The USA was busy stealing German scientists at the time, this was what led to the development of the atom bomb. Nuclear fission/fusion research was a German idea, in origin. Albert Einstein was a German Jew.

The USA becoming a World power was the result of this. Europe was destroyed. The USA didn't suffer much because they were not so directly involved, so everyone turned to the USA to get back on their feet.
