lexy2014: Was he president of Niger delta or president of Nigeria?
Did Niger delta states not have governors, federal and State legislators and LG chairmen? Is Tinubu the president of the Niger Delta for constructing a 15km road in Rivers state? Is Buhari the president of the south west when he construct the Lagos Ibadan expressway? |

Irony1: When did Dangote refinery start full Operations? If he was scheduled to start in June, what was the time frame from commissioning to the maintenance date? You will have to ask Dangote this questions. What I know is that Dangote was planning to shut down his maintenance next month for maintenance but he changed his mind |

saysoo: Am not disputing about the build. Rivers, especially Eleme area has salt rain and those nonsense slots from oil production. Two seasons it will go bad. Build concrete road in the North, it will last. The ones he built in Ebonyi state are giving way already (concrete road). The concrete road you're talking about in Ebonyi, is the concrete road standard up to the oshodi papa or Lagos Calabar highway standard, then it will last beyond 50 years. The Oshodi Apapa expressway is still standing solid. |

Richtaiwo: Low/middle income earners indeed.
Pretty sure the houses have been shared among these "low/middle" income earners with each getting at least 20 units.
This announcement is just for the records against the future due to impermanence nature of power.
Abeg getat. The best option is for them to sell the property at the market price. If each building worth #100m, it should be sold at #100m. It will be so unfair if they sell it to their family and friends below the market price |
Politics › Re: BREAKING! Recovered 753-house Estate To Be Sold To Low/middle Income Earners by Ikaeniyan0: 8:27am On May 24, 2025 |
NaijaphiliaBlog: The Federal Government of Nigeria plans to sell a large estate recovered from Godwin Ifeanyi Emefiele, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, to low and middle-income citizens.
The property consists of 753 houses covering more than 150,000 square metres and was successfully retrieved by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in December 2024.
This is the largest single asset recovery ever achieved from the EFCC’s founding in 2003.
On Tuesday 20 May 2025, EFCC Chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede officially handed over the 753-house estate to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa.
While speaking with journalists, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Ministry of Housing, Badamasi Haiba, said the government will ensure ordinary citizens benefit from the sale, in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

thatigboman: completed? He said would be completed in December. Same Umahi that said that all federal roads would be completed in December 2024. And that's just a section in Rivers State. East-West Road goes from Akwa Ibom to Benin. Warri-Benin, which is part of East-West Road is a no-go area. Where do you expect the FG to get the money to fix all the federal road in just 2 years? Warri-Benin is also under construction. |

saysoo: That road has been fixed by all government in power ,after 1/2 raining seasons due to traffic and topology, it goes bad. What about the other sections like Ogoni to Akwaibom? Ughelli to Patani. Ahoada to Mbiama. These were all fixed but due to soil type, raining seasons and flooding, the roads goes bad. People make una leave politics. Federal road are terrible. Visit the North. Ekpoma to Auchi. Aviele to Benin. Ikom to Ogoja. Wukari to gboko. Abegi na Rivers votes be all these gra gra for 2027. The way the road is built, it will last for at least 50 years. Go and see the road by yourself, it's constructed with concrete and, the concrete is very thick. The road level is also raised above flood level, the drainages are massive too. |

Agriculture › Re: Nigeria Produces Rice, But Still Imports It? What’s Really going on? by Ikaeniyan0: 5:00pm On May 23, 2025 |
TalkTori: Nigeria will grow 5.6 million metric Tonnes of rice this year. So why are we still importing over 2.3 million Tonnes from countries like India? Our silos are full, yet our ports stay busy with foreign rice.
Is this poor planning, corruption, or something deeper? Despite Africa’s rich soil and hard-working farmers, over 330 million people on the continent face food insecurity. Nigeria’s case shows us why.
While local farmers in Kebbi State struggle to sell their paddy rice, foreign brands flood Lagos markets. Even with rising production, outdated infrastructure, poor storage, and export-focused policies leave our people hungry.
Meanwhile, Africa holds 60% of the world’s unused arable land. So, the problem is not land, is it leadership, logistics, and priorities?
Let’s hear from you: Which rice do YOU eat most at home? A) Local Nigerian rice B) Foreign/Imported rice C) I don’t really notice Tell us why in the comments.
Also: • Should the government ban rice imports completely? • Or focus more on processing and marketing local produce? We're not producing enough rice. So we've to import to cover the shortfall |

DeJoeee: Nigeria is geographically divided into North, West and East. The Army, customs and other FG agencies operates with the Eastern, Northern and Western corridors in their tactical operations, The Nigerian economic zones are divided into Western, Eastern and Northern corridors. All SE/SS states except Edo state fall within the Eastern corridor I am not interested in your petty politics but stop exposing your ignorance on a public forum The eastern, northern and western corridor you're talking about is only possible because of the white men. Even Igbo land was not united before the arrival of the white men. |

mrrandomguy: And is working indirectly for him at the moment. 1. He was part of the media campaign against Jonathan/PDP using his Sahara reporters with precision.
2. If you observe him closely, he has been extremely vocal of PDP political products such as Saraki and Peter Obi, the messiah of Anambra.
3. He now plays an anti-establishment script of pro-poor, pro-masses. Tinubu, Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso are all part of the establishment. They have nothing to offer Nigerians.
Sowere's political opposition/activism is like the ranting of an ant. It will get the attention of people who are tired of the establishment, but it is not loud enough to destroy the establishment. I doubt there's any politician Sowore has not attacked In the past, but because he attacked the Agulu fraud, una no wan rest |

ubest1: Why do Nigerian Mechanic's, electrician always writer-off other car make/brands. Some months ago I wanted to buy a Nissan Teana, called many mechanic, electrical people etc almost 95% was against me buying the Nissan with different negative opinions about Nissan cars.
After my personal research and Investigation concerning the reliability of the car I followed my mine and end up buying the car, I have driven & owned different brand of cars including Toyota's before, I can tell you the Nissan Teana presently outclass them and since then no issue with parts availability everywhere.
Here is where my question why do many Nigerian especially mechanics condemn car makes and brands many haven't driven or experienced before concluding? Just make sure you're maintaining it well so you will enjoy it. By the time you start using it for like 2-3 years and above, you will understand why they told you to get a Toyota. Toyota is very rugged, reliable and the parts can be easily gotten anywhere. A Toyota Camry 2002 a bro of mine bought in 2009, the car still dey one of his compound and is still functioning well. |
