... Says the Legal Icon left at Time Nigeria’s Constitutional Democracy Mostly Needed His Patriotic Inputs.

Governor Aminu B. Tambuwal has commiserated with the government and people of Rivers state on the demise of the state’s attorney general- Mr E. C. Ajuma (SAN), describing it as a huge loss for the state in particular and the country in general.

The Sokoto State Governor who today ( September 15th , 2018), joined other notable Nigerians across political, social and economic divides at the Saint Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Port Harcourt for his solemn funeral service, later told reporters that the commissioner will be greatly missed.

The Peoples Democracy Party presidential aspirant stated that, “Emmanuel C. Aguma (SAN) will be missed especially now that our Constitutional Democracy is facing threat that centres on neglects of the dictates of the rule of law."

The former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives who is also a life bencher went on to add that this is a time our country wants more patriotic legal minds and the unfortunate demise of Mr Aguma will leave a very big gap that will take a while to fill.

"At a time like this in the life of our country, we want more of legal luminaries that will see upholding of the dictates of the rule of law as a patriotic effort towards strengthening of our Constitutional Democracy,” he said.

"I pray that God will give the family, Rivers State and our country the fortitude to bear the loss of this great icon,” he concluded.
Governor Tambuwal was accompanied to the burial ceremony with leading members of the Sokoto State executive council, officials of the PDP in the state and other notable figures.

His Excellency Aminu Tambuwal , a front line Presidential aspirant in Peoples Democratic Party has called for a new direction that will help the Nation resolve her numerous problems which are mostly centred on Leadership.

According to him , "We are almost sliding into another recession , the economy is not working and they have inculcated borrowing as the only way out " he said .

The Sokoto born Lawyer and former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives went on to state that Nigeria requires new type of leadership to be able to reverse the trend . Hear him :
" All we require to reverse this trend is a leadership that listens and is able to bring the best team together, irrespective of tribe , religion or gender " . He said .

The Sokoto State Governor who many see as an ideal President in time like this especially now that our country is so divided ,will continue with his consultations with delegates across the country towards picking PDP Presidential ticket for 2019 election.

#State of the Nation : ... Muhammadu Buhari with Abubakar Bukola Saraki ...

Buhari: Don't mind those EFCC people. I always knew you were innocent.

Saraki: I've heard. Can you now leave my hand so I can start going.

Buhari : I was wrongly advised by Eemmm the Chief of Staff to go against you .

Saraki : I have been telling you that they are dragging you down but you won't listen .

Buhari : I am confuse .

Saraki : Confused ? It seems you don't understand that you are a President and responsible for the Nigeria development and other needs .Today , the economy of our Nation is down . Our security is now worst in the entire Africa and probably in the world .

Buhari : what they usually tell me is that everything is going on well .

Saraki : Then you need to bypass them to know the reality ! You are losing it !
Some of us have been telling you , but you don't want to hear !
Now look at the entire security !

Buhari : Hmmmmmm

Saraki : Do you know that instead of creating jobs , that 11million Nigerians lost their jobs according to National Bureau of statistics ? And if NBS that is govt institution says 11million , then we may have lost over 40million jobs under you !

Buhari : That is serious ooo !

Saraki : stop sounding as if you are in opposition Mr President ! The issue is more than serious sir .

Buhari : But Elrufai usually tells me Thay those that are complaining are corrupt people even Magu said that .

Saraki : If they told you that , then they are the people dragging your govt and the entire Country down !

Buhari : Magu can't lie .

Saraki : Did you see corruption report about the same Magu by DSS under your leadership ?

Buhari : hmmmmm

Saraki : This is not about "hmmmm" . Hope you are aware of Brooking Institute report about Nigeria as now the country with the highest number of poor people in the world ?

Buhari : What is the Brooking Institute ?

Saraki : They are US based Global Research organization . The outcome of their latest research , sow that Nigeria has over 80million people on extreme poverty bracket and that should get everyone scare !

Buhari : walahi , I don't know what to do . People hail me anywhere I go and I believe all is well !

Saraki : Some of them that usually hail you are arranged by your aides .

Buhari : Hmmmm ?

Saraki : ooh yes !

Buhari : I don't believe you .

Saraki : I am not pleading for you to believe me Mr President , am just telling you the obvious !
Let me ask you :

Are you aware that Nigeria has lost her place as the no1 Investment Destination in Africa under your leadership ?
Are you aware that report of Brooking Institute shows that average of six persons becomes very poor in Nigeria every one minute ?

Are you aware that we are now having more new IDP camps in Nigeria than new industries under you ?

Are aware that Nigerians are now divided under your leadership more than ever in Nigeria history ?

Are you are aware that more Nigerians now commits suicide under your leadership ?

Are you aware that you picked our exchange rate at #175 to $1 ,but now it is #360 to $1 ?

Are you also aware that average Nigerian that used to buy a bag of rice for #7000 before your govt now get same bag at #15,000 ?

Are you aware that over 300 industries closed under your reign according to Manufacturer Association of Nigeria ?

Are you aware that a liter of petroleum was sold at #85 before you assumed office and it is now #145 ?

Should I continue ?

Buhari : Kai ! Walahi , I don't know all these ?

Saraki : How would you know when you have such inept team around you that only gives you names of those they will arrest for their selfish interest .

Buhari : what do I do now ?

Saraki : You are not serious , let them continue to paint everyone black in media as the only suggestion to you .

Buhari ! But wait ...

