why would anybody buy a car without proper checking |
Stolen Honda, Toyota, Nissan Pathfinder vehicles are easy to sell - Robbery suspects punch Sesan Olufowobi If you own Honda, Toyota or Nissan vehicle, you need to be careful because if stolen, there are ready buyers willing to buy them. Idowu Saliu andSaheed Onitolo "We go for any Honda and Toyota products, we also snatch Nissan Pathfinders. This is because there are ready markets for the cars. In fact, before we go for most of our operations, we have people that are waiting to buy the cars. There is a middle man that will collect the cars from us and bring back our money. We get between N100,000 and N150,000 or more depending on the state of the cars. I have snatched six cars this year," a robbery suspect, Alhaji Idowu Saliu, told PUNCH METRO on Wednesday in Lagos. Saliu and another suspect, Saheed Onitolo, who were arrested by policemen in Lagos last week for allegedly using their car as an illegal armoury, said because buyers were always waiting to buy any of these products they were robbers' favourite. To ascertain the veracity of their claim, Saliu (30) and Onitolo (28) said they had snatched nine different vehicles that fell within the brands this year. Saliu told our correspondent that he and other two members of his gang operated around Egbeda, Akowonjo and Dopemu areas of Lagos State. "We look for a deserted road and I would make my own surveillance to see if the roads are good enough for us to make a quick escape. I also look out for possible get away routes," he said. According to him, once he was satisfied with the environment, other members would join him and they would conclude their robbery operation. Although Onotolo, who claimed to be an auto technician, is a member of the gang, he said his own line of operation was to drive stolen vehicles to sales point. "I don't follow them to rob, I only collect the cars and drive them to where they would be sold. My contact man is Gbenga and once he called me, I would meet them at a spot. I have not been with them for long, I have helped them to drive a Nissan Pathfinder and a Honda 'end of discussion' and a Toyota Camry since I joined them," he said. Ironically, the police did not arrest the men while on operation. Mba said, "It was a victim that recognised Alhaji (Salau) and raised the alarm before policemen arrested him. Initial investigation showed that the Alhaji was a member of a gang suspected to have robbed people of their vehicles in Lagos in the past. "Further investigation led us to the arrest of Onitolo and we also intercepted a Honda Bulldog car that was being used as a mobile armoury. Guns were cleverly hidden in the back door pad. "We later recovered from them a vehicle, a military assault rifle, two cut to size double barrel guns, 22 live rounds of 6m bullets and five live cartridges. "This discovery also made us to order another round of investigation into a bus that was abandoned by some young men when police stopped them. We also discovered a lot of gun in the engine compartment." Mba said police investigation would continue into the activities of Saliu, Onitolo and other gang members. http://odili.net/news/source/2010/aug/19/821.html |

agenda 41 lets look into Nigeria Police Force well i can understand the reason some are glamorising on state police but i think the best way to go on this is downlisted below 1; the police force should be overhauled like supereagle 2; they should undergone brand new training;the articulate and reading, drugs, commonsense etc should be tested 3;they should be equipped with brand new fire power with each gun having its own serial tracker 4;every police man should be issued with a tracker 5; fg should device some tax free line through the moblie network which can only be used by the police contacting their base station when the need arise; for eg no more excuse of succumbing to overwhelming fire power from the robberies, they can call for back up; that will save a lot of money to acquire a local radio transmitter 6;all police man should be able to say welcome etc in more than 10 ethnics lingo 7;all police men should be given a car like Honda babyboy in an attempt to inflict pride also 8; all vehicles in Nigeria should pay annual police force fee which should be administered by an independent administration; so imagine if there are like 1 million cars paying #300 each; that's like 300,000,000=<>£1.5,000,000,000 this will take care of the police salaries with every officer getting not less that #100,000; there should be an audit every 3/4 of the year which should be published and CBN overseeing the account, so all Nigerians will see what is going on; that way it will be difficult for the fg to meddle with police welfare 9; having say that police will be shying away from harassing motorise therefore no more bribing on the road rather they will be checking to see who hasn't paid police fee which should carry its own penalties 10; all these should be computerised that everbody can have an acess to see if their money hasn't been accounted for; this is the reason computer is there in the1st place; so u can type in your police fee number to check yourself 11; police should employ forensic methods in crime solving and data which will go a long way in tracking movement of criminals |
@@@@@@@@@@@@@ wetin de worry some mumu self ahhha these are the people wey dey make best nl fake analyst ikeyman isnt surprise to see their nuisance self in here stay tune this is going down to NIgerian press, asorock and all the station across nigeria cuz me know when i speak for some reason i see my ideas, on politicians, musicians etc so brothers why do u wana stop me i said no more monkey buziness, just stay tune foolish people |
@@@@@@ if Jon is any different from his gangs nevermind his own share of stolen wealth He shouldn't waste our money buying jets he should go ahead live on NTA to tell Nigeria that Independence day should not be celebrated for the year cuz he feels there are lots and lots of Work to be done in the survival and wake of recession, every little money should be utilised wisely I'm sure that billions will do alots of roads work *********standard***** It is becoming clear these looters in charge dnt strive for the masses; There is no point dining with other world leaders in Abuja over the pretence all is norm We have been made to believe that Power generation is that difficult to implement We have also been made to believe that wahala in Nigeria will take alot of zeal and money to fix but they forget to tell us where the money that comes in the system lets off |
As y'all already know in our quest to see Nigeria rise and stay afloat things cannot carry on as usually. Somethings must give and make way. This is who we are, the dead i remember are buried, soldiers etc Now on whether Nigeria is artificially made up by some lost ghost shouldn't be pivotal and relevant because last time i remember the same ethnics are killing eachother over a land in the 21st century we are living, so something isn't fundamentally right in Nigeria Therefore Nigeria must strive to live as brotherhood, nothing more or less, nevertheless one thing certain is Nigeria all along has be sold to The man himself DEVIL, so the need to get our country back should be the issue It will take time and process and should be engineer by Nigerians and not the aso rock master looters so we begin like this. . . . . . |
