There is a unwritten practice in the DOJ, that they don't do overt investigative steps like arrests and raids 60 days before an election, so they don't influence the election..

Christian nationalism in Britain is being driven largely by people who rarely attend church and are more concerned with defending the country’s Christian heritage, according to research.

The report, by the thinktank Theos, identified five different groups within the UK in a survey that looked at their attitudes to Christianity and Britishness.

The group whose views most closely resembled Christian nationalism, termed “identity integrationists” by the researchers, accounted for 11% of respondents, making it the smallest of the five groups.

Although 81% of this group identified as Christian, just 13% attended church weekly, only slightly above the 11% average across the population surveyed. Less than a third (31%) prayed weekly, while 47% expressed an interest in the Bible.

The group was strongly hostile to immigration and Islam. Just 19% agreed that Christian values required welcoming and supporting asylum seekers, while 30% supported the equal treatment of religions in public life.

In contrast, another group in the survey with high levels of Christian affiliation, were considerably more religiously observant and less hostile to immigration and religious diversity. They comprised 13% of respondents.

Among these “belief integrationists”, 31% attended church weekly, 46% prayed weekly and 62% expressed an interest in the Bible.

Almost half (48%) agreed that Christian values required welcoming and supporting asylum seekers, while 63% supported the equal treatment of religions in public life.

Although they are the group containing the highest proportion of practising Christians, only 18% of belief integrationists think that defending Britain’s Christian culture and heritage is important for being Christian, compared with 90% of the Christian nationalist group.

The Supreme Court ruled that States have some limited rights to regulate insurance companies that operate Medicare Part D.

• Increased Costs for Patients: These fees artifically inflated out-of-pocket costs for patients. In Medicare Part D, DIR fees pushed seniors much faster into the notorious coverage gap known as the "donut hole," where patients bear a larger burden of drug costs.

• Regulatory Bans: Due to bipartisan outrage, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) enacted rules to force PBMs to apply all price concessions at the point of sale rather than as retroactive deductions. Additionally, numerous individual states have passed laws specifically banning retroactive clawbacks and accompanying "gag clauses" that forbid pharmacists from telling patients when cash would be cheaper than their insurance copay .

I won't take your word on any of it as

1.) You don't really seem particularly informed on the things you talk about. I shouldn't be having to explain the Supremacy claus e (Fed laws Trump state laws). It's a basic concept of our Federalism.
And you seem hyper focused on immigration but don't understand or haven't even explored why the Federal government can't force the states to hand over immigrants.

2.) Also the purpose of Medicare Part D was to help certain vulnerable demographics afford drugs. There was going to always be tradeoffs. But you want me to believe Red States that have some of the higher uninsured population and are some of the most inefficiently run streamlined the process in a way that helped the vulnerable demographics afford drugs and helped the pharmacists at the same time? Doesn't track with reality.

3.) The stuff you say here is not consistent with the culture of the US or North Carolina. That's why I asked you where you live because it sounds like you have this made up/idealized version of the US and state you live in. Is your experience consistent with those of your Hampton friends? If you asked them there view of racism, what would they say?

Two separate issues.
The first (what I was talking about) has to do with the Supremacy clause where legal Federal laws trump state laws.

What you are talking about vis a vis the Sanctuary cities is the 10th amendment, where the Federal government can't do anything the Constitution doesn't particularly say they can. So. they can't "commandeer" state officials and tell what to do. Forcing state officials to use their law enforcement resources to turn over illegal immigrants would be just that.
I believe the Federal government can do a carrots and stick approach with legislation providing incentives or disincentives to turn over illegal immigrants. Giving public safety grants or taking them away.

If you haven't read the Constitution, check out the Bill of Rights. It's a good read.

You know you lied there, right? Because States do have regulatory authority over the Pharmacy business AND all forms of insurance. For your information, the Medicare Part D is run on CONTRACT by private insurance companies, which are subject to state law and regulation.

Did you even know that Medicare Part D is run by private insurance companies? When the Feds starting pushing for reduced costs, the insurance companies couldn't get price cuts from drug companies, so they targeted retail pharmacies using claw backs....retroactive take backs of profits incurred under existing rules.


Another thing insurance companies do is demand copies of prescriptions filled a year or 3 years ago, whenever. If a doctor writes a DATE wrong, mispells a drug or puts a wrong quantity and you used your experience to correct it and figure out the correct dose and such, they could declare a misfill and take back the profit.

Many States responded by forcing the insurance companies to stop or drastically reduce these practices.

Here's what you can do, right now - put "state cases against PBM's medicare Part d" into Google.

If you're going to engage in a discussion, PLEASE try and do some rudimentary thinking. Goodness. What do you mean by States have no jurisdiction? or whatever? Insurers are regulated by states, insurers run Medicare Part D on contract. Finish.

Government policy almost destroyed us, we only survived because we're in North Carolina where government has some respect for business due to preponderant Republican control of the State legislature.
