drstranged: The point is, why break up a relationship with a guy because he asked for sex, only to enter another relationship and give sex freely to the other guy without blaming him. Why break up with your first guy simply because he asked you for sex and you felt it was sinful to engage in sex with him, only for you to meet another guy and freely give him sex without finding that sinful or without condemning that new guy? Because every guy wants sex But every guy dont want d same quality nor quantity of sex |

mfm04622: Since the beginning, it is the spelling I have been complaining about! Spell Yoruba words the correct way. Same way you spell English words the correct way, notwithstanding the way they are pronounced! Oh okay I think why some people write it like that on the internet is to ensure the right spelling... I think thats even better than writing it in a way that will confuse the reader e. g why cant 'gel' be written just as it sounds 'jel' I think 'gel' should be pronounced as 'girl' is pronouncef but it's not |

mfm04622: How do we SPELL the sound? Is it "P" or "KP"?
We also make the sound "p"!
How do you pronounce Opopo (street)? Let's spell Yoruba words the way they should! Yoruba is very easy to write, let's not complicate it! U are talking about spelling how yoruba words are written /orthography/ Spelling and pronunciation soesnt always tally even in English e.g psychology, psalm, phlegm, philosopy... However letter p is written, it is pronounced /kp/ in yoruba. Yoruba phonology does not have the /p/ sound buy we have letter 'p' in our alphabet which is pronounced /kp/ The letter 'p' in Opopo is pronounced /kp/ However in some yoruba dialects like my mums village which i mentioned earlier, they have the /p/ sound Like Tope will not be pronounced as Tokpe but as Tope But language rules are not derived from local dielects because the same language will have different dialects So the rule is based on the standard language, same as the alphabets |

Not all corpers/graduates should be allowed to teach...
A good teacher is not an ordinary person
An ordinary person can not make a good teacher...
I am not saying they will have two heads, I was a teacher and...
I was coordinating the christain fellowship every friday 2pm to 4pm even tho I wasnt a serious christain nor religious but its not rocket science
They knew I could do it and i did beyond my own expectations. It was a responsibility.
A teacher just have to be serious about the job, if you are tired, leave immediately.
I did before I go fvck up, I no longer wanted kids to see me as their mentor, I just want to live my own life like their parents do too |

Mariangeles: The Yoruba language is quite broad. There's a name for almost everything in Yoruba. Language is a phenomenon If yoruba or a language doesn't have a name for something, it usually means that thing was not part of that culture Like if u dont have a name for pawpaw, its because there was no pawpaw in your vicinity and u have never seen one... It was introduced into that clime So u can borrow the name another language calls it or u improvise or agglutinize... I am a linguist, dear |

Ibepe /ibekpe/ in standard Yoruba
In Ekiti including Akure it is ubepe /ubekpe/ or ubepe /ubepe/ like the 'p' here is pronounced like the p in police, pawpaw. Thats how its called in my moms village.
It is also known as 'ogolomosi' among older generations in rural Ekiti |