Saraki : wait for what again ? Ieave my hand let me go and face other issues .

Business / Nnewi Industrial Cluster to Get Steady&Business Friendly Power Supply- Azubogu by IkayMOVE(m): 12:04am On Jul 05, 2018
"We are working to power Nnewi Industrial Cluster with steady and business friendly power supply " - Hon Chris Azubogu

... Received report of REA study on Nnewi Industrial/Economic Cluster

The member representing Nnewi North / South /Ekwusigo Fed Constituency Hon Chris Emeka Azubogu has stated that he is working hard with other key stakeholders to save the only surviving indigenous Industrial Cluster in Nigeria .

According to The Authority Newspapers Legislator of the year 2017 awardee who received report of REA on Nnewi Economic Cluster last week ,
" We are working to power Nnewi Industrial Cluster with steady and business friendly power supply, that will not only keep them in the business ,but will help to expand their businesses and grow our economy " he said

It on record that ,in his quest to power Nnewi Industrial Cluster, the Anambra born Federal Lawmaker, attracted the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) to the Economic/ Industrial Cluster that is housing Nigerian's only Made in Nigeria Vehicles manufacturing plant , Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) Company and several other businesses .

Hon Azubogu's unrelenting quest made REA to send study teams that researched on viability of REA intervention in Nigeria's most neglected Industrial Cluster . The outcome of the study was a win win for all the stakeholders involved .

According to him ,

" We are also working hard to ensure that the National Gas Master Plan is connected to this ever important Industrial Cluster and it has already been approved , while we are following it up "

The point is that the failure of this Nigeria's only remaining indigenous Industrial Cluster will send a wrong signal to business communities within and outside our country and her success will encourage both more investment from within and outside " he said .

Azubogu later added that Domestic Investors has suffered so much in Nigeria and the time has come for government and all stakeholders to pay attention to them.

The University of Nigeria , Nsukka trained Engineer went on to add that the ,

" Government has been in the habit of neglecting Indigenous investors , While we always give incentives to foreign investors , our domestic investors suffers. "

But funny enough , one of the easiest way to attract FDI is to use Direct Domestic Investment (DDI) channels and you can't achieve result on this angle without providing policy incentives for DDI to thrive " he said .

" I therefore call on all stakeholders especially our government at all levels to refocus on saving our Domestic Investment while working to attract Foreign investors .

I see energized Industrial / Commercial economy coming with capacity to absorb our employment crisis " Azubogu concludes .

The man many call "Mr Project" has been so focused on how to advance the economy of his Constituency .

Politics / Senator Abaribe In Court Today : by IkayMOVE(m): 9:52pm On Jun 26, 2018
Senator Abaribe in Court today :

Counsel to Abaribe :
My lordship my client was arrested DSS and had been held incommunicado till today .

Justice Nyako : I did not make any order for his arrest .

Counsel : He was arrested days ago and brought to this court from DSS custody .

Justice Nyako :
You should know what to do if the man was arrested without court directive .

Counsel : My Lord the content of the search warrant that they brought to his (Sen Abaribe) house for search relates to this matter ( Nnamdi Kanu ) of which is under your court .

Justice Nyako : DSS is not an extension of this court . I did not make any order for the arrest of the surety and I don't also know why he was arrested. Those that did so should know why they did as such .

Counsel : My Lord , my client was to be in court today only for the agents of the state to arrest him and kept him incommunicado for days . My Lord we are talking about a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Justice Nyako : You know what to do in a situation like this !

Counsel : Even where he has been incommunicado my Lord ?.

Justice Nyako : Who brought Sen Abaribe to Court ?

DSS Personnel : We did my Lord .

Justice Nyako : Allow him access to his counsel .
For whatever reasons you arrested him , please allow him access to a lawyer of his choice .

DSS Personnel : Okay My Lord .

..........................................

Outside the courtroom :

As Senator Abaribe stepped out of the Courtroom , there were over 50 journalists with various cameras waiting for him to address them .

How Trouble started :
The moment reporters rushed to interview Senator Abaribe, DSS personnel insisted that he must not talk .

The Crowd of Journalists started shouting : allow him to address the press !!

It is his right !!!

He must talk to us !!!

You can't stop him from talking to the press !!! Etc .

Then , crowd erupted into singing " Freedom Come ooo by Struggle ooo, Freedom Come , by Struggle by Struggle , freedom Come ...!!

As tension was building up , DSS men smuggled Senator Abaribe back to the Court to allow tension die down.

One thing here , is that he was not in Court as a result of an arraignment for any fresh allegation or case but was in Court based on the ongoing matter previously postponed to this date by Justice Nyako on a pending case involving Nnamdi Kanu .He was to come to Court from his house and not from any custody !

The question then becomes ....why the deliberate arrest and harassment of a Senator for obviously no reasons whatsoever

...........................

Me : It is now obvious that he was arrested not based on any court directives . We are losing it !
You pick a serving Senator like common criminal and kept him incommunicado because of his outspokenness .

I pity those clapping for this inept team that keep over heating the polity !

It is reported that DSS has released the Senator now .

Politics / The DSS Arrest Of Senetor Abaribe & Implications On Nigeria's Economy by IkayMOVE(m): 6:53pm On Jun 24, 2018
The DSS arrest of Senetor Abaribe & implications on Nigeria's Economy

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia .

As The great Democrat remain detained ! Yes , Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe is still with the DSS !

His arrest remain one of the lowest point of our Democracy !
The style of his arrest represents threat to our Stock market and our economy !

