Bassey receives a yellow for dissent after powering past a falling Angolan player... |
Caleb stands very strong to win a throw in off of an Angolan attacker with other Angolan attackers waiting in line.. |
Oshimen drops deep to receive a pass before laying it up to Iwobi and he miscues the shot.... Play is continued but Nigeria wins back possession and Zaidu, overlapping from deeps tries a shot, that goes narrowly over. Angola frustrated tries a one way punt into the Nigerian half and Ajayi excellently does well to win possession off an Angolan attacker in the Nigerian box.. |
GOOOOOOAAAALLL!!!!!!! Deep in the Nigerian half with Angola pressing, Iwobi dictates play far in to the left and Zaidu quickly switches ball in the running path of Simon. Simon with a lot of work to do, first of all skips past a desperate tackle from the Angolan right back and suddenly drives into the box..Where Oshimen is eagerly waiting also eagerly waiting were the defenders on Oshimen.. Nobody saw Lukman drifting infield into the box and he receives it before unleashing a cracker... |
Excellent defensive work from Onyeka to dwart a freekick into the box and Zaidu takes the ball on a foot race into the Angolan half but is brought down.. |
Angola switches play to the left and Zaidu is under the cosh but recovers well to conceed a corner...Corner is taken but leads to nowhere |
Angola in possession but the midfield is too strong and so Nigeria win back possession and wins a throwing which aina will take. He takes it and Oshimen peels off his minder to get at it but misses |
Lukman dances in the box but is surrounded and the attack dies a natural death |
Iwobi orchestrating the midfield and the ball is swept to the right. The cross is placed on Osihmen's head but the keeper saves it wonderfully... Play suddenly swept to the Nigerian defense, poor touch from ajayi and the Angolan attacker will drive into the box but panics at the crucial moment and Ekong snuffs it out... |
Caleb does very well to out muscle the silky Angolan winger bent on driving into a dangerous area.. And Nigeria can breathe easily again |
Throw in is badly made and suddenly Angola is on a counter , two vs two but excellent defensive work by Caleb to shield the ball into possession and again the play is transferred to the left, where Nigeria mounts a galloping run but it's snuffed out for a throwing. With the Throw in, play is back on the right again and a sweet cross is made into the Angola box but Osihmen heads wide...It's end to end stuff right here. |
Gelson brings down a Nigerian attacker bent on causing havoc in a dangerous area......Lukman will take it. But play is broken down and Nigeria has a throw in. |
infofirst: That's fantastic....Let me make another thing clear...NFP na bastard.. |
Gasive: Tis just banter, pay no heed...easy bro.. |
NFP na bastard... |
Gasive: No...Not sarcastic. More like antagonistic with dark humor hidden under extreme satirical prejudice... |
infofirst: I see that metaphors aren't your strongest route...Ok..In plain English ..I need her to move aside and let me get ahead in the competition...You get?.. |

I say make light my weed today... Coconut head is getting high with Nasdaq. |
First off, I want to give a big kudos to infofirst for setting up this meet, giving boys a chance to learn a craft in forex and allowing oldies like us to spread our wings then kudos to samfelly for putting it all up together, I am sure it hasn't been easy. This comp format is quite innovative with enough opportunities for everyone to make 10% given the timeframe allowed of three months. And according to my calculations, if we all follow the "maximum" slow and steady lotsize and open positions , it will be hard to blow accounts but relatively easier to take advantage of opportunities when they present themselves in the market. Therefore, infofirst isn't only training boys on how to trade but to be consistent profitable traders....Big Kudos to that guy. |
samfelly: Thanks bro... |
samfelly: So it's darwinex...We use mt5 or mt4? |
Nextt: No mhen...Just venting.. That's all.. |
kozmicity: We? Oh, it's me, myself and I...three very different entities. |
Donsheddy: It's not for you to understand bro..Tis a sum of my mental experience for this month TFT's comp, tis a journal....A trading diary...If I get lost, I can always come to those analysis and restrategize myself then add more story to the journal for later restrategy.. |
Best case scenario? Eventually after all the shakara, Price goes where it's supposed to go then we crocodile this b**tch..We go for the jugular...We kill this bitch dead and good. We go all the f**king way to 30% or more. Or we just play it safe and collect the meagre 7.5% to qualify for info first's giveaway then take our crocodile business to our funded engineer account and f**k this b**tch in the pussy. F**k stop loss..Yeah, f**k you stop loss |
So I believe the strategy for day 2 should be a sum of what we understood from day 1, I mean, we used a buffer of minus -1.8% (that is, 3.2% before D.D)to get us over the worse of NFP. Yes?... Now we position size ourselves just below the drop off point of the NFP high ..Now instead of the original 3.2% before D.D, we starting afresh with the competition's 5% before D.D for Day 2. Plus the extra 2.5% profit of Day 1 which will come in handy when the profits start piling up....Worse case scenario? Price decides to range within our 5% D.D but hey, I got away with 3.2% at NFP news time, 5% should give me so much stopping power at an ordinary trading Monday even with red letter news and all. Thus pay day should be delayed for a day or two.. |
Day 1.... So by 12 noon Friday, NFP day...We got the keys to our account and swung into action just before NFP news at 1.30pm....After which, we forgot out strategy of going in with stop losses and got stopped out immediately the news got out by 1.30...It left us 1.8% in the red. Now the gloves came off because we went back without stop loss but with accurate position sizing. This held us up till 4.30 pm when from near D.D breach at 2.30pm (at some point, it was just 95400$ as equity). We came out of that at 3.4% in the greens again, but we believe it could have been more if only we stuck to our original strategy...4.45 till 7pm, we scented a price rebound but got a consolidation and got wiped back to .9%. Of course the chief culprit being placing our stop losses. Now with price consolidation in full gear, we proceeded to go without stop losses but position sizing to snipe ourselves back to 2.5% thus ended our day.. |
Trading journal.....August post mortem report...So August was kinda volatile but I wasn't hurt just wasn't brave enough nor aggressive enough. Infact five days into it,i was in the 17% threshold, that is, after busting my ass close to D.D before taking the acct back to greens on several occasions...One time it got so rough that we couldn't watch the market but switched off our phone or better still, refreshed our Gmail app, multiple times, to watch out for the dreaded account breached mail from tft support...In retrospect, our greatest undoing was stop losses, this kept taking chunks off our account and made it quite herculean to get back on track...At end of the day, when we got back to 17%, it turned out that we had breached the account by the narrowest of margins...If only we had kept our chunks off from the damn stop losses...Well, we live to learn... |
