I checked and this path requires me to assess my skills as a pharmacist. The fees is outrageous and the nearest center for the exam is Ghana. If there where other path with the exception of the school route, I go follow.
However, if there is any other path that will not require me to assess my skills, let me know. I appreciate your input sir.

That's the PR route for now. If a trip to Ghana is the price to pay, it is way cheaper than doing a masters program.
Masters leads to PR - and you will still do the same process as well.
Go through skill-assessment.

If you have the required skills, education and work experience, I reckon you should go for it and push for regional area to give you better leverage …or even remote area.

Good evening all, pls am having a very serious question. I noticed that the tuition fees of Australian University are on the high side. Ranging from 30k and above Australian dollar. How does one make payment for such high fees. Pls how do the people that got admission and paid there fees pass this hurdle. I am a pharmacist, and I want to go for Masters there. Is there any chances for PR there for me. I need answers from the experience ones cos this is very urgent.

Why don’t you go for Subclass 491
Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa -I know someone who applied and received this.
You can also try sponsorship visa.

Now if you insist on studies- yes you can afford it.
Would be strenuous but definitely possible.
Focus on paying the first tuition and your first 6 month living expenses.
Worse case, you can apply for a reduced work load after six months.

I haven't come across anyone discouraging people from studying in Australia. Everyone says make sure you have your first year tuition at hand. Yes, there are jobs in Australia but it took me almost a year to get a good paying job that could pay my tuition and that includes after asking for extension and in some cases taking out loans to meet up with the deadline despite my "good paying job". Do you want people to paint an unrealistic version of Australia and then get accused of lying ?
Just because ScoMo said that 750k jobs will be recovered doesn't necessarily mean it will in all sectors. Once people gets here they realise they are on their own and except you come across angels disguised as humans to help you in times of need, it will be really hard sometimes.
I think this all comes down to understanding what people wrote in the context they did and getting clarification where needed.

That's 100% true. .. I agree with you.

Essentially, when coming,plan ahead.

Even so, qyou get a job 3 weeks after you come, you need to generate an average of 11,000 for your 2nd semester tuition and for you to be able to work effectively, you would need a car.
Since its your first job, they require you to work on most jobs mornings which clashes with your class schedules. So it put more pressure on you and your academics in the first 2 or so months.

I am saying all this for some of you to have that mental picture and be able to plan ahead knowing this before hand and to be able to creatively find a solution if there's one. Not necessarily to discourage ...general awareness.
Many like me have passed through this hurdles before and doing much better now.

#My Perspective I am open to correction and more enlightenment

Well, it's an open fact that Coronavirus impacted all. Countries economy negatively and that's including Australia but it's also worthy of note that all state in Australia are doing pretty good(Perth even had a budget surplus from their 2020 allocated budget. I.e., more than enough money) with the exception of Melbourne which is just easing the recent lockdown and I actually read few hours ago or so that many folks in Melbourne flocked to the beach few days back without nose mask and following the covid 19 safety protocols or so.

Be that as it may, on the police remembrance day which happened last week, Scott Morrison said 750,000 jobs have been recovered and all states with the exception of Melbourne are doing great wrt bringing the lost jobs back.

Though, i am actually calm and looking to see what the 2021 budget that will be made public on the 6th October or so looks like to know and understand the next steps of Australia economy recovery.

the above points is just to show anyone reading that I'm doing my best to get informed about the economy situation.

Now, the bone of contention is about this tution fee stuff.

Taking myself for example, my tution fee for the 2yr program is over A$70,000 and its only the elite which is less than 10% of Nigerians can comfortably say they can afford to have the full tuition fees before going to Australia to study and huge part of those elite prefers to send their ward to the USA, Canada and the UK than Australia for the best reason known to them(i stand to be corrected, I'm just giving out a theory).

I don't find it comfortable when some people come in here to discourage us(myself included) from going to study in Australia because we don't have the full 2 year tution fee and I hope i have been able to clarify the question that's always popping up about having full tution fee before thinking of studying in Australia.

From experience, its not easy and its good to put in details what you have mentioned, the economy and other future projection. However, people say things from their perspective and I have had many people coming to my workplace (Humanitarian assistance) for help with accommodation due to homelessness.
70k fees is huge and perhaps find alternative source of income. For example. Doing freelance job as an IT consultant ( vitual assistance job).
The economy is growing back and healing. But remember that most of the Aussie recovery model focuses on the citizens first. Its the same country that the prime minister said student or foreigners can go home. I won't discourage you from coming. Its far better than US but think through the over 70+ fees along side if your Uni is full time or all days in the week.

God bless you to being truthful. I wonder why people still running here for study at this time. They should hold all the money needed for all their studies O.
Despite the Covid, I would say Covid for me has been a blessing in disguise. Yes, its not the best of times especially for some people. I worked at the Casino and was shut down, but I have other source of income going. BUT THEN AGAIN, I had 4 jobs and 3 on the line that I declined. Now, don't get it twisted, even though, I was lucky, so many people are still having issue getting a job.
The job market here in Australia is mostly about recommendation.
But never have the mindset like Lagos hustle, its not easy maintaining your time, studying at the same time and regulating your mental health. So in short, I encourage you to try. PREPARE FOR THE UGLY,BAD AND GOOD.

