It's hard when you don't have common interests.  Your partner should be your friend, if not your bestfriend, then a very good friend.  Even if you dont have the same interests, you make an effort to try and enjoy/appreciate what the other likes (likes to do).

I wouldn't be shocked if I am not his best friend, actually i would be shocked if he thought i was his bestfriend _{which happened to me} But i understand that some friendships have been too long in the making before i came in the picture or that he can meet someone he shares a bond with however it's important that i am his friend.  Am good friends with all of them _{never really had a bad breakup, being good friends comes in handy} [/color]