Arresting a serving senator instead of inviting him for questioning if any , shows that the handlers of Security Architecture our country are yet to understand the effects of their mode of arrest and utterances on our Political -Economy !

When you go after our Nation's serving senator like a common criminal , you send panic to our economy via her financial sector .

Shock is one of the major ingredients that clashes Nation's Stock market !
Investors need confidence and not panic !

A Senator is a member of our Country's higher law making body . He is not above the law , but when you chase a man you can easily invite to come for clarifications like a Common criminal , you create both economic and political panic for our country's financial sector and Democracy set up .

We need to sensitize our security agencies on impact of their actions and inactions on our Political -Economy !

Mr President , this type of moves do not help our polity ! You may think that they are helping your personal political interests , but one's personal Political interest can't survive when the that's of the entire Nation goes down !

The economy of the Nation is at stake !
Our Democracy is at stake !

It is not about PDP or APC !
It is not about Ndi Igbo , Hausa , Yoruba or any other tribe !
It is not about Buhari or Saraki!

Not about Senate or Executive !

It is about our Democracy and Political Economy !

The survival of the entire polity is at stake !

Let's begin to see bigger damages than politics !

Politics / Olisa Metuh : When Section 349 Of Administration Of Criminal Justice Act 2015 Me by IkayMOVE(m): 7:54pm On May 25, 2018
Olisa Metuh : When Section 349 of Administration Of Criminal Justice Act 2015 means nothing to Justice Abang ...

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia

Can a judge continue proceedings in absence of the defendant's lawyer in a criminal matter without offending Section 349 (1)a,b,(2)(3) of Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 ?

It is no more secret that Counsel to Olisa Metuh who is still on a sick bed at National Hospital Abuja , did not appeal on Thursday and Friday proceedings of the Court .

But , the law in Section 349 of Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 , stated what the Court should do in a case where a defendant lawyer did not appear in the Court which centred on reaching out to the defendant for the purpose of allowing him get another legal practitioner by himself or legal aid inline with the above cited Act .

It is of note that Justice Abang refused to submit to the above cited section regards the absence of the legal representation of the defendant .

Let's look at the what the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 said :

Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 :

Section ( 349) (1) where a defendant charged before the court is not represented by a legal practitioner , the court shall :

(a) inform him of his rights to a legal practitioner of his choice ; and

(b) enquire for him, whether he wish to engage his own legal practitioner , or a legal practitioner engage for him by way of legal aid .

(2) where the legal practitioner who had appeared on behalf of the defendant cease to appear in court in two consecutive sessions of the court , the court shall enquire from the defendant if he wishes to engage on his own another legal practitioner or a legal practitioner engaged for him by way of legal aid .

(3) Where the defendant wishes to engage another legal practitioner of his choice, the court shall allow him reasonable time but not exceeding 30 days to do so .

.................................

Despite the provisions sections 349(2) &(3) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act , Justice Abang today unilaterally closed the defence of Olisa Metuh and foreclosed him from offering any more defence in his matter .

The point is that the issue is not really about Olisa Metuh as a person , but what seems to a deliberate effort to undermined the system .

Politics / Olisa Metuh Case : Now That Justice Okon Abang Has Overruled All The Medical Rep by IkayMOVE(m): 10:31am On May 25, 2018
Olisa Metuh Case : Now that Justice Okon Abang has overruled all the medical reports , is he now a Medical Doctor ?

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia

Justice Abang who his court has received over 4 different medical opinions both documented and oral, authenticating that Olisa Metuh is sick and needs medical attention abroad , but chose to make this statement :

“I am wondering, with every sense of responsibility if the 1st defendant (Metuh) is really ill to warrant him being brought to court on a stretcher.

“I have my doubt if the 1st defendant is actually sick”.
- Justice Okon Abang
(20th, April 2018 )

When has doctors stripped the power to ascertain one's health conditions and handed same to a Judge without any medical training for such ?

Now look at these :

(1) University of Nigeria ,Teaching Hospital (UNTH) says that Olisa Metuh is sick and needs urgent medical attention abroad.

(2) Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital ( NAUTH) says he is sick and needs medical attention beyond the hospital .

(3) National Hospital Abuja , medical report shows that Olisa Metuh is sick and needs urgent medical attention .
In the case of National Hospital , their record shows that Olisa Metuh has over ten(10) files at the Hospital on this particular medical issue .This shows that his spinal related case did not start today and neither was it due to his ongoing matter at court as some erroneously believe .

(4) Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) medical report on Olisa Metuh stated that he is sick and needed Medical attention abroad.

(5) Medical Doctor attached to Federal High Court ,Abuja reported that from her checks , that the patient needs urgent medical care .

(6) Note : all the above mentioned hospitals are highly respected Federal Medical Establishments !

(7) Can all these Hospitals and Doctors be wrong ?

Is Justice Okon Abang a Doctor ?

(cool Justice Okon Abang once earlier this year , stated that his court will not entertain any other medical report from any hospital in Nigeria on Olisa Metuh's health .

(9) on 23rd May ,2019 , the same Justice Okon Abang that pronounced that he will not entertain any medical report from any hospital in Nigeria on Olisa Metuh's health issue again .

But in a contradictory move, the same Justice Abang when Metuh's Counsel reminded him about his client's health development based on what happened on 22nd May , he overruled the Counsel on the premise that there was no medical report attached in regards to throwing more light on what transpired later after Chief Olisa Metuh who was moved from the Court to the National Hospital Abuja inside a Federal High Court Ambulance

(10) it is of note that we have cases of Courts granting defendant's request to travel for medical attention even without stress and even where that option us at the discretion of the court .

