Let me just say this cos it may help, I was inside ecobank today to ratify an issue that happened since last week though not salary. It was so clear that they Ve big network issue. so many were also asked to call the customers care number behind their ATM. And their language has been "we acknowledge that and working on it" So try find out if it's the banks network palava cos my money has been hanging since then. quote author=darkstan post=63665384]A teacher in Senior Secondary section of C.S.S. Luawii called me and asked if I have received December salary as Ecobank has not credited his account yet. I'm still amazed with the manner Ecobank paid December salary. I even confirmed from my source at Ministry of Finance today and he said that Rivers State Government has already released December salary to Zenith Bank since last week Tuesday as I earlier informed the house last week. He said that his wife who is an old civil servant working at the State Secretariat is also affected as her salary account is Ecobank. He said that the problem is not from the government but from Ecobank and I should have patience while the bank resolves it. I have also contacted some newly employed teachers in Senior Secondary in Khana LGA and they stated that their salary account is Union Bank and that they have received December salary since last week Thursday. Maybe the Senior Secondary teachers in Khana LGA using Ecobank that you are referring to are old teachers.[/quote] |

I DON'T THINK IT'S RVS THING ALONE IT'S NATION WIDE. Federal Government To Sack Teachers Without Professional Certificate April 18, 2017 All News, All other News, Breaking News, Education, Headlines, National News, Society & People, Top Stories Leave a comment 169 Views The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Professor Olusegun Ajiboye has warned that the Federal Government will not allow any teacher without the professional certificate of the council to teach beyond 2017. Professor Ajiboye, who made this known in Ibadan, explained that the policy was part of the three-year Ministerial Strategic Plan designed by the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu. He said the council would stop the present form of registration that did not entail any examination at the end of May 2017, while the first professional qualifying examination of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria would take place at the end of September 2017. According to Professor Ajiboye, the policy was designed to fully professionalise teaching in Nigeria and ensure that only those who are qualified to teach are employed by the government for quality assurance. While noting that the present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would not joke with professionalism in the teaching profession, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer added that teachers who registered on or before May thirty-one, 2017, would be exempted from the qualifying examinations. |

Wike said : “These APC governors who came to Rivers State are examples of failed governance . Benue State Governor , Samuel Ortom is owing workers for one year. Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong is owing 13 months, Bauchi State Governor has refused to pay workers for 14months.” “Is that what they want to export to Rivers State. They should keep their non payment of salaries. We are up to date in terms of payment of salaries. Our people are enjoying quality projects. I have not heard any of them commissioning projects.” ....... Vanguard news |

Peterside accuses Wike of running a 419 government – Dakuku Peterside accuses Gov Nyesom Wike of being interested in borrowing money to host irrelevant events – Peterside says Wike is operating a 419 government – The APC guber candidate in the 2015 election says Wike lacks the needed prowess to lead Rivers state Dakuku Peterside, the director general of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of being interested in borrowing money to host events while many civil servants are suffering. According to him, Wike lacks the needed prowess to lead Rivers state, Daily Post reports. Dakuku Peterside says Governor Wike lacks the needed prowess to lead Rivers state Peterside said this when All Progressives Congress (APC) members gathered at Okehi community, the Headquarters of Etche local government area of the state. The APC governorship aspirant in the 2015 election said Wike’s government is full of deceit and fraud, even as he challenged the Rivers governor to show one project he has done for his people after one year in office. "Dakuku Peterside accuses Gov Nyesom Wike of being interested in borrowing money to host events as well as operating a 419 government." Dakuku Peterside accuses Gov Nyesom Wike of being interested in borrowing money to host events as well as operating a 419 government. Peterside said: “Wike’s government is a government of 419. They went to bring court order. Fake court order, an order of deceit. “Let me tell you this, and you can take it to the bank, no amount of well-organized lied can dissuade Rivers people. We are resolute, we want good governance and that government is the APC government led by Rotimi Amaechi. “In just one year we constructed Peter Odili road and yet they went to resurface a one kilometre road and went to bring a governor from Sokoto to come and commission it. “I challenge this fraudulent government to show us one project they have conceived and completed in the last one year.” But in a swift reaction, Samuel Wonosike, the Rivers state publicity secretary of the PDP, described Peterside’s allegations as falsehood and urged Rivers people to disregard it. Wonosike maintained that the people of Rivers state are happy with the developmental projects put in place by Governor Nyesom Wike. The APC in Rivers last month recalled that barely 13 days after his swearing in, Governor Nyesom Wike on June 11, 2015 took a loan of N10 billion claiming same to be for provision of infrastructure in the state. Again on June 30, 2015 the party claimed he obtained a N20 billion loan from a commercial bank. This was followed with another loan of N30 billion on July 8, 2015. Not done yet, the governor obtained yet another loan of N10 billion on November 12, 2015. This was later followed with another loan of N10 billion the governor obtained on April 8, 2016. At the risk of losing count on the total loan profile of Gov. Nyesom Wike, records show that the governor has obtained an unprecedented total of N90 billion as loan since becoming governor of Rivers state. |
