Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal, What Has Changed Since 2012? by ikechi1(f): 10:14am On May 16, 2016
koboko69:

A lot have changed.
Nigerians are now more politically informed.
Nigerians now have a president they can trust only hated by the ipads.
Oil sells just about 40usd per barrel and was even sold @ 28usd per barrel before. Hence Fx earnings have reduced drastically.
Should the ineffectual Buffon have saved, and not squandered our Fx, via Dansuki gate, Ekiti gate and others, Nigeria will have enough to defend the Naira like Yaradua did.
The reason for the high price is not actually the subsidy removal, but because of the $ rate in the parallel market as they can't get Fx to import at the official rate, simply cos there is no enough Fx
Lastly be informed!

Well done Sir. To often times people spread misinformation on this forum but here we have someone who has honestly captured the key issues!!!!

Thx Casper. I think her stuff look really nice she is definately talented. But are we as nigerians giving our custom to these talented designers. To be honest she is one of the very best I have seen. I have not been to impressed with the ones in th UK.

Tiffany Amber in nigeria is also very impressive she is now at the Palm Springs shopping mall in VI

For simple ready to wear dresses Haps-Fashion in the uk is also very good- she is relatively new but watch the space!!

Check out this new British born nigerian designer called HAPPINESS.

The website is www.haps-fashion.com

The dresses are relatively exclusive with an ethnic twist , the prices are good for what you get and you can buy them online.

good luck smiley

Who would you rate as the Best Nigerian Fashion Designer at present? and I am talking worldwide not just in Nigeria!!

How do you all think thier stuff compares to the likes of Cavalli, Gucci, D&G etc, as regards quality of design and also quality of make??

Do you think we patronise them enough??

We the young nigerians and Africans are starting to patronise our music wit the likes of 2face, P-Squared and Debanj when formally it used to be American artists that sold records, Will this trend extend to Fashion??
