Politics / Boko Haram Emerging Threat To U.S. Homeland by Ikoteyogrl(f): 7:35pm On Mar 13, 2012
http://homeland.house.gov/sites/homeland.house.gov/files/Boko%20Haram-%20Emerging%20Threat%20to%20the%20US%20Homeland.pdf

This link is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security report released in November 2011. There is already foreign assistance according to Nigerian Ambassador to the United States. So expect the US invasion similar to Libya's and trust me they will use the drones as specified. I do not know why Nigerians are not out fighting with our government to do more to stop Boko Haram because we will die in multitudes if we are invaded by the US. Instead we are willing to go out and protest the fuel subsidy removal mchewwww.

This is a Youtube discussion explaining the possibility of a future us Invasion

Romance / Re: Are SS & Igbo Women More Beautiful Than Yoruba Women? by Ikoteyogrl(f): 12:33am On Oct 10, 2011
This (alleged)YORUBA MAN posting hurtful things about his fellow YORUBA WOMEN  is a complete disgrace to his ethnic group and country. He has no loyalty for his culture or his country. This is coming from a woman that is from the South South region of Akwa Ibom. No Igbo or Efik/Ibibio woman will want a man that cannot respect his own culture because there is a strong likelihood that he may not respect her culture. Nigerian men and women are beautiful Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaws, Edo, Efik/Ibibio, etc,  Stop pitting people against each other and respect and love one another.

Food / Re: Nigerian Girls And Their Horrible Cooking by Ikoteyogrl(f): 5:30am On Aug 23, 2011
If you have a housewife then cooking for the house is part of her job. The husband works and the wife take care of the home. But the truth is that men and women are working now so they should both cook. I hope you do not expect your wife to come home from work to cook for you then you are on another planet. Any woman who's husband is so handicapped that he will starve than go in the kitchen and make himself a meal is headed down the divorce path. Men need to get it together, if you do not have a wife, who will cook for you sha.

Family / Abortion by Ikoteyogrl(f): 6:53pm On Jul 04, 2011
I've noticed around Nairaland that a lot of Nigerians perform abortions even young children. I'm curious is there any discussions in classrooms or families about any thing other than abstinence? ex: Protection (condoms, masturbation, birth control, IUD(Intrauterine Device). Is sex even discussed at all? I wonder as well if women and men are informed about what having one, or worse multiple abortion can have on a person's fertility?

Politics / Re: By 2050 The Population Of Nigeria Will Be 402 Million by Ikoteyogrl(f): 8:48pm On Jul 02, 2011
1. You cannot compare the landmass of India and China to Nigeria. One province in China is bigger than Nigeria alone. Nigeria will have to become a Japan to be able to sustain everyone of its people. When there is no more land they will have to start building up skyscrapers to contain its citizens.
2. Plus the only thing getting out of Nigeria is crude oil a raw material that will soon be obsolete . China and India are both industrial and agricultural so will be still relevant because of the Improvements in technology. Unless Nigeria become a force to be reckoned with in agriculture and/or industrial production, they are still going to be collecting welfare from the UN for all 400 million people.
3. We already know that the government cannot take care of its 100+ million already, what will happen between now and 2050 for the government to start caring. The western world already knows the potential disaster awaiting Nigeria in the future if it continues in this state while adding 5x more people.

Ignoring someone when there is an issue does not solve the problem you only prolong the problem
Like i said i know it does not work for everyone, but if i'm not talking to you, you'll know that you hurt me and a reasonable person will want to know what they did and how to fix it.

grin
I guess you can attack him, but that will just get your girlfriend fired. Maybe she could report him to his bosses or she could ask to transfer jobs. If she cant succeed in that then maybe she can change jobs. I just think that you two are in a lose lose situation because she cannot report him or sue him for harassment.
Politics / Re: By 2050 The Population Of Nigeria Will Be 402 Million by Ikoteyogrl(f): 2:06am On Jul 02, 2011
Lets hope that its can take care of all 402 million of its citizens. I would hope that the U.N. wouldn't be giving aid anymore and our dear country will no longer be have a third world country status.Oh well wishful thinking smiley

Talk with them and try to rectify the situation. I would address the situation immediately and let him know what he did to get the reaction i showed him. If its a repeat offense then i would ignore him until he apologizes. Its worked for me every time, but i know that is probably not how everyone does things.
