MrBrown grin I remember our discussion on Cuba grin

I think Willem is still slightly better off. He may do these movies once in a while but people still want to see a movie if he's in it. Can't say the same for Cuba and Cage. . .i just cringe anytime i hear they are headlining a movie grin We can add Wesley Snipes to the list. . .Art of war 2 was shocked

@ Mariah beefers cheesy. Aaw, come on, was it THAT bad?? Okay, don't answer that.

I just felt like she didn't make much effort, much like she just stuck her hand in her extensive wardrobe and put on whatever came out. Not like the over-styled clothes half the Hollywood crowd wore on the night.
Oscar night is supposed to bring out the glamorous so yes, it may look over-styled but its how it is on the red carpet.

Actually i would have preferred Mariah to have stuck with her basic fitted black dress.

^^ What about the final episode (Epilogue) of JLU season 4, which is set 65yrs past JL timeline and 15yrs after Batman Beyond, where we see Terry McGinnis discover that he is a partial genetic copy of Bruce.  As the great Amanda Waller put it. . .

Waller: Did you know I was the government liaison with the Justice League for a while? I met some extraordinary people in that job, but none of them were the equal of Batman.
McGinnis: (Sarcastically) Right, who could be?
Waller: Not my point! I saw him save the day dozens of times with nothing but his wits, body and will. But I saw something else as the years passed. He was getting older, slower. Soon he would have to retire or someone might finally manage to kill him. The thought of a world without Batman was unacceptable. So I decided to make a new one.

Waller: He always was two steps ahead of everybody.
McGinnis: That’s right. Even when it looks like your call, it isn’t. Think about it. Bruce wanted a successor, another Batman. He planned it all from the beginning. I never had a chance.
Waller: Honey, Bruce didn’t overwrite your DNA with his. I did.
McGinnis: How? Why!
Waller: Because the world needs a Batman.

Waller: I've known Bruce Wayne for over fifty years, and I've been keeping an eye on you your whole life. You're not Bruce's clone, you're his son. There are similarities, mind you, but more than a few differences too. You don't quite have his magnificent brain, for instance; you do have his heart though, and for all that fierce exterior I've never met anyone who cared as deeply about his fellow man as Bruce Wayne, except maybe you

Warner Bros. Pictures has picked up action-adventure treatment Leonardo da Vinci and the Soldiers of Forever from producer Adrian Askarieh, who is teaming with Vertigo's Roy Lee and Doug Davison.

Da Vinci is known as having been a painter ("Mona Lisa," "The Last Supper), inventor, engineer, architect and mathematician. The project re-imagines him as a member of a secret society who falls headlong into a supernatural adventure that pits Da Vinci against Biblical demons in a story involving secret codes, lost civilizations, hidden fortresses and fallen angels.

Askarieh, who is producing via his Prime Universe, came up with the original idea and wrote the treatment, with a search for a writer now under way.

Clint Eastwood will next direct a biopic of controversial FBI director J. Edgar Hoover, says The Hollywood Reporter. Brian Grazer and Ron Howard's Imagine Entertainment will produce.

Hoover was the first Director of the FBI of the United States. He was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935, where he remained director until his death in 1972. Hoover is credited with building the FBI into a large and efficient crime-fighting agency, and with instituting a number of modern innovations to police technology, such as a centralized fingerprint file and forensic laboratories.

Late in life, and after his death, Hoover became an increasingly controversial figure. His critics have accused him of exceeding the jurisdiction of the FBI.

Dustin Lance Black (Milk) wrote the script.

Hmmm

Variety has confirmed a Pajiba scoop that Sherlock Holmes helmer Guy Ritchie is attached to direct a new King Arthur project at Warner Bros. Pictures. John Hodge (Trainspotting) will write the script for Atlas Entertainment and Hollywood Gang.

The project is a re-imagining of the legend of Arthur, believed to have been a 6th century king who defended Britain against Saxon invaders. The key source material for the film will be Thomas Mallory's "Le Morte d'Arthur," published in 1485 as a compilation of French and English tales.
Well hello saxons grin

And into some money making plans

On Tuesday, Fox 411 reported that John Krasinski is the frontrunner for The First Avenger: Captain America, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Both Heat Vision and Deadline New York have received an update on who Marvel Studios is looking at now for the coveted role. According to them, Wilson Bethel (HBO's "Generation Kill," "The Young and the Restless"wink, Mike Vogel (Cloverfield), Chris Evans ("Fantastic Four" movies) and Garrett Hedlund (upcoming Tron Legacy) are reading for the role, have tested or have received test offers.

Actors previously reported as testing including Krasinski, Michael Cassidy, Chace Crawford, Scott Porter and Patrick Flueger are no longer under consideration, say the sites. The part calls for a nine-picture deal, the second of which would be The Avengers.

Liam Hemsworth (upcoming The Last Song) has been cast in director Chuck Russell's action-adventure Arabian Nights.

Written by Russell and Barry P. Ambrose, the 3D period epic centers on a young commander (Hemsworth) who, after his king is murdered in a coup, joins forces with Sinbad and Aladdin to rescue Queen Scheherazade.

Inferno Entertainment's Bill Johnson is producing with Mark Ciardi and Gordon Gray of Mayhem Pictures. ROAR also is producing.

Filming is targeted for an end-of-summer start.

Liam's brother is Chris Hemsworth, who is now shooting Marvel Studios' Thor.

He has a british accent in the movie?  Never heard it grin

I would have preferred someone unknown and yes of Iranian decent.  Famous actors don't do well in these kinds of movies.
Frankly these kinds of movies don't always get it right.  Just hope his career holds up if this movie crashes. Besides, Jake is not someone i really like as an actor. I don't see what the fuss is all about. undecided
