I hope you saw where Ikechukwu48 referee to Onicha as Aniomaland as if Ezechima founded the place. That needs to be corrected asap and nipped in the bud. If Onicha is Aniomaland then Asaba is Ani Omanbala.
What needs to be corrected...it's the truth. Even onitsha people would tell you this. Infact everything I know about onitsha is from onitsha people's own mouth. See me see wahala

OdenigboAroli:
Now,I am not trying to cause division or start animosity but it is very very wrong to say Aniomaland extends into Omanbala land. That is very misleading. The Ezechima clan in Onicha and Obosi were settlers, just like some other Anioma groups in Ogbaru,Nsugbe. These people met Omanbala land owners on arrival. You can say Anioma people are found in Anambra but they are not the original settlers,we know ourselves...It's well documented.
Let's not start unnecessary rift. We also have Omanbalas in Aniomaland but we will never call Anioma land ana Omanbala. Let's respect each other that peace may rain. Daalu, rinne. I remain proudly nwa Omanbalas/nwa onye Igbo.
I lived in onitsha for a portion of my life. My brother still live in onitsha as we speak. My cousin and sister are both married to Onitsha people. From onitsha peeps own mouth, Eze chima founded onitsha likewise the rest. They didn't meet anyone there. Omanbala or whatever cannot lay claim to aniomaland. We are not fighting for your own, so abeg leave our own for us.
Btw: I'm not saying they are not Anambra people ( obviously by state creation they are, but they are also anioma)

It's obvious you lack compression. Defeat who? You think I'm some jobless dudes that come to a faceless forum to argue with some ignorant folks? I have more important things to do with my time than come on here to argue with some deluded folks. Like I told him a long earlier when I newly joined this thread, he's irredeemable so arguing with him is pointless.

I've said this before and I repeat, you don't know more about the extent of Aniomaland than I do. I'm very involved with many Anioma groups and organizations and in all our events, nobody has ever talked anything about those towns I listed there. To we the Anioma people, they're not Anioma.
As for Asagba, who doesn't know he's a political king? Who respects him? A monarch in a tiny Anioma village commands more respect than the Asagba.

Did you just say ika trying to catch up with you? In what sense? Aniomaland is greatly blessed with great men from Agbor to Onitsha. Please tell me. Is it in human capital? In what exactly? Are you trying to say Oshimili land has more great men? Or more political relevant? I'm waiting for you to tell me what you mean by this.
The more you try to save face, the more you give your stupid self away. My father attends EVERY anioma organization. Even when he comes here to visit me and my sis, he tries to attend any anioma organization he can find. Hell it was even through my father that I knew of the anioma organizations in America as well as the leaders. My father is even classified as an elder back home despite his age and through him I've had access to talk to several elders of aniomaland so Nigga I know more than enough about aniomaland. The anioma in Anambra that you claim "WE don't see as Anioma" (btw: who the Bleep is we? Cause it's sure as hell not anioma people). Anyway, the Anambra peeps get invited to anioma events and they are members of Anioma organizations and have NEVER been denied recognization by ANY of the leaders, be it political or monarchs. Infact the Anioma groups in Anambra that you keep classify as the "only" anioma in Anambra (aka onitsha) are the ones that even deny their anioma heritage and quick to tell you how different they are from the ones in delta...infact they look at us as a pariah and take insults when classified as Anioma....this i know from experience. Only a small portion of onitsha people accept being identified as Anioma, the rest sees it as an insult. Even the obi of onitsha BARELY, emphasis on the word BARELY attends any gathering or unifying attempt of anioma. The rest of the Anioma land in Anambra DO NOT have that behavior and even the more open to their heritage unlike onitsha. The fact you don't know this sh1ts speaks high freaking volume. The fact you think Asagba is a political monarch speaks high volumr.

Dude go sit somewhere. I'm done talking to you. You are NOT anioma. It's obvious as f2k!!!!!

