that's how low they can get to feel relevant. With that evil mindset, they will keep chasing shadows. I could still remember in 2009-2011 when Gollywood started coming up with quality content, only for them to turn it into por.n That led to the death of Gollywood in Nigeria and Africa except for little movies here and there. They don't believe in process and being organic, so when theirs fail they would want yours to fail too. If you wish to know how an average Ghanian behaves, just watch their commercial adverts it's like how we did ours in early 70s, so archaic.
The other day, their pastor was even warning Nigerian pastors, ah.. even at religious level they still exhibit that witch craft mentality.
Just30: wow sometimes you Nigerians can be infantile and self absorbed.
So a country cannot issue a travel notice to it citizens? Kid it had nothing to do with you and Ghana does not have control on where Americans spend their holidays. If anything at all, this whole year of return Campaign of Ghana has been beneficial to all of West Africa.
It will blow your mind when you learn that it was fake.... Next time don't believe everything you see in circulation on the internet
And when you're passionately typing, take your time so you can be coherent
your are not smart... Why did your Govt apologize when the matter became public and why did your foreign affairs take down the post.? Why didn't he issue same to Ghanians hucking herbal mixtures in Calabar..
vankelvin: I don't even know how that one take concern music and movies arguement Very soon he will add football, jollof then what they have vrs what we don't have
stop hiding your emotions behind emojis. if it isn't about how Ghanians always play down or claim other people's achievement you have no reason to quote me then. Go back to my first post today.
And about the veterans you keep yapping about, you know Nollywood built your defunct Gollywood, and your most successful actors then, featured in many Nollywood movies and that made them even popular in Ghana.
My point is your success doesn't depend on the fall of others. and stop claiming other people's success.
vankelvin: I got to know many Nigerian actors through Ghanaian movies. Your veteran movie actors were coming here in their numbers. It's only this few years (in 2000's) where Ghanaians started shooting movies in Nigeria
Listen to one of your veteran actors in this video below.
It's never true that Nigerias started or taught Ghanaiàns how to shoot movies. Let your old actors tell you history about Ghana movie industry and you will know how we once dominated that industry
That was when they had issues with Nollywood and how much they were being paid. They requested a salary increase and the producers said No.. so their own way of protesting was tell top actors to stop accepting roles, and that actually made the producers to hunt for more local talents and Today the rest is history,
I'm sure if I bring in Literature you'd still find a away round it.
Abeg I don tire to dey talk.
Take the year of return as an example, Within the period your country started it, you needed to see how much bad stuff concerning Nigeria your media houses kept churning out.
Or you think it was a mere coincidence that your ministry of foreign affairs, just few weeks to your 2022 year of return issued a travel warning to Ghanians living in Nigeria and of all places to mention it was Abuja it went all over the net. Why would they do that if it wasn't to make Nigeria look bad, so the black Americans would be afraid to come here. The Minister should have been sent back to Ghana, but for our weak Govt.
vankelvin: [b] I beg your pardon No country talks down on others success more than Nigerians. Critical example is what you are doing now
No we have never talked down on any Thing related to Ghana, for me it's a feminine character, But the music thing was nauseating, and the lies are trending in Ghana. More like after trying for years to compete, instead of accepteing Nigerian music is ahead of GH you found another way round it which is to play down the talent.
vankelvin: Ghana had it's cinema wey before that time but it was for the colonial masters and few other people . I want to know when black nigerians started shooting movies
when was your first movie produced by a Ghanian?
Both in production and shooting, Nigeria had it before Ghana, Before Independence, immediately after Independence, we started producing on a more regular bases and in the 90s we began producing even more until we surpassed Hollywood in number of movies produced annually just behind Bollywood. Today it's a different story with Netflix recognizing Nollywood as a dominant force in African movie industry. Kenya started early too.
Trying to lay claim to every successful venture is a terrible trait built in every Ghanian.
They're peddling the lies Ghana that Nigerian artists ain't talented and it's all about producers and record labels, Yet they forget till date Nollywood movies still still dominates their TVs/Cables. So how does one do better than you in two key areas, all you can console yourself with is bla de bla, I'm beginning to believe the pokuasi guy, Ghanaians should put their house together churn out quality contents and let their work speak.
theenchanter: baba, we're doing well, I mean very well in rap..... Though rap isn't as well received by Nigerians as other genre but rap fans, e.g enchanter knows that Nigerian rap is banging.
Na Nigerian rap full my playlist
not really, We have many Rappers, but personally I'm not impressed. I guess because most rappers tend to mix English with indigenous Language. I'm ok with the mix but at least for a wider audience use a more general language.
This vaxx guy just dey cap nonsense, Before record labels can sign you, they look at your talent. The Vaxx guy is shamelessly trying to down play the Talent we have here, while commending Ghanians.
One area we ain't doing well is Rap. But as it's with Nigerians, they evolve.
When Amapiano began to trend here, asake quickly plugged in and mixed with a little Afro beat, bringing out some nice tunes, Then one Ghanian will then tell us it's not talent and art but record label. Go sing nosence for studio for here, na for studio your song go die put.
Even in Gospel songs, we feature at international level, is that record label too.?
When you see those ahead, respect them, if you're good you're good.
Same way some Cameroonians sometime ago wanted to ban Nigerian songs because they "Dominate" their own songs.
vaxx: Ghana is currently enjoying a high level of international audience now . The recent programs that was recently anchored created such chances . Many people across the world wanted to know more about what is happening in Ghana and his artist.
And again , I really don't know, any global artist that has a large followers from Nigeria must have something to do with Ghana .
Check burna boy and shatta wale humble Beginning.
Check wizkid and sarkodie .
Davido and stoneboy
Check tuface and VIP boys .....etc even old fela kuti....
Ridiculous as always...You for say They are Ghanians sef
you didn't see where I said designed and built in Nigeria by DICON..
If you're jealous I understand, I have 4 other military vehicles to show you, Designed and built by Nigerian engineers, but I don't have the strength to indulge people who see 27km bridge as a national achievement.
HydraFeeds: Tinubu is prolific and proficient. He has invested in several resources that makes him capable of leading from multiple fronts concurrently and efficiently.
Mkenya2019: Dangote is not Nigeria. 130 million Nigerians live in absolute poverty yet Nigeria gas all it needs to make poverty history
yet all Kenyans have to show since 2019 is an elevated express aka bridge.
We now have functioning light rail in two of our cities, imagine if they were in Kenya, it would have been photographed a million times from a million angles to show Kenya is developing. Ordinary BRT you can't hack.
I'm glad countries like Nigeria are there to show you what real development is, not some lip stick flower planting projects
