You should have been there to arrest Sowore that was among first to pick race. If you arrested him that day and handed him over to police, they will thank you for helping them.

Sowore that knew when he should run and when he shouldn't run away. Is it today Sowore started protest he would not have plan B of running away when he knew he was violating court order earlier served him? On normal protest, Sowore will not run away; he would face police, but in this one; he knew had no right to protest in those areas prohibited by the court. Police purposely went ahead to collect court order so that any one arrest will be lawful. Sowore knew this and had plan B to run away on first sight.

Running away does not absolve you of a crime. If anyone should be arrested it is Sowore the organiser of the "unlawful event" who was also at the event himself. There are video evidence online that he indeed commit "the crime". Now you said he ran away. Okay does that take his "crime" away?

If the crime was that they participated in an unlawful protest citing court order. Surely the organiser who was also at the protest should be arrested.

Whether a bullet hit a protester or not is a question of location at the time of violence. There was no violence from the protesters to the best of my knowledge. Like you cited the only violence against these protesters was from the police firing tear gas.

Running away from the police does not absolve you of a crime if indeed a crime was committed. So if your logic is that Sowore ran away and his crime vanished then the whole arrest is injustice.

What about the organiser of the rally?

I am not understanding the Nigerian Police. So Sowore that organised the rally is free but some protesters were arrested. Did they destroy public property? NO. Did they injure anyone? NO Did they loot any shop? NO

They have a right to peaceful protest. Tinubu should prevail on this overreach by the Nigerian Police.

Court process should not be rushed either. Let the judiciary do their job. Why must a judgement be given because of time limit not based on facts. There must be a time frame for filing complaint but you cannot legislate completion of legal cases. It can go as long as it runs.

This set of legislatures should all be retired. You changed the national anthem and suddenly no one knows how to sing the national anthem including the legislature that changed it. Now you want to destroy the electoral process. To what end?