What is the problem that makes Chief Metuh's case so different and peculiar to the point of giving room to the present prevalent feelings of persecution now ?

Business / Court Declaration Of Me” Wanted” Is Simply To Embarrass My Personality- Innoson. by IkayMOVE(m): 7:29pm On May 24, 2018
Court declaration of me” Wanted” is simply To Embarrass My Personality- Innoson.

I have been briefed by my lawyers that Justice Mojisola Dada of Lagos State High Court Ikeja granted the oral plea of counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to declare me wanted because of my failure to appear before the court today. I have expressly stated before that I am not afraid of arraignment but must be arraigned through due process of the law.

It must be noted that I, through my legal counsel, challenged the jurisdiction of the Lagos State High Court to hear the forgery charge filed against me by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on ground of, inter alia, the charge being an abuse of process. I filed an application before the court that this present charge is an abuse of process because a similar charge on the same subject matter, transactions and issues is ongoing at the Federal High Court Lagos Division between the same parties, in charge no FHC/l/565c/2015. The last hearing of the charge at the Federal High Court was this week, May 22nd 2018.

Furthermore, my legal counsel had at the last court hearing on April 25th 2018 notified the court that I had challenged the Jurisdiction of the court to hear the suit at the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division and that the prosecuting counsels which are the EFCC has equally filed their brief at the Appellate Court. The judge subsequently adjourned the hearing to today, May 24th 2018.

At the court hearing today, my defense team, also, notified the judge that both parties have filed and exchanged their briefs at the Court of Appeal and a date has been fixed for hearing of the substantive appeal and prayed the Honourable Judge to defer to the Court of Appeal to decide the appeal which is on the jurisdiction of the court to hear the suit. Again, my legal team notified the trial court that I had appealed against the order of bench warrant of 9th February 2018 to the Court of Appeal and as well filed a motion for stay of execution of the order of bench warrant.

However, the judge failed to grant the prayers of my legal counsel and quickly granted the plea of the prosecuting counsel to declare me wanted without recourse to due process of the law or listen to the submissions of my counsel on why an order declaring me wanted should not be made.

Declaring me wanted was done in bad faith and is simply to embarrass my personality, defame me and malign my character aimed to distract me from my daily activities in ensuring that Innoson Vehicles continues to produce durable made in Nigeria vehicles.

Recall also that the same Judge had issued a bench warrant against me, while I had challenged the jurisdiction of her court to hear the suit and I also wrote a petition to the National Judicial Council to investigate the circumstance leading to issuing a bench warrant against me and ordering my arrest. In the course of this case, I had filed a motion that the judge recuse or disqualify herself from further conduct of the proceedings which she failed to hear and insisted I must be brought to court against laid down judicial authorities.

Finally I want to expressly state that I am not afraid of arraignment but must be arraigned through the due process of the law. Meanwhile, I have also appealed against the order declaring me wanted and as well filed a motion for the stay of its execution.

Politics / Olisa Metuh In Justice Abang Court : Details Of All That Happened At Federal Hig by IkayMOVE(m): 12:05pm On May 22, 2018
Olisa Metuh in Justice Abang Court : Details of all that happened at Federal High Court Abuja , yesterday (21st May , 2018 )

*(1)The matter commenced with the judge sited and the case file called up by the court registrar , the Witness upon called started making his way to the dock making use of his four legged walking aid and the Judge intervened by ordering that the defendant be told to go back .*

*(2)* As he tries to manoeuvre his way back, his personal aide who unknown to him was moving to call his attention ended up getting entangled with his walking aide and then the result was a fall ....a disastrous one at that with a dull thud as his head meets the rug covering the floor of the court room and momentary black out.

*(3)A gasp went through the court room and people moved to assist in one way or the other .*

*(4)* The court immediately called for a twenty minutes recess to enable *Chief Metuh* have medical attention.

*(5) The court registrar at once rushed out to get the medical doctor attached to the high court to assess the defendant .*

*(6)* While this medical check up was still ongoing with the *Chief Olisa Metuh* lying prostrate on the floor of the court ,the judge came back and called for the matter to resume .

*(7) Judge summoned Court registrar to explain what happened , even though the judge was in the court when it happened .They explained to him how Olisa Metuh got to fall .*

*(cool* The defendant counsel *Emeka Etiaba (SAN)* moved to draw the attention of the judge to the state of his defendant *Olisa Metuh* .

*(9) This was refused by the judge who insisted that matter must continue .He order that the defendant witness should mount the witness box .*

*(10)* The defendant Counsel *Emeka Etiaba (SAN )*, reminded the judge that their witness is already in the Court ,but that he need to draw the attention of the Court to the situation regards his client .

*(11) The Judge rejected Emeka Etiaba appeal and insisted that the witness should step up and mount the box .*

*(12)* The witness moved to witness box .

*(13) Emeka Etiaba requested that the doctor give the court a prognosis of what she has seen so far so as to know the state of his client.*

*(14)* This was refused by the judge who insisted that matter must continue .

*(15 ) Emeka Etiaba (SAN) then informed the Judge that he is withdrawing his services from his client and from the matter with reasons that...( The judge interrupted him ).*

*(16)* The Judge told him that he Dont want to hear his reasons for withdrawing from the matter and that he is not ready to record whatever reasons he might have .

