ohanaeze ndi Igbo and the support Kachikwu(the new GMD of NNPC) received from Igbos world-wide. If the Ikwerres have realized their folly, they should go and apply to Ohanaeze ndi Igbo to be re-integrated!!!

Nothing you say will change the fact that ikwerres are igbo even if they deny being igbo, takeover other igboland and slaughter fellow igbos. Northern Nigeria was conquered by the Fulanis from Futa Djalon who then infused themselves into the Hausa society.
Bare in mind the Fulanis are a group of northern African Berber people conquered by the Arabs, they therefore adopted the Arabic religion and still maintain some small similarities that which you see today. So I don't get what you mean by they are trying to be like Arabs.

The easiest way to understand how Usman dan fodio succeded in conquering the hausa kings is by understanding how bokoharam under Shekau conquered Borno towns and villages:

*ABUBAKAR SHEKAU believes in imposing a stricter form of islam in the whole North. He percieved the current muslim leaders as being too "corrupt" and not practicing the core islamic teaching. His goal is to reestablish islam in its purest form.
*UTHMAN DAN FODIO suceeded in imposing a stricter form of islam in the whole North. He percieved the dethroned muslim leaders(the hausa kings) as being too "corrupt" and not practicing the core islamic teaching..
However both Shekau and Dan fodio could not have succeeded without the the help of insiders (hausa insider in dan fodio case) who were sympathic to the cause. Muslim communities would be easy to conquer than non muslim community as a result of the activities of this insiders that was why the fulani couldnt conquer the Gwaris and many non muslim communities in north and central nigeria.
So Uthman dan fodio succeded with the help of brainwashed insiders sympathetic to his cause same way Shekau used brainwash muslims insiders to conquer some town in Borno,Yobe and Adamawa.

Igbos should never make the mistake of fighting Mbaka directly. It's obvious he is corrupt and unreliable patriot. Such personalities with large followership who have been compromsed should be fought discreetly or indirectly.

Two kinds of Bokoharam exist in Nigeria:

Most of the bombings in Abuja were likely carried out by ACF. The purpose of bombing the East and Lagos may really be to scare investors and slow down progress to enable the North catch up with the rest of the country.
Economic strength always translate to Political strength. Northern elites could have understood this fact and are doing everything possible to slow the economic progress..

Bokoharam has no interest in the SEast, SSouth and maybe some part of SouthWest. Very unlikely the 2 regions will be attacked.
