I don't understand why everyone is forcing this "southern" idea down the throats of the SE, SS, SW. These regions are all different, and where created so each region could benefit from the center. The north is also divided in NC, NW , NE.

I wish I did not have to say this but the problem in the Southern part of Nigeria - politically is the S.E. If only they'd ignore everybody and just keep stacking their paper - but noooo , we want to rule.... you can just slide to the front after decades of political mismanagement.

i just said everybody should ans em papa surname mbok. please, biko

The issue is a tribal one. Cos this isn't the first time the SE had been totally ignored in a national project with peeps offering support to such moves.

So you can spare me the tribal talk.

If only he is alone in such sentiments, I wouldn't mind, but the tragic truth is that Gbenga mindset represents the default mindset of the average Yoruba towards Ndiigbo and Igboland, as we can see from this thread https://www.nairaland.com/3434857/federal-government-leaves-out-south

Not even those of them masquerading as Igbos are spared of this sentiment.

time will tell

The ongoing road rehabilitation and construction massively going on in the south east aren't going in other geo political zones and no one is complaining why will this senator try to whip up sentiments where it's not supposed to be so. bunch of ingrates.
