Few years back after graduation and job not forthcoming, tho i was doing some menial jobs to cater for my basic needs and on d long run i was able to save only 50k and then i started browsing d Internet to know what i can do with my 50k so palm oil business really caught my attention and i decided to give it a trial as at then oil was 4k from d farm so with my 5k I started with 8-10 kegs of palm oil. Within few months into the business i was already having demands above my initial 10 kegs due to my aggressive marketing within my neighborhood and beyond but no where to get more funds to buy more kegs of oil on a weekly basis so i decided to look for investors here on nairaland, many people contacted and fortunately a lady invested little amount of money after we hv signed the MOU wit my lawyer i was so happy that my supplying power will jump from 10 kegs to 20 because i already hv d market but reverse was the case as an idea came from a colleague in d oil business that we should try our hands on plantain supply, we did some research at idi oro mkt and all was set as the profit margin was far far better than palm oil and it's a one off business just supply and make ur money instantly. So we decided to put our resources together to buy full load of plantain, we left lagos for idanre ondo state at about 12am to arrive at the market 5am we bought plantain and brought them to idi oro lagos to sell off but unfortunately we can't even explain how those OLO OBE sell them and we sold at a total loss loosing 70% of my capital and the remaining 30% got stuck with my colleague because i trusted him with the money but unfortunately he disappointed me and that was how i lost both my personal capital and the one my investor just paid without even trading with her investment at all.

Where do i start from again? i need to pay my house rent, eat, pay my bills and as well pay ROI to my investor ooooops the biggest fear and threat of my life sets in, i took another bold step to apply for a loan at a microfinance bank within 2 weeks the loan was disbursed this was supposed to give me a relief but on the long run it adds to my pains as i have to pay back the loan every month and as well pay my investor her ROI, the border was just too much hardly can i feed myself but i keep balancing the situation until few months later when i lost my dear mother i had to travel down to our village for the burial and everything and i spent one whole month at this time all business was pending i came back took money from the little capital to pay bank and ROI which now reduces my running capital again i was not too border so quickly i decided to order for oil from one of woman like that she has since disappears from Nairaland. My aim was to quickly buy and cover up for the lost month because i was still mourning my mum and i don't want to travel but believe me all the oil she sent to me was very bad smelling like a pit nobody can even buy them from me, another total loss with bank loan 3 months left and my investors ROI still over six months left of which she Wil also calls from her capital at the expiration of our contract. I went straight to my shelve bring out my certificate and resume job hunting with God on my side i got a job with a poor salary within 2 months of my search i thank God i got the job at that point because it was the job that helps me to pay up my bank loan and paid up to 80% of my investors ROI and her capital.

So I decided to work for more months then i resigned with few capital to start up all over again because i sure knows what palm oil business can bring to the table if properly managed compared to my salary job. All in all i thank God for everything.

I second the first comment. It's your house... Give them a month's notice, that you want to travel. On the said day, pack what you'll need for a month and go somewhere for sometime. You need to take back your authority in the house. When you return from your (supposed) journey, lay ground rules as they begin to show up and show no weakness in staying by those rules.

Good day everybody. pls advice me on what to do pls.
Am married with 4 kids and my husband is late, we are living in our own house in lokoja. my sisters and brothers use to visit me. but recently am no more comfortable with them because of their attitude towards me and my kids.
Those of my sisters are married they are two in number, for years now they are staying in my house. they will visit their husband and still come back to my house. At first i did not take it as anything but recently am no more enjoying the visit. i don't have privacy in my house again because they enter my room anytime they want with their children, if i tell them what to cook before i come back they have cook another thing, they driver all the cars in the house but what annoys me most is they will still come and carry my own personal car after all my warning. if i talk they will say is it because am rich, that i should stop insulting them. i pay all the bills in the house i never ask them to contribute both in feedings.
Pls i need good advice on how to handle this issue, am no more comfortable with them living with me, they have stay for years now with my family, have called their husband several times to come and carry their families they will promise to come after one week or some days but at last they will never show up. Am tired of them pls what will i do.

Your 2st mistake is not letting us know the city you did this. If na lagos go to the regional headquaters at oshodi. Those guys r quite professional and they wont expliot you. I dont believecan export license will be higher than an import license. I was into industrail chemical importation though.

I created a website where I promise to double the income of participants by 30%. The first participant joins with N20k. I need him to be convinced that my website pays So I use my own money to make up for the 30% and he goes home happy. I tell him he gets extra bonuses if he brings a friend and he does exactly that. Two of his friends sign up with N20k each and I return their investment with my own money and give my first client a special bonus for bringing them.

His friends are aware their colleague got a bonus for bringing them in. They get greedy, they bring more people. At this point, everyone wants bonuses as my system is verified and working.

More people join in, so I'm not using my money to pay them anymore, I'm using their money to pay them and waiting for more members to join so there'll always be money in the system. I see a huge investment of N1m from a greedy participant, I run the website with money and I've spent my own money to build the trust in the system so I pair the provider of N1m with myself. Then get about 30 people providing N50k to pay him back in 30 days, he has N1.3m. My system is working, he tells his colleagues in his social class and they're all excited.

My first members who started with N20k have gotten greedy, they've created multiply accounts to cash out but I don't care. The big fishes are in the game. The big monies are being paired with me, I'm no longer providing money but I'm getting money. Whenever I see a large amount to be donated, I immediately pair the account to mine. Effortlessly a millionaire.

The system continues to thrive because new members keep coming in. There is a wild recession in the country, my scheme is the escape route. People have paid rents, school fees, bought cars and funded their ceremonies with my scheme. I am suddenly an employer of labour.

But all good things must come to an end, I have successfully built a network of participants running into millions but there is a serious cash deficit. It is almost Christmas and almost everyone needs 30% of their investment back. Because I've been collecting millions as an admin without donating, and because there are not enough new members to match the financial demands of the existing members, my system has collapsed but I am not done getting my millions from gullible people.

I announce a freeze on the website for technical reasons. I've done a lot for them so they believe me that I'm just protecting the system from crash even when it was not the wise thing to believe.
I told them they couldn't receive money this period but they could still donate.

The one month freeze was an attempt to see if I could pay the existing members from the donations of new members. Sadly, some people had lost faith in the system, the new and existing members were afraid to make donations during the freeze because they were unsure of getting their 30% returns back. Plus there were a lot of evil people on social media spreading propaganda that my scheme was a Ponzi that had ended.

I needed that trust back, so I relaunched my website a day before the scheduled return. You needed to see the excitement. It was Christmas on January 13, I told existing people that had provided donations that they could now get help. I also added some attractive incentives for new members. I still faced the same problem that made me shut down temporarily, even worse.

The people that provided help during the shut down all requested help, plus there had already been a long list of people before then. So I decided to pair those that needed less than N30k first to check the rotation of money. Still there was not enough money to go round. The people that were paired to pay others refused to pay, the trust was gone. People had suddenly realised that it was not possible for 30% to be added to your money unless someone lost their own money.
Several other schemes took over my place when I was frozen. All will eventually meet their ends. Greed always comes to an end.

People still live in delusions of grandeur that I have not crashed. Perhaps they expect me to put a memo in my website that it is over. Lol. I really don't blame their naivety, I did do a lot for them to trust me.
I would advise that people make more intelligent financial decisions next time. People lost millions to me because of greed. Do I feel guilty? No. I did warn them to[truncated by WhatsApp]
