Politics › Re: Where Is Femi Gbajamiala; Chief Of Staff! by Ikaeniyan0: 10:26am On May 11, 2025 |
Citizen10: The office of the Chief of staff is a very important one as it is very crucial to the operations and running pf the federal administration. It is the seat of correspondence and cornerstone of power moves in any federal or state administration.
We have witnessed many Chief of staffs on the time past many of which have been very active. An example is the late chief Abba Kyati of the Buhari led administration who was always on his toes and didn't leave any stone unturned. Not in Nigeria but all over the world, Chiefs of staff are very pertinent to the presidential office. They're in charge of the appointment of personnels that work to ensure the smooth running of the administration and also cover the security details of principal officers of the government, amongst other highly placed functions.
It is no news that Femi Gbajamiala was appointed CoS by the incumbent president himself in person of Bola Ahmed Tibubu,GCFR to oversee the running of the central administration. A very smart and articulate man to the core! But it seems Femi Gbajamiala is no where to be found. In fact the last time Nigerians heard anything about him was last year Feb 2024 when he was reported to have had a closed door meeting with some of the principal officers in the government over the then looming strike on subsidy removal. That's over a year ago.
The disappearance of Femi Gbajamiala in the politics and internal affairs of the administration poses two very pertinent questions: 1) He is being checked by superior forces and forced to work quietly for fear that he might ursurp power? It's no longer news that Seyi Tinubu has overtaken the running of "his father's government". Could Seyi Tinubu's activities be brewing problems for him?
2) Does he just prefer to do it quietly unlike the others who have held that office before him?
In all this, Nigerians have began asking questions. And everyone seems to want answers to the same question.
So I ask again: Where is Femi Gbajamiala? This is a chidish and unnecessary question. You're not asking where the local government chairman you voted for is doing You left the lawmakers and governors you voted, you're asking where Tinubu personal assistant is, do you want to kidnap him? |
Politics › Re: Abati Tackles Rufai Over Nigeria's Repayment Of IMF Loan(video) by Ikaeniyan0: 10:17am On May 11, 2025 |
Ready2speak: How does one claim he has paid a loan off when interests are outstanding?
Common folks, you guys should know better. The case of Innoson and GTB is a recent one we all should reference. Innoson paid the principal and over paid the accrued interests. Gtb was still claiming he was owing. When auditors came into the picture, it was then discovered the Bank has criminally collected much more they are supposed to be paid. That was when trouble started. Gtb wanted to return the overplus but Innoson insisted it must be with same interest rate they were paying the Bank.
Paying principal without paying interest does not mean one is not owing. Until both principal and interest is paid, then is the loan fully paid.
So whoever rushed to press to misinform the public is the enemy. We've paid of the main loan we borrowed. There are countries like Ghana who are struggling to pay their loans. |
Education › Re: Eleven Biggest University In Nigeria By Land Mass by Ikaeniyan0: 9:01am On May 11, 2025 |
Great100000: Nigeria has 274 universities as of 2024. Nigeria is recognised as the most populous country in Africa, both in terms of population and landmass. But this is not all that the nation is known for. This country’s workforce and plenty of natural resources allow it to maintain its educational and other competitive edge. As a result, more schools across the country will have the financial capacity.
In addition to having stunning grounds, these universities offer a wide range of educational programs on their expansive campuses. Finding out how big these colleges are can give you important information about Nigeria’s academic infrastructure and growth prospects, whether you’re a prospective student or just interested in the country’s educational system.
In Nigeria, size is important when it comes to higher education. Scattered campuses with a wealth of resources and facilities are available to students at Nigeria’s largest university by land mass. These universities are distinguished not only by their geographical locations but also by the courses they provide and the number of students they enroll.
According to Schoolings and data from the schools’ websites, here is the list of the top 10 biggest university in nigeria by land mass:
1. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) – 15,000 hectares
The University of Ilorin is at the top of this list of Nigerian universities with the largest acreage. With 15,000 hectares of land, it is Nigeria’s largest university. The University of Ilorin is situated in latitude 8.4799° N and longitude 4.5418° E in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.
It is roughly 300 kilometers from Lagos, the country’s economic center, and 500 kilometers from Abuja. One of the first universities in sub-Saharan Africa to offer academic programs continuously for more than 16 years is the University of Ilorin.
2. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)- 13,000 hectares
The federal government owns this institution. OAU is situated in Ile-Ife, the Yorubaland region’s historic hub.
The university’s founding ceremony took place in 1961. In October 1962, the first classes were conducted. Under the direction of the late Samuel Ladoke Akintola, the Western Nigerian regional government oversaw this establishment at the time, which was known as the University of Ife.
The university was renamed Obafemi Awolowo University on May 2, 1987, and it has remained that way to this day. The school bears the name of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, who worked hard to develop this area and was the first premier of the Western Region of Nigeria.
3. University of Abuja (UNIABUJA)- 11,824 hectares
The institution has a permanent location of around 11,824 hectares along the Kaduna-Lokoja-Abuja Road, as well as a mini campus in Gwagwalada, Abuja, Nigeria.
The University of Abuja began operations in a temporary location known as the “mini-campus,” which consisted of three blocks of buildings intended for a primary school in Gwagwalada.
The mini-campus began to host academic activities in 1990. An area of more than 11,800 hectares along the Abuja Airport road was given to the college in the same year so that its major campus could be developed.
4. Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) – 10,650 hectares
Located in Minna, Niger State, the Federal University of Technology, Minna is a leading institution for science and technology education.
5. Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) – 10,000 hectares

