I keep seeing people here saying “Develop your country and You do not have to travel.”
This is largely not true.

While I agree with the statement, we need to realize that a lot of Nigerians travel for different reasons.

You might not know the effect of this until a member of your family is affected.

Having a good country shouldn’t limit you from traveling.

It’s just so sad to see people saying that this is a good thing just because it doesn’t directly affect them now . It might affect you or someone in your family tomorrow.

Let’s be open-minded as things could go both ways.

I visited Albania for a holiday: Tirana and Sarandë.

Generally, Albania is a nice place but looks like an advanced Lagos.

You can see everyone hustling just like Lagos.

It’s a nice place but I would not recommend it for permanent migration.

It doesn’t look like it’s worth it.

Hi,

I had my children in 2020 and spent a little over two months abroad during that period. When I was interviewed, the Visa Officer asked how I managed to stay for that long. I explained that I was on a 3-month maternity leave, in addition to my annual leave. The officer also asked for my delivery date and clarified that I wasn’t affected by the executive order signed by Trump at the time.

The VO then asked if I was planning to give birth while in the U.S. and explicitly advised me not to use my visa for that purpose. He mentioned that the B1/B2 visa could no longer be used for childbirth. My visa was then granted, and I have been able to renew since then with no issues.

This has been reported since two years ago, saying it now only reiterates what they’ve already said before the EO.

I just heard about the temporary restraining order. I think it will be for just 15 days.

The 14th Amendment is crystal clear: anyone born in the U.S. and subject to its jurisdiction is a citizen. That’s not bound by time or the reasons it was created. The Supreme Court in Wong Kim Ark settled this over 100 years ago, and no EO can override the Constitution or decades of precedent. Comparing this to Roe v. Wade makes no sense Roe dealt with judicial interpretation, not an explicit constitutional guarantee like birthright citizenship. Jus soli being rare in other countries is irrelevant; the U.S. Constitution doesn’t follow what other nations do. This EO will fail because it directly violates the law, and no amount of twisting can change that.

You appear to be well-informed and knowledgeable. However, people are concerned about the lawyers who drafted the EO as it is assumed that they are masters of this law.

When can we expect to know whether the EO will be discarded or has already been discarded? Will this happen before February 19th?

I am here to give my review after flying Airpeace to and fro on the London route.

I would say that it’s a little below average for an international flight, and with the awareness and media publicity, I was expecting something great.

Boarding was hectic and felt unorganized.

The plane looks too old for an international flight. Seats were already tearing off, and the media screen wasn’t working for most seats, including mine .

However, food and drinks were available anytime you wanted, and I have to give them that.

I enjoyed the meal and lots of drinks .

Not really a great experience, as I love Naija and will likely patronize them again.

Check your radiator or coolant reservoir cover, check hose for crack and leakage, also check the colour of your exhaust smoke, engine might be burning coolant slightly.

It is ML 400 , 2015 and I have attached the dashboard message.

Do you have an auto shop I can bring it for inspection?

Benz ML 400 started showing a dashboard warning to replace the coolant.
I have done that multiple times but I noticed it still keeps shorting the coolant after a few drive.
My office maintenance mechanic has checked and scanned but can not find any leakage anywhere and all the monitors look good and have no overheating.
So I am currently confused and need good hand to check and fix it