(17) Emeka Etiaba went on to say :
*"Allow Me to tell the Court why am withdrawing even when you don't want to record my reasons .*

Because , as I speak to this court , my client is lying obviously on the floor of the court while medical personnel of this very court are attending to him .

*I can not continue to defend a client that is lying down inside this court who I can't even say if he is still alive . "*

*-Emeka Etiaba (SAN)*

*(18) The Judge overruled Emeka Etiaba (SAN) and rejected his withdrawal from the case .*

*(19)* Then, a woman was moving towards the Judge from the back of the court .

*" Who are you ? Tell me your name " the Judge said .*

The woman replied : "I am Doctor ... of Federal High Court "

*What can I do for you ? The judge asked .*

Doctor : The man need urgent medical attention from my examination sir .

*The doctor requested that the defendant be allowed to be attended to using proper medical facilities...*

*(20)* The Judge asked prosecution counsel his opinion regards Doctor 's suggestion for medical attention by the defendant .

*(21) The prosecution counsel didn't object to the request for medical attention .In fact , the prosecution Counsel said that he Dont have objection to that .*

*(22)* The judge turned to defendant Counsel *Emeka Etiaba* and ask him his opinion on what the position of the Doctor .

*(23) Emeka Etiaba reminded the judge that he has withdrew from the matter with reasons and ... ( the judge interrupted him ,saying that he is not ready to hear his reasons and Dont also accept his withdraw from the matter ) .*

*(24)* The Judge turned to first defendant Counsel Chief Onwubufo (SAN) and ask him his opinion or if he has objection to position of the Doctor .

*(25 ) Chief Onwubufo (SAN) then told the judge that even without waiting for the report of the Doctor ,that based on what happened here in this court that we should consider the health of the defendant more ...( he was interrupted by the Judge who went on to told the old man to respect his age in the bar ). " Are you in support or not ?" The judge thundered .*

*(26)* The Judge then adjoined the matter to 22nd of May ( today) for the defendant to seek medical attention .

*(27) Then the judge did something that was a novelty within the circles of journalists that do court rounds. He embarked on anger fit infested diatribe against the prosecution counsel denigrating him for not objecting to the plea of the defence counsel to be allowed medical treatment.*

*(28)* He lamented the fact that the prosecution lawyer did not refuse the plea so that he can stand on that and insist that the matter continue ....

*(29) He went on to threaten that if he exhibits such tendency again he will strike out the case for unseriousness on his part.*

*(30)* Angry statements like "this is not the only court of law , if I give my judgement there is still the court of appeal and the supreme court as available avenues for appeal or redress..etc followed

*(31) These rants, a clear manifestation of frustration on the part of the judge adds some weight to the argument of a major segment of the society that believes that he already has a* biased judgement that he is itching to deliver in order to serve the premeditated intention of his backers. In this case the APC led federal govt ...

*#Salient questions* were been left begging for answers :

*(I)* ::why is there no attempt whatsoever by the judge to request for an independent medical team to access and ascertain the health status of the defendant before yesterday ?

*Medical reports from NUTH ,LUTH ,UNTH and also Federal Medical Centre Abuja suggested medical attention abroad , yet you rejected them .*

*(b)* Why did the judge refuse to accept the verdict of a doctor working in the medical department of the federal high court and who only came into the matter as a result of the accident in court ....is she biased too?

*(c)* Why has this matter been made to look like a deliberate witch hunt in a country where people has been known to enter plea bargains with the federal govt on stupendous amounts of money while Chief Olisa Metuh whose family members even offered to return the 400million were rejected. An amount approved for publicity work of a party which he has proven to have used judiciously before a world press conference prior to his arrest and current "persecution"

*(d)* Why has this judge consistently refused the defendants plea for medical treatment abroad or is it no longer a requirement of the law that a person standing trial be in good health, mentally and physically first ?

*(e)* It is on record that we have records of courts granting people request to travel for medical reasons .So why is metuh case different ?

*(f)* What legacy are we leaving for our generations to come if individuals in exercise of transient powers can be allowed to dehumanise their fellow beings while we pretend to practise democracy.

Politics / The Nigeria Restructuring Question : As Ndigbo Meets Today by IkayMOVE(m): 9:11am On May 21, 2018
The Restructuring Question : As Ndigbo meets today ...

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia

The trending question is, do we all die with this present 'Suffocating Federalism' or go for adjustment in what some called ' Restructuring' while others call it ' True Federalism' ?

While those that believe that this current Nigerian Federal System favour them , insist that there is no need to tamper with the status quo , those that see the status quo as an unsustainable set up , are calling for adjustment .

For me , I believe that the current system need adjustment beyond just political angle ,but Political Economy mechanism that will drive Nigeria development !

Without Restructuring that will unleash Nigerians Economic Potentials , various sections of the country will continue to agitate !

With the increase in the number of Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) in the North today , it shows that the current system is not working for the North !

With the continuous economic and political agitation across South , it shows that the system is begging for adjustment .

Restructuring should target driving Nigerians towards synergy between man and nature in order to unleash our potentials for our development .

Quest for Restructuring is a debate that is open to every interest group .

Awka Restructuring Meeting is also an opportunity for interest groups to submit their position on ongoing debate on Restructuring !

Calling for the summit not to hold by any group from Igbo land is against the Republican Nature of Ndi Igbo . By nature , Igbos allow opinions of various interests before arriving at a position .