I am currently in Ukraine, I am planning of coming to Australia to do 1 year business certificate course after then i will apply to another 2 years program in any University/college so that i can get my two years post study permit.

Please is it a Good plan. I need advice for me on this journey?

Just go for your masters straight and check to see if you could get subsidised tuition in the form of scholarship. They are currently encouraging people to enrol and using that as a strategy to entice student. Dont waste your time doing 1 year diploma and going for 2 years again. Not worth it

Thanks for your input too. Yes, the date by which I must enter as specified on the visa grant is years from now. However, in asking for the deferment, I will ask the school for guidance on whether to inform home affairs or not.

Not necessary. So far they give you updated coe which is important. And u don't come to Australia I think few months to your actual start date. I think you should be fine. Right now, economy is crumbling and struggling as international student is top 5 source of income generation for Australia...

As of today in Australia, it is mandatory for everyone coming into Australia irrespective of the country to self isolate (stay indoors and away from people) for at least 14days. Failure to do this is a serious crime and consequences will follow.
How will you self isolate if you are just coming afresh and don't even have a place of your own yet?

My advise is this.
1. Get a deferment letter from your school till July.

2. Write to the home affairs office about your decision to postpone travel be particular about your inability to be able to self isolate for 2weeks if you get on board and attach an email of deferment from the university.

OR

You can still travel but be ready to be quarantined by the government for 14days as you will be deemed not to be able to self isolate as a new resident in Australia.

You would only have a problem at entry in July if the department is not aware of you deferment decisions. As long as they have your notice and acknowledge your decision through email, you have nothing to worry, you can as well print your email correspondence with the home affairs and that will be a proof at entry point in July.

Just email the school. You don't need to email home Affairs. The words in your visa states you must not enter after a date.so far the school gives u an updated COE... I don't think it's necessary to involve home Affairs ... I skipped mine and didnt inform no home affairs

dats a big lie.. Package ur visa application very well and a very strong SOP. Also be truthful to them about your refusal cos a lot finally get it after two or 3 refusal. N lastly pray n pray.

Try skuls in regional areas or say Tasmania .I think they need more people and student to come to those places so u have higher chances of getting visa.

I dont really know. Go to idp education website and scroll down to course search.type medical rrlated course or find out if its possible to do any course in advance medicine or paramedics.
Note: the website is for applicant in australia only.once u see the course you want.just talk to your agent in Nigeria.
The website is just east to search for course.that why i recommend it to you.

Pls House,am new here,Can A Medical Doctor apply for MSc in Biotechnology,
What other courses can he apply for that will enable the 2 yrs post study visa and increase the chances of PR..
Waiting for your professional advice..still confused..thanks and God bless Us all,Amen

It is better to research well yourself on the pathway to get PR and course you can do cos after coming here and seeing your fellow doctors getting 40 per hour just consulting, you will be tired i was having a discussion with a nigerian and she said most doctors first go to rurual areas where people don't like for 2 years or so.mind you it is not easy as he said, you might be the only black man in the entire community. Racism and many challenges but after a while, you will obviously leave and enjoy the city or better area shud you choose to leave.
Just consult well on various visa pathways aside education and if it is education, find a course related to your field which is just a year with possibility of doing placements

My agent said they aren't carrying out medical examination again in lag... Did you or has anyone here done medicals there recently?

Try and confirm yourself by using google and if they still doand there office address. i was told by my agent when i was doing mine that they won't accept it and she also advise me not to use them but obviously after i used them and was successful, she start to inform her other client. Most of the agent base there information on little research they do and experience .once any information is giving. Double check yourself

If indeed they are not in lagos anymore. Check the Australian visa website to check the list of accredited medical centre......

But what is white card, also, what does it cost to do first aid or aged care. The info you gave is not clear.

White card is more or less like HSE in nigeria.it is for induction into safety and health. To be aware of do's and dont and caution when working as construction worker, warehouse, factories and any other labour jobs...... that is even very vital yo have than first aid and you can easily get a job though stressful but it is for the main time

Do not rely on anyone, I repeat, do not rely on anyone here in aussie unless is your immediate family. Infact, no one is willing to take extra stress. Unless you are contacting people for directions or general questions, no body has time or money to give you. Come for your studies prepared and pray for a job.
Be careful with accomodation, certain people are just snitches and they smile to disguise. Trust God only. Pray pray and pray!!! Congrats to everyone. I was only lucky to get a job without the cert 111 and it took 2 months so you will need to be patient. When coming, bring money to registrr for individual support course(disability, age care, etc). It will assist you in getting a job. Do your first aid and CPR immediately, if you can drive a truck or forklift; great advantage. If you are still waiting for your grant, pray and trust Hod but in the meantime go and learn how to drive a forklift so when you come here yoy can apply for the test and license, then you start working immediately. Goodluck everyone.