The year Anambra was paying 10 grand (2015), your Osun couldn't even pay one kobo (2015)

You opened this thread to compare Anambra to Osun, a huge insult to Anambra or even any state at that, and in the end all you did was exposed your osun government incompetent, yoloba propaganda of talking about salary payment in 2013/2014 in year 2016 and embarrass the Osun government.

You seriously must have a family member that's high in APC...that's the only logical explanation why they keep a person that constantly giving people right to laugh at them. That's the only explanation I can think of why you still work for them.

People biko come see what this one quoted as something we should listen to

Level eight and above workers in Osun State Civil Service might have come to the end of the financially impelled half salary payment by the state government.

There were indications that the state government has stopped the payment of the half salary to the level eight and above workers.

Payment of full salary is expected to commence from July salary, according to sources in the office of Chief of Staff to the Governor.

The state government had on Tuesday, September 6, paid June salary to the workers, with level 1 to 7 receiving full salary while level 8 upward received half salary. Three months leave bonuses were also paid with the salary.

Government started the half salary payment in June 2015 when economic crisis broke out in the state, holding the state’s finance by the jugular.

This year’s June salary marks a year anniversary of half salary payment in the state. By calculation, level 8 upward civil servants are owed complete six months salaries.

CityMirrorNews learnt that Governor Rauf Aregbesola has resolved to begin payment of full salary to the workers from July salary which would be paid soon.

It was learnt that 2013 Leave Bonuses have been cleared while the government has begun payment of 2014 bonuses.

In the last June salary payment, three months of January, February and March leave bonuses have been reportedly paid to the workers whose birthdays fall in the months. Leave bonuses were usually paid on the birthdays of the workers.

CityMirrorNews learnt that leave bonuses of April, May, June, July, August and September for 2014 have been paid.

The governor has also shown his readiness to clear the six-month backlog of half salaries of the level 8 and above workers of the state.
And this one is telling us to clap for their act in 2013 and 2014 when we have this

Lean how to read and comprehend.

The man was talking about increasing National minimum wage from 18k to 50k which has nothing to do with Anambra's bellow minimum wage payment.

He was speaking nationally and not about anambra...

Show us where anything was uttered about Anambra paying full minimum wage or keep quiet...
Show us where Anambra was stated in that actually NEWS SITE, not a blog of not meeting minimum wage

Infact the dude even stated

Anambra workers are full of expectations that Obiano will put smiles on their faces by fulfilling his promises of increasing salaries,” the unionist said

While I'm at it, It was Anambra state that started the drive to increase salary...that news made wave in 2015. We all remember that shit

I repeat the question again:

Why would a state that can't make "minimum wage" apprpve the increase of their workers pay by 15% while your osun that is sparkly making "minimum wage" is busy struggling and have repeatedly asked for bailouts on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS.

In addition it was NLC chapter In ANAMBRA that is fighting for increase of the minimum wage to 50 grand based on the government of the state approval increase of the state salary.

How come it is not OSUN state?

The agency itself that your blog quoted us even planning on raising Anambra salaries to 50,000 based on the GOVERNMENT REQUEST.

Why would a state that can't pay "18,000" ask for their workers salary be given a raise.

Does that make any logical sense to your ass

You yolobas can't even do good propaganda.

Your osun can barely feed itself and this monkey is here thumbing chest over the joke of a state that every state government mocks and try their best not to be like grin grin grin

Doug07034780891:
**Anambra is already targeting 50k minimum wage. Even the recent increment by Obiano may have landed Anambra's minimum wage to about 20-22k..

Mr Jerry Nnubia, the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Anambra , says that the current minimum wage being earned by workers should be increased to N50,000 monthly from its present N18,000.

Nnubia told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Awka, capital of Anambra, that the increment became imperative following the “harsh” economic realities in the country.

Nnubia said that the minimum wage was long overdue for an upward review.

“At the time we negotiated for a minimum wage of N18, 000, a dollar was exchanging for N140, but a dollar exchanges for between N220 and N240 now.

“The cost of living; accommodation, transportation and food items has also gone high, making it difficult for salary earners to take care of their basic needs,” he said.

NAN also reports that the Association of Senior Civil Servants last month also demanded a minimum wage of N46, 000 for workers.

