( I didn't know that I don't have to present actual flight ticket)

Thing is that I am going for a conference that is slated for 4th - 8th June, 2018.
I wanted to go with them, but since baby's passport will delay another 3-4weeks (they said materials have finished)
The earliest date I could even book is 30th of July. so as not to keep waiting, I booked appoint for me alone. (we will plan well ahead next time)

Now, i need to request expedited action. I have a letter from the conference organizers and will get a letter from my employer/sponsor.
what must i NOTE, as i make this request ?

Hi all, on my ds-160 form i filled my wife and baby's details as travel companions. but my baby's passport isn't ready, so i did not add their details when booking appointment (not traveling with them at this time). is there an issue with this ?
