Adultery Allegation: I Received Instruction From God To Apologise To Apostle Suleman, Says Mike Davids

He alleged that Apostle Suleman slept with his wife while still in the ministry, then transferred her to Abuja, where she is now heading the church's branch.

Mike Davids has apologised to Apostle Johnson Suleman after accusing him of having sexual relations with his wife.

Recall that Mike Davids, a former pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, claimed that Apostle Suleman slept with his wife and threatened to make him "disappear".

He also alleged that the clergyman had stopped him from seeing his three children and threatened his life.

He further claimed that Apostle Suleiman cast a spell on his wife.

His wife, Pastor Edeko, had responded, saying that her husband's allegations are cheap blackmail.

She said it was Davids who walked out of their marriage and that she suffered so much abuse while she was still living with him. She said she even contemplated suicide, but her son stopped her.

Davids, however, said he had been on a "spiritual sojourn" and received instructions from the Lord to apologise to Suleman.

He referred to Apostle Suleman as "my father in the Lord."

He also apologised to Omega Fire Ministries and Apostle Suleman's wife. However, he didn't apologise to his estranged wife, who he accused of adultery

Politics / Don’t Finance Cattle Ranches In Ekiti, PDP Tells Fayemi by ilemz(m): 2:30pm On Mar 10, 2021
The Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on Governor Kayode Fayemi not to use the state’s funds for the establishment of cattle ranches for herdsmen.

The opposition party was reacting to the proposed plan by the government to set up ranches as a viable solution to stem the increasing waves of clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the state.

In a statement yesterday by the State Publicity Secretary, Raphael Adeyanju, PDP said though ranching for herdsmen was imperative but government should not use public funds for the creation.

It described cattle breeding as a private business being undertaken by everyone irrespective of ethnic affinity, adding that interested herdsmen should establish ranches on their own since open-grazing was no longer fashionable in the 21st century.

The party vowed to resist with available constitutional means any attempt by the governor to play politics with the destiny of Ekiti people because of his rumoured 2023 presidential ambition.

The statement reads,” The attention of Ekiti Chapter of the PDP has been drawn to the plan of the Fayemi’s government to create ranches for herders in Ekiti State. We can describe this as a welcome development as long as no government fund is expended on a private business.

“We in the PDP regard cow rearing as lucrative business. Apart the Fulani’s, many indigenes of Ekiti also engage in the business, they should be encouraged to engage in modern ranching.

“We are however opposed to Fayemis attempt to play politics with Ekiti destiny because of his inordinate ambition. He has no right to cede any portion of Ekiti to appease some troublesome elements of the society,” it added.
Politics / Cameroon Hands Over 5,000 Nigerian Refugees To Borno Governor by ilemz(m): 1:51pm On Mar 10, 2021
Returnees get new homes, food, cash

Cameroonian officials, led by the Minister for Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji, have repatriated and handed over the first batch of 5,000 Nigerian refugees to Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum.

The handover took place yesterday at a brief ceremony in Amchiide, a border community between Nigeria and Cameroon close to Banki in the Bama Local Government Area of Borno Central.

The returnees were part of thousands of Nigerians, mostly from Borno, who, since 2014, had fled in batches to Minawao Camp located in Mokolo, far North Region of Cameroon, to escape Boko Haram’s killings.

Many Nigerians, in uncertain numbers, though said to be more than 60,000 by some accounts, fled to the camp from parts of Borno and Adamawa States. But over the years, the number came down following isolated returns.

The handover ceremony was attended by top officials from Cameroon, including the governor of the far North Region, Midjiyawa Bakary and officials of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR).

The Cameroonian Minister for Territorial Administration, Paul Atanga Nji Paul, announced that President Paul Biya had approved a big relief package which included food items, mattresses, blankets and other non-food items for distribution to all the 5,000 returnees as support.

The minister commended Governor Zulum for constructing homes where the refugees would be resettled.

Governor Zulum had approved funds and supervised the ongoing construction of over 6,000 urban and low-cost resettlement houses sited in Banki, Gwoza, Kondugu, Kaga and different others, with a substantial number of them already completed.

The majority of them are used for the resettlement of refugees and internally displaced persons.

Zulum, on behalf of Nigeria, thanked the Cameroonian president, other officials and host communities for taking good care of Nigerian refugees in the last six years. The governor appreciated the donation made by President Biya.

“I wish to sincerely convey our deepest appreciation to the government of Cameroon under the distinguished leadership of President Paul Biya for the enormous support to my fellow Nigerians who took refuge in the Minawao [refugee] Camp. We remain eternally grateful”, Zulum said.

The repatriation was to implement the outcome of a tripartite commission meeting held in Marwa, Cameroon, on February 10, 2021, which was attended by officials from Cameroon, the UNHCR and a Nigerian delegation that comprised Governor Zulum and top officials from federal ministries of Foreign Affairs,

Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and IDPs as well as Zulum’s Special Adviser on Monitoring and Evaluation, who chairs a technical committee on the repatriation, Engr. Lawan Abba Wakilbe.