Its Secretary-General, Mr. Bashir Lawal, in Lagos State, said that the existing N18, 000 minimum wage could not meet the socio-economic demands of workers.

According to Nnubia, the Federal Government’s fight against corruption will further help to improve the economy.

He urged the Federal Government to review its housing policy for workers, noting that civil servants had not benefitted from the existing housing scheme despite their monthly contributions to the scheme.

“The current contributions of workers to the national housing scheme should be made to work,” he said.

He commended Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra for his positive dispositions towards workers’ welfare, but noted that more still needed to be done in the state.

“Anambra workers are full of expectations that Obiano will put smiles on their faces by fulfilling his promises of increasing salaries,” the unionist said.

Why didn't I read the comments to this thread.

So the NLC that the aressa clown even quoted from a blog stating that Anambra is not paying minimum wage was even praised by the chairman and said work increase Anambra peeps money to 50 grand.

So osun is paying 18 minimum while Anambra is even being moved to 50 grand based on the state government request grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

I repeat again what an insult to Anambra to be compared to osun.

Like Ikechukwu48 said, I don't believe that he is from Anioma. Notice how he switched from accusing me of not being from Anioma to saying that the "Igbos don't know their history". If he is indeed from one of the Anioma groups under dispute, which I highly doubt, then it is him who does not know his history. How can he expect us to take his arguments seriously when he can't even identify the full extent of Anioma land?

I don't usually like to get involved in threads such as I don't really care that much for other people's lies and propaganda. However, I've come to notice that a lot of people are starting to believe the nonsense they write. That's why the likes of @coolitempa, a Yoruba poster (I assume) thought it okay to come on a thread populated with mostly Igbos and say that my people are not Igbo but rather Bini. That is the last straw and I will not stand for it anymore. The next time I see someone try to question my people's Igboness again, they will have hell to pay
angry.
Ever since I read the past dein of agbor and obi of idumuje unor books as well as the argument the Onitsha peeps had regarding their ancestry, I've become extremely suspicious of binis and very self aware. Like lately, I've been reading online on some website stating Asaba has bini ancestry and the first king was bini or some shit like that and I'm dumbfounded to be honest. Growing up I know Igala is the other Non Igbo bloodline in us and Bini were the people we traded with. That was the story I got from my parents, that was the story I read and that was the stories I learned from elders as well so where the Bleep is the Bini crap being posted online coming from. Most annoying aspect is that is not even written by an Asaba person or even anioma...majority of the time. I know exactly how you feel lady.

There is possibility of him being Bini, but also know that I had seen Ikas that behave exactly like him, so there is still the possibility of him being Ika.

Ngozi is right. I've read both you and his argument plus other stuff he said on this page...there's no doubt in my mind that dude is not anioma. He might live among us but he's not one of us. His comments indicated it. Like the first guy you guys were arguing with for sure is ika but that chukyz whatever guy I believe is that Bini dude

My reasons are based on several thing. 1.) The fact that you, that isn't even ika, can defeat him in an argument discussing about Ika and you used ika writers to do so speaks volume. The fact he couldn't defend any of what you posted is exactly as that igbodo and Bini dude argument back in the day.
2.) The fact he didn't even know anioma extend past delta state and someone else had to explain it to him. Even in his attempt to save face he also gave himself away....when he stated and I quote "maybe ndoni". Like which anioma does not know that ndoni is part of aniomaland? The fact he even said only Onitsha is anioma also speaks volume. Like which anioma does not know that aniomaland in Anambra extends past Onitsha? Abeg gi
3.) Where he stated that Noone know who Asagba is. Like once again which anioma does not know who Asagba is. Like I know ika are desperate to be seen as equal with us but one thing I can say about Ika peeps..they might be crazy, liars, attention seekers, etc but one thing they aren't is not delusional. They aren't delusional
There are several other things that makes him a suspect.

That guy is not anioma...I'll bet my left testicle on it.