6. Ahmadu Bello University(ABU) – 7,000 hectares

7. Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) – 4,048 hectares

8. University of Benin (UNIBEN) – 1748 hectares
This institution’s geography roughly resembles that of FUTO, and it possesses a vast amount of farmlandthat some local chieftains are battling in court to seize. The school is located in Edo State. This school was established in 1970 and is owned by the federal government.
9.University of Ibadan (UI) – 1,032hectares
The University of Ibadan (UI), founded in 1948, is the oldest university in Nigeria. In 1962, it gained independence from its original affiliation with the University of London as University College Ibadan. With 1,032 hectares of land, this university qualified for our ranking of the top 10 largest universities in Nigeria by landmass. 10. The American University of Nigeria (AUN)- 2,500 acres
For the private sector, AUN is at the top of our ranking. This is a special institution. In all of Sub-Saharan Africa, it is the first of its sort. As a student, you get to enjoy amazing buildings, surroundings, facilities, and personnel because it is designed to be an American school in every sense of the word.
Due to its success in acquiring more than 2,500 acres of land, AUN was included in our ranking of the Top 10 biggest university in nigeria by land mass.
11. Redeemers University Nigeria – 2,010acres
This organization has Christian roots. Established and run Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), this institute was also established. It has been taking use of its position as one of the nation’s best private institutions. It was been recognized among 15 of Africa’s most prominent universities.

Burob: where did I mention anything about buy?
The land was leased to them, after the lease expired @ anytime after 1978, it reverts back to the Governor of the state who is the custodian of all land within his jurisdiction as prescribed by the provisions of the land use act 1978. Land belongs to the state does not mean it does not belong to the land owners(Itsekiris). Itsekiris(land owners) are asking Urohobos(tenants) to pay their rent in itsekiri land. |

Burob: Guy ignorance is never an excuse in law, we are talking about land transaction of 1928, the family has collected their money, even used it to send their children your great grandfathers to England to study.
Go & read sections 34, 35 & 36 of the land use act to clear your ignorance. Where in the article is it stated that the Urohobos(tenants) buy the land from the owners(Itsekiris)? The itsekiris rent out the land to them. The Urohobos(tenants) should start paying the rent they are owing to the landowners(itsekiris). |
Politics › Re: Itshekiri Gives Urhobo 30-days To Pay Accumulated Land Rent by Ikaeniyan0: 2:26pm On May 10, 2025 |
Burob: belongs to who? make u bring the governo’r’s consent that says you are the holder of the right of occupancy.
If u don’t know, the land use act was enacted because of scenarios like this, when some old traditional bush people will be claiming land purportedly belonging of their forefathers.
Once the lease tenure has expired @ anytime after 1978, the reversion goes to the governor of the state that is recorded in section 202 laws of the federation of Nigeria. Bro, is there any where in Nigeria you will buy a land and won't pay to the family that owns the land? So If you want to buy a land in Ikorodu, Lekki or Epe now, you will claim you've settled the government and so you have no business with the family who owns the land? Having government consent without settling the owners of the land does not mean you own the land. You won't be allowed to lay a foundation or do anything on the land till you settle the land owners. Even if you go to court, you will lose. |