If IPOB and any other interest groups has input to make on the summit , they should submit their position paper and not threat !

You don't achieve new country by threatening or hating people ! You sustain negotiation towards your interest and not by hating everyone !

On Restructuring , Nigeria can work optimally if we can adjust from 'Suffocating Federalism' to a Federalism that will advance our people and her society !

Let me end here by saying that every forum , meeting , conference etc for discussion on Nigeria workability ,should be an opportunity for advancement conversation towards saving the country .

Let's keep striving to navigate the Nation to a safety point of development mechanism .

Politics / IG Of Police Idris's Snub Of Senate Invitation: Buhari Threatening Democracy by IkayMOVE(m): 4:30pm On May 09, 2018
Police IG Idris Ibrahim snubs Nigeria Senate the third time... Is IG of Police not setting dangerous precedent for democracy ?

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia

Is it not better this Inspector General of Police resign and face his private life ?

When IG of Police cannot honour the invitation from the highest assembly of the people of Nigeria in our Democratic set up , then the democracy dies !

This Buhari regime is everything " Threat to Nigeria Democracy " !

Which other Democracy will her Senator or law making organ invites the police head and he or she will ignore the invitation is not Nigeria under President Buhari ?

I pity those that will try to see this development from Partisan , tribal or religious angle .

Where are we heading to with our democracy ?

May I remind our President that he is not heading Military Govt where his words are law without question . Even in Military govt IG of police honour invitation from Army Force Ruling Council .

National Assembly are the engine room of Nigeria democracy because it is the only arm of the govt that exist once we are into democracy and they represent Nigerians .

This is not about the personality of the leadership of the Senate , but the institution of the Senate !

What precedent are this govt setting ?

Before is too late , we are losing it ! How can the head of Police snub Senate invitation in era when killing is ongoing almost everyday across the country ?

Dont IG also aware that he can use the opportunity to seek synergy with the Senate on how their Parliamentary Policy intervention can help in protecting Nigerians in a time like this ?

How did we get into this in our democracy biko ?

It is of note that the Senate later resolved to declare IGP, Ibrahim Idris Persona non grata (an unacceptable or unwelcome person).

Said that the IGP is not fit to hold any public office in Nigeria or any other country.

For me , he is endangering democracy and Nigerians should watch him .

Politics / Buhari's Steps Towards Autocratic Regime : As Anarchy Roams by IkayMOVE(m): 7:47am On Apr 28, 2018
Buhari's steps towards Autocratic Regime : When the President becomes the institution

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia

Shifting from Democratic set up to autocratic regime , start from taking steps . Looking as President Buhari led regime is shifting towards autocratic regime that started with the arrest of opposition Spokesman in November 2015 :

(1) Buhari regime arrested The Opposition Spokesman Barr Olisa Metuh under spurious allegations in November 2015 . Gullible Nigerians believed that he was fighting Corruption not knowing that it was a deliberate agenda to kill opposition for him to drive the country without question .Many said sir , that is good for Metuh after all he is of PDP .

(2) He moved against Elzazaky , many said that was good after all he was a Muslim and a Shi'ite .

(3) He moved against Journalists and started arresting them ... Many believed that it is non of their business after all journalists are on their own .

(4) He moved against IPOB and Nnamdi KANU , many stated : that fits them after all , we are not members of IPOB .

(5) Buhari then moved against Judges , most of us clapped for him even when disciplining of judges remain within the exclusive jurisdiction of the NJC .

(6) Buhari regime moved to National Assembly , their resolutions became worthless to the executive . Many of us celebrated this against the National Assembly .

(7) President Buhari took $462million from Excess Crude Account in name of buying jets without National Assembly appropriating it inline with our law , some still clap for this build up to anarchy .

(cool Thugs went to Senate Chamber and forcefully took the Senate Mace and Nigeria Security under the executive control could not stop them ... Yet we still clapped.

(9) They Moved against Sen Dino Melaye , we clapped and many said after all he is also an APC chieftain .

(10) President Ordered IGP to relocate to Benue and he refused , we still clapped .

(11) Death of innocents Nigerians across Benue , Nasarawa , Taraba , Zamfara etc keeps increasing everywhere and yet no head of security has been sacked or questioned , we still celebrated after all it is not my state .

(12) He is gradually moving against Saraki , many of us are watching and celebrating .

(13) He goes against Senator Ike Ekweremadu , we still clapped .

(14) When they move against Sen Shehu Sani , many will still clap after all he is of APC .

(15) When Buhari moves against Sen Anyinnaya Abaribe , some will still clap , saying ' that PDP senator ... '

(16) Today , the entire Nation has been enveloped in fear and we are still clapping ...

(17 ) What started with Olisa Metuh is gradually enveloping the entire Nation .

Of course in building tyranny based regime , one needs to cripple all known opposition and institutions of democracy

... But , I see anger building up .

I see Nigerians resist this autocratic regime build up .

Tension is building up every day . Institutions of Democracy are dismantled .

Danger is building up !

I am worried !

God save Nigeria !

Autocratic set up will fail in Nigeria ...

Our history as a Country have it that Nigerians always defeated autocratic regime whenever it raises its head ... This one too will fail

9 - In the month of September 2012 , GTBank wrote to Innoson that from their personal audit report , the excess bank charges was Five Hundred and Fifty-Nine Million , three Hundred and Seventy-Two naira ,Nine kobo ( N 559.3Million).

10 - Innoson agreed to their version and decided to accept payment from it in the spirit of amicable resolution.