Thank you for calling out his bigotry. I want to take this opportunity to inform all of those Igbos still campaigning for 'One Nigeria' that you will never be seen as their brother or sister and you will never be seen as their equal. The Fulani herdsmen have been killing and raping for years now yet the President doesn't blame the entire Fulani populace for this; some of his supporters ask us to analyse each case individually in order to find specific reasons for their actions whilst others unashamedly go to the extent of placing the blame on non-Nigerians. Whereas for us, the case is totally different. If one Igbo commits a crime then all of the Igbos must be condemned for it. If a few Igbos support Biafra then all Igbos must be labelled as separatists. I would really like to know why some Igbos still believe in 'One Nigeria', it truly baffles me huh.
OR why Igbos still.help Nigeria

Can you imagine that I recently learned that NOI, the lady they love to harass, insult and almost pull down, son and husband are currently planning to build one of the largest hospital in Abuja to use to cater to the poor. The only other closest might even be the Dein of Agbor and he gets b1tch slapped and dragged and told what to do by the monarch of Benin kingdom...a complete joke that a king bows to another king...laughable. Don't make me laugh here with the rubbish you tried to sell

bt wen ibe kachukwu was made d minister of state for petroleum, wat was d reaction of d easterners? Dey said he is from ika and not an igbo man and therefore fg can't say dat d position is being occupied by an igbo man.
Wow...I seriously pity you. SE actually never said that. The people that said it are Yoruba that claimed that SE said it. Infact I actually give you a homework...provide where SE members made such comment. I'll gladly provided you direct twitter post, and NL post where yoruba people claimed such and accused SE of it.

I thought it was only SE that falls for this people pathetic divide and rule acts but I see we have few like yourself that also do. I pity all of una...SE and the likes of you. You all are just beyond gullible.

Ukwuani and Ika people are particularly vocal and harsh about their anti-Igbo stance, so people generally just lump everyone over the Niger together, I'm guessing you're Aniocha?
Even within the ika community, there are several ika groups that are proudly igbo such as igbodo, Owa, etc. I bet you you aren't aware the current king working alongside Asagba to unite the entire igbo community is the current obi of Owa. Guess what? Owa kingdom is an ika community. I bet you didn't know that yet you judge all based on agbor community. Smfh.

And yes I'm aniocha. I know anioma very well and anyone from anioma land will tell you within our group the deniers are a minority, they are just very loud and attention seekers.

The sad about the entire scenario is the denier you found are caused by SE. Why? Because you lots listen to Yoruba and Hausa/fulani and then insult and belittle your own ppl because you believe "anioma hates Igbo" simply because of what the two groups that hates you tell una. Continue though!

There are binis who now anioma, very many villages in onitcha-ugbo goes by d prefix 'idumu' that is a bini word, it shows that the time they were named the people had a bini-ish language, the history of issele uku says they migrated from bini. i also know a chiefly anioma family and their anscentral name is isibor, which is bini not ika or iboid. There is a lot of bini anscentry in anioma.
The binis you see in anioma today are children of migrants. No offence but the Bini have also tried on multiple occasions to rewrite severall anioma history....for example: the Agbor. Prior to the current agbor king who testify that agbor kingdom stems from Benin kingdom, his father wrote a book stating otherwise. In the book, his dad attested that the origin is currently unknown and even stated and I quote "even the Bini that claims he's one of their own". It's similar to how I read an Onitsha argument about their origin and several of their people stated that the Binis migrated with their current leader to Onitsha but unfortunately, they started rewriting their history till now Onitsha is wrongly known as a kingdom started by Bini despite it is not. I've not read issele uku history so I cannot truly say if it's the same scenario but who knows

On the contrary Yoruba's don't even know the difference btw Delta-Igbos or Igbos.Once you are not Hausa or Yoruba, they refer to you as Igbo.Simple! How can a non native be the one to tell you where you belong?Isn't that funny and a bit shameful for the natives?
Please just shut up.

I'm from delta and igbo and the people that always tell me I'm not igbo or inform me that I'm deltans and delta is not igbo are YORUBA. I've actually never gotten it from any other tribe except you people so he knows exactly what he's saying. Most of us have experienced that predominately from you people and nobody else
