Politics › Re: It Is More Difficult To Govern Lagos Than Anambra. But Fashola... by ikeyman00(m): 11:51am On Oct 20, 2013

Lagos is such a complicated State. From the sea of heads that circulate within its borders, to the dense residential and commercial houses, from the assembly of different cultures, ethnic groups to the overwhelming presence of all communities of agencies of governance; the armed forces, banking groups, Church headquarters, to the unique terrain of land and canals, the quantity of waste and refuse churned out daily, the population of miscreants available within it.

But what amazes me most is that Mr Fashola B. has been able to manage this state to the extent that it looked as though Lagos is any other State. The way he has done it made it look simple. But for the compensations due the owners of certain buildings most of the strategic roads would have been close to complete dualization. Another thing is that he has short medium and long term plans on developing the State. The miscreants that flooded Lagos State have been reduced through meaningful engagements most of them are working in road traffic control

Having no "technocrat" experience from Fidelity Bank as someone would say, yet he did what the "technocrat" could not do in over 7 years.
Yes there may be some similarity between the two states like the presence of Large markets and touts but Lagos governance is definitely a more daunting challenge. Yet this Fashola...

Today, the administration of Mr Fashola has become a reference point for those clamoring for a change in the leadership of my darling State. We don't need Fidelity brand of "technocrats" any longer than March 2014. I don't have anything against Fidelity bank plc except that the people who use the name for their campaign could have done better in moving Anambra forward and possibly making it a reference point.[/s]

This Enugu crap is becoming a failed line. There are international airport in p.h, abj and kano and it still has not stop the traffic in Lagos airport. Most Yorubas have not step anywhere near alaigbo so why should they be having sleepless night for your airport. You lots are you the onces concerned about south west cause your home is hellhole. Wet in concern you with our owambe at least we own the first hang bridge, we will be rolling out our light trains and cable cars very soon. Why your state funds is used to balance the books of fidelity book and paying the native priest helping orji to cook is concortion. if y'all channel the energy you use to jealous southwest to ask your governor s for accountability alaigbo won't be the hellhole it's presently
ahaa they will stop at nothing; my friend u do not always have to look out for igbo thread to make a point

u can always keep it to yourself and i think u know that!

You guys are cheap! Ordinary international airport that's not up to standard. Personally I'm more interested in the President action or inaction. To me Stella is nobody cos I didn't vote for her.

Right her first crime was to update enugu to international airport. There was a call from the north for her resignation accusing her of tribalism

Ridding the aviation sector of all the yeye agbero FFK employed was never gona be easy; the usual oduduwa accused her of tribalism

still hanging on it

here they come again

meanwhile it ok for lagos state to use tax payers money to block road for owambe in pro-corruption's book!

They tried so hard to pretend that they careless about enugu airport but in their heart it worries then so much as u are dealing with igbo

how much more can we take before they know u cant keep this down for ever

this is just the beginning because they only revolution here is the day the great igbo will come together to anticipate to develop the east a lot of people will be hugging bare wires in Ibadan

ikennna did tell u ABS can only kick in when u hit those break pedal hard at emergency usually so u have a situation the four wheels doesnt lock which allows u to steer out of trouble.

i have come to understand that the fact u have ur ABS light on doesnt necessarily mean it isnt working

when u look under ur car those lines that goes from the bonnet all through to the end isnt just the fuel line

some are the lines that connect the ABS sensors at the real

a simple cut will set the ABS light off nevermind a faulty sensor

The contractor handling that road is more sluggish than a Mollusc. The only part of that road that looks 'Average' is the KM1 to Upper Iweka flyover which i think was done by Obi(later reimbursed) but starting from Upper Iweka down to Umunya what we have is a shabby, poorly constructed, unmarked road. It's an eyesore once you get to Awkuzu Junction. I doubt if they'll meet up with the 2014 commissioning date
Well well for all my time as far as i remember never see that road in good shape.

It isnt like rocks need to be broken or ground need to be graded, all they need to do is to scrape the surface and redo the surface to certain degree which will go a long way to last