After receiving the refugees, Governor Zulum in Banki town flagged off the presentation of food and non-food items to the 5,000 Nigerian returnees.

Male heads of families were each given N30,000; while each woman was given N10,000 and a fabric.

The governor showed his sympathy for how they lived as refugees, assuring that his government was committed to their security, welfare and would create an enabling environment for them to return to normal life.

The state’s Commissioners for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Engr. Mustapha Gubio; Local Government and Emirate Affairs, Sugun Mai Mele and a former Commissioner for Housing and Energy, Babagana Tijjani Banki, were part of Zulum’s delegation.

Politics / Nigerian Soldier Arrested Supplying Ammunition, Uniforms To Bandits– Zamfara Gov by ilemz(m): 6:36pm On Mar 05, 2021
The government says the soldier and his girlfriend were caught supplying the materials to the bandits in Zamfara.

The Zamfara State Government on Friday said a Nigerian soldier and his girlfriend were recently caught supplying ammunition and military uniforms to armed bandits in the state.

The governor of the state, Bello Matawalle, represented by his deputy chief of staff, Bashir Maru, at a press conference, said the soldier was arrested by the military through community-driven intelligence.

He, however, did not provide more details of the alleged incident, saying the state government was waiting for the military authorities to do so.

“The military recently arrested an army officer and his girlfriend who were engaged in assisting bandits with military uniforms and ammunition in active connivance with other saboteurs. This arrest was only made possible through community-driven intelligence.

“While the state government awaits the action the military will take on this matter and make an official statement, the development has further proved the position of Governor Bello Mohammed that unless the fight against banditry is cleansed of bad eggs and saboteurs, we may not record the desired success in the fight.

“Let me use this medium to salute the courage and patriotism of the individual who came forward with information that led to the arrest of these traitors. Our gratitude knows no bounds,” the official said.

Earlier, the governor had, on several occasions, alleged sabotage in the fight against banditry in the state. He said the recent abduction of schoolgirls in Jangebe was politically motivated.

The students were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

“While the state was in negotiation with (the) abductors for the release of the schoolgirls, other persons offered money to the armed bandits to keep the girls in captivity,” the governor said.

The governor said he had relayed the information to the police and relevant security agencies for investigation.

The spokesperson, Defence Headquarters, Onyema Nwachukwu, did not responds to calls and text message seeking his comments on the latest allegation by the governor.
Crime / Soldier Tortures Boy To Death For Plucking Mangoes In Barracks by ilemz(m): 12:00pm On Mar 05, 2021
A 10-year-old boy has been tortured to death by a soldier at Hayin Banki, Kaduna North Local Government, Daily Trust has learnt.

The boy, our correspondent gathered, went into the Kotoko Barracks which shares a boundary with the community to pluck mangos from a tree.

The soldier was said to have followed the boy back to the community and detained him in the barracks where he tortured him to death.

According to a traditional leader in the community, the Sardauna of Hayin Banki, Malam Ibrahim Hassan Wuyo, “The boy who bears the name Muslim went into the Kotoko Barracks which shares a boundary with the Hayin Banki community to pluck mangos from a tree.

“The soldier queried why the boy came into the barracks and the boy was able to run away. The soldier then traced the boy back to the community; he took him back to the barracks and detained him. While he was torturing the boy, other colleagues warned him to release the boy but he refused.”

The Sardauna said due to the torture, the boy died and the soldier allegedly threw his body at Unguwan Kanawa community.

He, however, said, “The military have handed over the suspect to the police.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, who confirmed the arrest of the suspect, said an investigation had commenced into the matter.

Daily Trust reports that the corpse of the boy is still with the police.

Politics / Governor Ortom Commends President Buhari On Order Against Herdsmen Bearing Guns by ilemz(m): 10:59pm On Mar 04, 2021
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over his directive to security agents to shoot anyone illegally bearing AK47 rifle.

The Governor gave the commendation today at the Benue Peoples House Makurdi when the Chairman Governing Board, Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, Professor Adamu Kyuka paid him a courtesy visit.

Governor Ortom stated that the President’s order would reduce the level of criminality, banditary and militia herders' attacks on Benue communities as well as other parts of the country.

According to the Governor, the order would also make the communities safer for displaced farmers to return to their ancestral homes.

"I wish to commend Mr. President for his recent order against those bearing AK47 rifles. This I am sure will reduce the high rate of criminality, banditary and militia herdsmen attacks on our farming communities," the Governor stated.

He noted that President Buhari had done the right thing by listening to the calls he and other concerned Nigerians made on the need for the Federal Government to act faster and decisively to save the country from degenerating to a state of anarchy.

“I don't only criticise, I also commend where necessary. And I want to say shame on those psychopaths who were bashing me for writing to Mr. President because he has finally heeded my advice," the Governor noted.

Governor Ortom said Nigeria belongs to all its citizens and only justice and equity anchored on the rule of law could guarantee the unity and stability of the country.

I don't understand. How can you be walking around with cows messing up the whole place. Are these cows not for sale and are the herdsmen not making any money. Get a land and plan extensively on how to feed the cows.

Good move by the Gov. Obiano.
