Hello bro, how many days did it take for your domain to get a transfer out of DirectNic upon request after your buyer initiated with Auth-Code? And was it transferred to GoDaddy?

It takes 5days normally,
Yes to dan's godaddy.
If it's more than 5 days now, u should contact dem via live chat, they will apologize and tell u domain has been transferred and they forgot to clear backlog, seconds later u will not see Domain in ur account.

in a nutshell, the GD auction is not worth it?

D fact that auction is present, and you have a good name u wish to sell fast u can put it up for public auction .
In terms of commission, its a NO

Afternic do accept a push if the domain is not 60days old but they will first contact the buyer if he or she is comfortable with that. My last afternic sales was 15days old and the buyer has developed it.

I guess maybe I'm not just into afternic
But eventually I'll get to use it one day.

Afternic is American, Massachusetts, don't know of Epik.

CEO, Rob is American, so epik is American

You are selling to American end users, Afternic is an American company, they feel more safe transacting with such company

Please epik ain't American?
Andni thought afternic is GD's, and GD is UK

BTW, sending a link like
https://www.afternic.co m/domain/XyZ.com reveals the 'buy now' price.

Wow, didn't know about this, thanks.

In my case, i provided the enduser two options, mentioning the benefit of epik, and d fault of afternic, he agreed with Epik.

Maybe I'm missing something about afternic,
Why do people recommend them as 1st alternative tO Dan, rather than epik and co?
I mean:
1. Their commission is higher. 20‰
2. Someone here said he had to follow through 3 processes b4 price was revealed. Not all end users.can endure that.
3. If we talking about fast transfer, they don't support all registrars, so what if ur registrar ain't supported?

I'll appreciate response on y afternic is better

I got this reply from a buyer after sending lead from dan.

"The email is being flagged as spam, so I’m uneasy about doing business with the site"

"I have seen reviews of Dan.com that suggest it is not reliable. My gut is telling me this isn’t trustworthy"

Please what can i do or say? I have been trying so hard to convince the buyer but all to no avail.

Endusers tend to be losing faith in Dan. An end user also said he is willing to buy but can't use Dan. I'm waiting for domain to be 60days then go to epik for smooth transaction.

So I'll advice if it's over 60days,explain to him there is Epik, or afternic, then setup ur domain with either of them

I'll recommend epik, faster, 9%commission and user friendly

Please what are the disadvantages of registering a domain without privacy?

Some endusers know dis business well well, so they tend to have their own research on d name, especially if we are speaking about high x x x, or x, x x x.

Also, some investors willing to buy from u might overlook u cos ur info says Nigeria.

But still, i personally don't give importance to privacy.

Peace.

Sure you add email subject.

I recently did outbound, about 40+ emails no response yet.
Give it a few days and send follow up.

I did 109 for a single name, NO RESPONSE, only one threatening to take legal action for spamming

I understand what others are saying and I understand yours too. But in their own interest don't report incomplete info regarding your domain sales since it won't add value to their experiences. I think that is the plank of their rantings.

I personally don't report sales since my awful experience in my early days of domaining in 2007. That is a story for another day. I love my country but some undesirable elements can spoil your day by revealing some info to them. They will not use the info to their advantage but rather become a cog in the wheel of your progress.

@bolded, i came to understand that. That is why I rendered my sincere apologies without hesitation.

I'll continue to report sales report when next I'm blessed.

I wonder what you experienced.

Thanks.
All in all, it has passed.

Peace.

Boss, probably brandable shouldnt be my focus, at least not for the mean time. Defs we learn with time, most times the hard way, sometimes it comes easy.

Branduche:
Well I remember how u started and jumped on brandables registering and tweaks, and I said something, u will learn upon events, can u now see how events has changed you.. meanwhile, enjoy the tide of your report style

@bolded
I was made to understand it wasn't cool, so d tide is over

. Thou people here and on NP do same, but everyone has a reason.

Hello house, i wouldn't recommend using GD for a sale if its not big sale. Their commission is quite high

At least for a wire transfer

Nobody is competing with you in any regards. Cooperation is the key... Your self~interest will consume you!!! I remember when you were going up and down asking for "Sales Letter", imagine if the generous folks on this thread didn't lend you a helping now..

I appreciate the help and ill continue to seek for it, im still new to domaining, in fact i started 4months ago, any mistake I'll make is definitely from my inexperience. I'll also give helping hands as much as i can

LOL you guys mehn.. Early this year someone here made a big sale in the real estate sub niche, I recall he didn't disclose the name till date cos like you, he wanted to explore other cities, not sure he well that went.

You've recorded some good sales within a short period of time, don't let it push you in a regging spree.

Shalom.

Speaking of reg spree, if there is anyone afraid of reg a name its me grin

Remember after your first sale some was inspired and follow suit and also got a sale from your sale.

There's no message/lesson in that sales report. 45 days or so is actually a fast sale so I wonder what you mean by patience.

Don't report sales If you feel like trying out the name you sold in other cities, no one can blame you for that.

Noted.
Thanks

I think it's not compulsory to report sales. If you don't want to share the name, no need reporting sales here. Wondering what my fellow newbies will learn from this report.