*11*- Innoson also requested that the said agreed amount of N559.3million be paid with a 22% interest rate because Innoson had been repaying all his loan with GTBank at 22% interest rate.

12 - GTBank refused and said that the best they can repay excess and illegal deduction is at 7% interest rate . This led to another disagreement between Innoson and GTBank .

13 - As a result , in 2012 , Innoson sued GTBank at Federal High Court Awka with Suit No : FHC/Awk/Cs/2012 .

14 - Federal High Court, Awka delivered Judgement in favour of Innoson in excess of N4.7billion against GTBank.

Delivering Judgement in suit no : FHC /Awk/ CS / 139/2012 , the FHC awarded N4.7billion to Innoson Motors against GTBank .
The court also ordered GTBank to pay 22 % (percent ) interest on the Judgement debt until all the payment had been made to Innoson .

17 - In its various affidavits, particularly at the Court of Appeal in suit no : CA/E/288/2013 , GTBank deposed that if it pays the outstanding Judgement debt of N6billion , much less the N8.5billion , it could go bankrupt and be out of business .

18 - GTBank went to the Supreme Court .The case is still in the Supreme Court , while the Judgement debt is about N8billion now to be paid to Innoson by GTBank .

#Another Cases:
IBADAN Cases : Innoson /GTBank/Nigerian Custom Service :

19 - Nigerian Customs Service Auctioned Innoson goods .

20 - Innoson challenged the action Nigerian Custom Service for auctioning its goods at Federal High Court , Ibadan .

22 - Rather than Comply with the Garnishee Order Absolute of the Court , GTBank on February 6, 2015 appealed the Judgement , but the Court of Appeal in Appeal no. CA/1/258/2011 affirmed the Judgement of the Federal High Court and ordered GTBank to pay the Judgement debt of #2,048,737,443.67 (#2.048billion) to Innoson .

23 - GTBank , instead , appealed to the Supreme Court against the Court of Appeal's decision where GTBank claimed through a motion in suit no : Sc /694/2014, that the Court of Appeal Judgement in Ibadan (CA/I/258/2011) was procured by suspicious means .

24 - On May 12, 2017 , Supreme Court in its wisdom and rightly , dismissed that unfounded and exasperating claim of GTB against Innoson .

25 - As a result , Innoson commenced a N400 billion suit against GTBank , in the suit No: FCT /HC/CV/2448/2017 at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja .

#Another issues

26 - Consequently , in order to save itself from paying the outstanding Judgement debts to Innoson , the GTBbank filed a petition against Innoson alleging forgery which led to the suit No : FHC /L/565C/2015 by Police .

27 - On February 17, 2016 , Police properly and Competently withdraw the charges against Innoson , saying they needed to properly investigate the bank's complaints first and see if they had merits .

28 - On September 1 , 2014 , GTBank secured an ex parte order on Innoson Nigeria Limited, dated September 1, 2014 with suit no FHC/L/CS/1119/2014 , filed before a Federal High Court in Lagos , between GTBank and Innoson Nigeria Limited , issued by *Justice Okon Abang* , ordering that , pending the hearing and the determination of the substantive suit , all Commercial Banks in Nigeria were restrained from accepting in any manner whatsoever to any mandate or instruction presented to them by Innoson Companies or any of its agents or nominees for withdrawal of any sum of money standing to the credit of any account maintained by the company in all the banks.

29 - However , on June 10, 2015 , *Justice Saliu Saidu* of the Federal High Court , Lagos , in a Considered ruling set aside the ex parte order of September 1, 2014 , by Justice Okon Abang and the writ of summon as well .

30 - Innoson then slammed a N30 billion suit on Guaranty Trust Bank for what it had suffered in monetary terms and reputational terms during the months when the accounts of its companies in all Nigerian banks were frozen.
With Innoson winning both cases at the High Court and both cases at the Appeal Court, and GTB appealing, both cases are awaiting the verdict of the Supreme Court. Meanwhile the fresh N30 billion naira suit has just gone to the High Court to start its legal journey.

....

In all , Innoson has won two High Court cases and two Appeal Court cases all against GTBank .

Innoson as at today has Judgement debt over about N10billion based on 22% interest rate against GTBank .

#Questions for EFCC :

(i) Now where is the EFCC coming from in all these ?

(ii) Does EFCC actually understand their duties here ?

(iii) Is EFCC by their action not sabotaging Nigerian economy ?

(iv) If EFCC should to arrest any of the parties , shouldn't GTBank who dubiously deducted Innoson money from his account and have debt of about N8billion to pay Innoson that they should arrest ?

Politics / PDP National Convention : Former Minister Of Finance Joins Race For National Sec by IkayMOVE(m): 4:37pm On Nov 21, 2017
#PDP National Convention: Former Minister of Finance joins race for National Secretary ...

Senator Nenadi Usman, former Nigeria’s Finance Minister has declared interest to contest for the post of National Secretary, People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Usman served as finance Minister between 2006 – 2007 and represented Kaduna South senatorial zone in the National Assembly.

Usman declared interest to contest in a statement released to appeal to the PDP congress delegates in which she echoed her readiness to serve.

She wrote :

I'M READY TO SERVE AS NATIONAL SECRETARY OF OUR GREAT PARTY

Dear Distinguished Delegates,

It is not borne out of sheer ambition, but it comes straight from my innermost conviction that I can serve our great Party, the PDP, diligently, with wit and intelligence, as National Secretary.

