Prophet Adam is muslim because he worshipped only one and TRUE God according to Quran chapter 2.
so christians, hindus, pagans etc are worshiping two and false god? |
lanrexlan: Brother, where's your proof that adam(pbuh) and his children weren't muslims? Every prophet is a muslim, muhammed(pbuh)wasn't the founder of Islam,he's the last and final messenger of ALLAH.If every muslim is the same, causing violence they should have killed you too.The media will just portraits the bad sheep of islam to the people, don't follow what the media says about islam or people,go and study islam yourself....Peaceprove to me that adam is a muslim. Only prophets in the koran are muslims and not the ones in the bible or else where. |
lanrexlan: That's the mistake many people do make brother, prophet muhammed(pbuh) isn't the founder of Islam.Islam has been in existence since the first man adam(pbuh) set foot on earth.Islam is derived from the arabic word 'salam' which means 'peace, and also the word 'selem' which means to submits one's will to ALLAH(swt). In short,Islam is peace acquired by submitting one's will to ALLAH(swt),the creator and cherisher of humans.A muslim is someone that submits his/her will to the creator(ALLAH).Every religion has its bad sheep,so don't judge Islam by its followers, judge Islam by its scripture The glorious QURAN......Peace.stop being an extrimist! Adam was never a muslim neither were his children. Islam started with mohamed. Again, there is nothing like good muslims, all muslims are the same only that some don't have chance to show the stuff they are made of. Egypt, morroco, algeria, libya, somalia, sudan, pakistan, syria northern nigeria, iran, iraq are always in war and violence every time. So where are the good muslims located?. This thread is like a school whom students have been performing very poor in every exam for years coming out to tell the public that they should not mind the poor students, that they are a quality school with best teachers. Where as it doesn't reflect in their students' performance. |
Rubbish! There is no difference. Without muslims, islam wouldn't have existed. It would have died with mohamed. Have u wondered why out of thousands of religion in this world islam is always singled out for violence? |

The recent uefa champions league semi-final has proved that without lionel messi, barcelona is an average. The presence of half-fit messi in the first leg could not help the catalonians while his absence was a night mare in the second leg. We can as well look back to the quater final second leg against psg of france where barca are on the verge of elimination before messi "messaiahd" them. This has acted as a shut-up to those who say that messi depend on barcelona(iniesta, xavi, busqet, fabregas) to perform. We can now see that messi is the heart of barcelona. He depends not on barca to perform instead barca depend on him to perform. |
Seun is muslim but has denied it on many occassions. His failure to create christian section, giving useless excuses is an evidence to that. Maclatunji may be his other id. |
Just watching from a far. Idemili culture must surely live, christianity must surely live. Each supporting the other . Abum nwa ide. |
Odenigbo Aroli: Ofcourse,I know they have the Adamas in Agukwu and so many other places that even you don't know about, like Oraukwu,Adazi and more. I don't know how authentic this story is but I read somewhere that the Adama were there before the arrival of IFIKUANIM. Some writers refer to them as inferior people why they (Adama) claim to be the owner of "Eze Nri". They used a phrase that says " Igbo fesia Nri,Nri efee Adama". Ikenga, would you mind to shead more light on the origin of the Adama?ok,let me do some research. |
ezeagu: Just to be clear, Ika, as a fringe 'Igbo' community, does not claim descent from Benin. We've given too much time to random internet claims and objections. It's time we start to find out the truth.you are really reasoning like a man. I like that. It's high we start ignoring all these e-histories. Lets judge ourselves by what we see within our environment. |
abagoro: I usually like to respect peoples views of themselves without imposing my impression even though I have mine. Igbos to me belong to same group as Yoruba, Idoma, Edo and Igala in terms of migration but some people were living in all these area and were mixed with the migrants. Most Igbos on the fringe usually have a story of migrating from else where outside the Isuama/Nri/Awka area which is considered by many as the Igbo core. We usually say we migrated from Idu, Obiama, Itu etc but many of these stories are quite doubtful to me.if so, why don't alot of yoruba people go around and write that they migrate from here or there?. 80% of the yorubas accept the oduduwa mytheology but in igbo case, each family claim what they like and go to the internet to write it as igbo history. Why not we search and find more about the history of the people that spoke the igbo language first and then find out how the language spread. Why are we claiming different origins where as a common look can point out much similarities than differences among us. Lets trace the origin of igbo language, to me ,that will give an accurate history of igbo people. |
ZUBY77: What dominance and influence are you talking about? Anu mpama.ntaji anya of the highest order. Keep searching for anambra influence. You will see it soon. |
Everybody here is just joking. I wonder oo! |
Odenigbo Aroli: @Ikenga Nri,have you heard about the "Adama" of Nri ?yes odenigbo, i know them. We have them in my town. |
ezeagu: My opinion:one thing you should know is that most igbo histories on the internet are lies. Igbo people have no documented history and so every community claim what they like. Culture and language are the only factors that can be used to trace the igbo origin. But to me, 90% of igbo communities are related in one way or the other. |
ChinenyeN: Briefly, here are some comments I have on the issue. I will be back to give more.thanks alot. But personally i think that interaction does not change language. People can interact and inter-marry for 500yrs or more and still retain their various languages and cultures. Language truly does not reflect totally the extent to which people have interacted with each other. In this case of interaction the groups involved may borrow words from each other but not the entire language. |
Afam4eva:an excellent response. I think that the problem is now how to know those old igbo people because everything is now mixed together and everybody claims to be original. But unitedly,we can do that, just lets throw away our ego. |
Some peeps on nairaland when discussing history use to point to igbo people as migrations of people of various origins. This,i doubt seriously as a person. i am not doubting the migrations of different groups but what i had always thought is that, igbo people must have existed before those migrations. If not, how can one explain the sameness of language in igboland today considering the fact that language can only be unique to the same people. Though this is my own opinion. Now i need yours. Mature comments please! |
I love this thread with passion. Very informative and educative. In short everybody here deserves one cow(ofu efi, ofu efi, onye ewekwana ibuo oo) odenigbo, ezeagu, achi, odumchi, yujin, pazienza et al....thumbs up! |
pazienza: I disagree with you. Anambra is but an artificial creation, not long ago, izzi and ezza people were anambrarians too.eziokwu ka ikwuru.anaram agunye asusu ndi south afu |
Yes,oraukwu, nnewi, awka and others do speak slightly different dialects but the matter is that we in anambra unlike other people from other states do know the little differences. We are not interested in exaggerating those little dialetic differences like others will do. That is why an anambra man will argue with u that we don't have different dialets. To we anambra people,we speak the same thing even though we know that there are slight differences. |
I've seen so many people here in the culture section write that anambra igbo dialect is onitsha mainly. This assertion is very wrong. Anambra have 177 communities and 177 slightly different dialects. Anambra dialects are so close that whenever different anambra people speak,it sound alike. We have our native dialects-yes, but even when we use them, it will only differ slightly from the so called onitsha dialect.words like ife, ihe, ive are all present in anambraa dialects. Nde,nda, kedu(how or where ) are seen across anambra. So i want to make it clear that anambra does not speak onitsha dialect but fussion of different anambra dialects(if the speaker does not go home).let no one make that mistake again! |