Jobs to get without wasting 2 months are construction and landscaping jobs through agent.. i believe White card is more essential than first aid. With white card, you can get warehouse jobs. Factories. Construction and other labour job which you can easily save up to do age care course just like @ Amy described. finding age care course once you get there will take 2 to 3 month except on special cases......

And of course you can't rely on anyone.the terrain here is different but Nigerians need to show love..asians and kenya help each other but we have some Nigerians who likes to show off like they have been in Australia for a long time hence no new comer should be better than them....
But in all, we can only trust in God as this guy has said despite all issues ...............

Kindly profer how I can go about the sponsorship statement of account. I want to go with my spouse but to source for such statement of account within my immediate family members is difficult. I will appreciate any means of getting it in order to proceed to the next stage of my application in Australia.
Also help me to suggest best university where I can do MBA with cost ranges from 15k to 20 USD.
Thank you people!

Type idp education australia. Then go to course search and type. Mba.it.will give you list of different school and there fees.... its lot easier instead of checking one uni to another.however you cant make use of them except.if you are already in Australia.the idea is just to narrow down the list of schools and fees and intake date

please guys helep me out here...
someone with an "o" level cert that has genuine intention to study in Australia but doesn't have much so he opts for a college like vet school. he has an ielts overall score of 6.5 and it will expire by October(reasons because he was trying to make up some money) and so he is looking for a school with October intake. the gap between his "o" level cert and now is 4yrs. within the 4yrs he worked with a school as a childhood education teacher( nursery classes). Now he wants to apply for diploma of early childhood education and care in some schools . the first is Stanley college perth wa and the school said he'd have to study certificate iii( 52 weeks) first because its a preliminary to the diploma in their school. then after that, comes the diploma (52 weeks). and that it can be done as a package course, which is now 2yrs.
After studying the course, the person has a pathway to study nursing in CQU(university)
My question is, is it okay for him to go on with it as he would like to apply this week.

@ education courses,They are intense course which requires time and also you will be doing course work and teaching practice at the same. Entrance level i was told is very tough. Anyway what i am saying you need more time to work and at the same time study. So just check entry level first and seek agent advice as well base on the success rate of student intake.......

Hello everyone,
I just applied for masters in communication into the university of technology sydney. It's a 1.5 year programme, and I know that getting a PR in Australia is easier if you go for a 2years course. What I intend doing is to do a PhD after my masters or do another masters.
I dont know if my plan is the best one. I will really appreciate it if I can get some advice (either encouraging or discouraging me) and I will love to hear better options. Thank you.

You can switch overtime beside once you switch, you will get an advance credit on the courses you hsve done. Just make sure the course you switch to are related ....@ phd... duno but i guess skul go tire you when there is money to be made..just go ahead and when you get here.you will figure it out.one issue at a time......

did u submitt a statement of account with your application? I think you should get a written explanation from your employer confirming that u are paid cash. also upload an soa from your sponsor if u did not. The misconception is that AL1 unis dont require soa, altho thats written on dibp. The Co has the discretion to ask which he/she did. These COs are getting smarter by the day. All the best.

I don't think that will work....Consider a y other options and weigh them before making final decision......

Touched down Sydney, Australia in good health, Thanks be to God. Well I decided to start with the good news. I would have dropped this itinerary summary on Life as an immigrant, but I want everyone to take note. I was on the connecting: ABJ-IST-BKK-SYD. My major hurdle was crossing Istanbul, That airline and her airport staffs are bunch of .... In short let me say it. Goats! Firstly, I had a 17hours lay-off or stop over and at the nick of time just before boarding. I was told I cannot fly because the ignoramus does not have immediate resources to check for my visa. As if that was not enough, between 1.25am flight time and 10.00am. None of the over 200 staffs could verify my visa. I had to teach the Cows how to use VEVO. Eventually, it was verified and three idiots told me I need to book flight by myself, Na there I spark say Wetin you talk! In summary, I had to make them book a new flight for me. A 2.5 days journey became 4days for me. Take-home point: You might want to reconsider if you hope to take Turkish airline.

Another scenario, another lady wit kids have to fly back to Lagos from Istanbul because of the same ignoramus plus the fact that her connecting flight was Singapore, which needs a ttasit visa. What a waste! Pls, if your agent books Singapore as your connection, Call am fast make he retrace him steps oh. Na dead end.
Incase you still went ahead to book Turkish airline, on arrival to Istanbul, rush to 215 transfer desk to ensure your visa is verified. I have left a message that all Turkish airline staffs needs two things: English class and Reorientation. Let me drop miy mic before dem go find me come. Love you ALL

I used Turkey Airline to..was terrible though but i didn't verify my.visa since.it was a transit visa ......... but those.people are. Just semi racist...