I come prepared. Academically qualified, I've served my home State as a teacher, grassroots mobiliser, youth mentor, and Commissioner, among others.

As a Minister at the Federal level and a Senator of the Federal Republic. I have remained steadfast in my belief in, and loyalty to our great Party since 1998 when the Party was founded.

I am resilient that our tomorrow will be better. I desire to be part of the Team that will not only redeem our Party, but shoot us back into relevance as the Party at the centre.

I believe I can do it, if you give me your support to run and serve as National Secretary of our great Party.

Thank you for your anticipated endorsement.

I am, your sister,

Senator Nenadi Usman

Politics / Osun State And Crisis Of Priority : Helicopter, Billions For Feeding Vs Salaries by IkayMOVE(m): 4:14am On Jun 08, 2015
Osun State Governor and Crisis of Priority :Bought Helicopter and retire over #2billion for feeding, but can't pay workers ...

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia.

What manner of policy priority will make a government retire about #2billion in the name of feeding primary School children , while same government could not pay the parents of such school children ?

What policy is it that saw a state that could not pay her workers their salaries for 7 months now buying and maintaining Helicopter ?

What is wrong with some of our public policy makers ?

Where is the priority ethics of policy selection in Osun State ? How can governor move with Helicopter with taxpayers' money while workers have been sleeping for 7months now without their salaries ?

I am concerned not because am one of the workers , but because those involved are human beings with families and responsibilities .

I am concerned because such policy endangers National Security ,since it can lead to social unrest .

My fear is that less-concerned attitude of Governor Alegbesola of Osun State , calls for attention of security agents towards this Governor that always visit CUBA.

Governor Alegbesola must be up to something and every right thinking Nigeria should watch this governor very close .

This is not a time for political party , ethnicity or Religion divides ! This is a time for every Nigerian in respective of Political party, Ethnicity and Region , to stand up and save this situation that can envelop the entire Nation.

Why Osun State case is so bad is that the Governor Dont behave as if there is issus not to talk about solving it.

I repeat , Osun State poor priority driven Crisis is a National Danger if nothing happen !

I will not even fail to call the Honourable members of Osun State House of Assembly , especially the incoming ones to be Honourable enough in discharge of their duties in order to save the state through the use of Parliamentary instrument of control .

If he do not have the metal capacity to drive post-oil boom or none Oil economy , he should resign and give room for able hand that can drive the state to safety .

Britain , at the face of World War II , went for a Warrior like Prime minister in the person of Wilson Churchill and he came and delivered !

After he successfully persecuted the 2nd World War , he wanted to continue as a Prime minister , but Britain rejected their hero (Churchill )! Why ?

They needed a post-War Prime Minister that will rebuild a Post-War Britain and Not a Warrior .

Osun State with the current happening, don't need Alegbesola in this economic era! Every Leader suit a particular situation ...Alegbesola is not for Osun State of this era and he should resign and save the state and himself!

#StopAlegbesola and Save the people and Our Democracy...

God Bless Nigeria.

Nairaland / General / Fuel Scarcity: Ifeanyi Ubah Moves To End It...as Lagos And Abuja Residents Remol by IkayMOVE(m): 8:27am On May 25, 2015
Fuel Scarcity : Ifeanyi Ubah moves to end it ...As Lagos and Abuja Residents celebrate his intervention...

By Ikechukwu Emeka Onyia.

The fuel scarcity which has been ravaging the nation's economy and stability that has in the recent time been leading to the point of social unrest has been arrested by the patriotic move the of CEO Capital Oil and Gas Ltd (Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah) who announced today at Lagos that his Company will start loading fuel in order to save the Nation .

Meanwhile, despite the untold sufferings and hardship this scarcity has brought to Nigerians irrespective of class and locations, other markers have hardened their hearts and insisted on strike , the Nnewi born philanthropist, touched by the plight of Nigerians took a bold step and pulled out of the strike to save the Nation and I salute his courage.

It is of note that even the Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC) is already poised for a Nationwide strike due to fuel crisis.

The crisis which many see as a threat to the smooth transition of power on May 29th has been salvaged through the patriotic intervention of the Anambra born Oil Entrepreneur .

Abuja and Lagos (Political and Economic ) capitals of Nigeria are the most affected by the scarcity.

Recall that Capital Oil and Gas Ltd played the same role during shortage of Kerosene years back .

We therefore call on other players in our Oil Industry to look beyond their personal gains and emulate this uncommon display of compassion, patriotism and love of Ifeanyi Ubah to avert the impending economic doom.

While speaking with some of Abuja taxi drivers this evening(24-05-2015) on this development , one Mustapha said to me:

"though me I no Know that Ifeanyi Ubah, but na Allah go bless am for me, you see me ba? I don suffer for fuel for this Abuja."

It is also reported that there is sign of relieve in Lagos over Ubah's move to curb the fuel crisis

However, some observers are afraid that cabals in Oil Industry who are already feeling threatened by Ifeanyi Ubah's intervention will not sleep, there are palpable fear that they will fight Ubah.

Olatunde Ade, calls for prayer from Nigerians so that no force will stop Ubah's quest to help Nigerians on this fuel crisis .Hear him:

"Make Nigerians pray for that man ooo!, all these other oil marketers no go happy for that Ifeanyi Ubah kpata kpata , but God go help am ooo..." He said.

I call our marketers to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice for the common good and strive to make sacrifice to save our Nation.

God bless Nigeria.
#GodblessIfeanyiUbah.
