Just learnt today that one of the commanders that Hamas facilitated the release of was a Samaritan (a branch of Judaism). He's essentially a Palestinian Jew
He was one of the commanders of the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP, which is the most hard-line Palestinian Resistance group
They're more hard-line than Hamas and Islamic Jihad and are a communist/Marxist group. They're so hard-line, that they reject acknowledging israel's existence, negotiating with israel and believe Israel must be completely eradicated only through armed violence
The group, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine was founded by a Christian Palestinian George Habash and is one of the eight Resistance groups fighting in Gaza
His name is Nader Saleh Mamdouh Sadaqa, a native of Nablus in the West Bank and this is his quote on why he fights:
"Military action was not my choice, but the choice of the stage (of the Palestinian struggle) – that stage in which we sought to express ourselves, and defend our convictions, principles, and the rights of our people,” Sadaqa was quoted by Al-Jazeera as saying

Bearing in mind that the same Nazi Germany targeted Christian groups like the protestant, j. Witness, Catholics etc who were against his ideals and ideologies
Everyone knows that Nazism has nothing to do with religion The bolded is answered in the link

Obedience40: Permit me to drop this quote "We all look but see differently"
When I look at the definition of "Genocide, i see no similitude between the definition and actions taken by the IDf in Gaza. There's simply no correlation nor justification for the genocidal claims.
Now, don't get me wrong, the IDF didn't cover herself with glory throughout the military operations, Certain war crimes were committed, throughout history no military apparatus is immune from this, when there's a large scale military operation especially in Urban areas. War crimes are bound to be committed by combatants.
Some over zealous idividuals from the IDf acted unilaterally against "the code of conduct" expected from being a member of the Israel defense force and orchestrated certain acts many of which were held accountable by the higher echelons in the Jewish military.
The key here is "Perception", and whatever influences our perception!!
What you perceive as "Genocide" via the legal framework that gave the definition for the term Genocide doesn't work in the situation in Gaza.
"We all look but see differently." You once said Hitler was right about the Jews. That's your perception!
The same reason why a fella shoodboi2 whose thinking faculties i want to believe are functioning optimally will call a mastermind terrorist and mass murderer Sinwar a hero!!
P.s Regarding the sitting arrangement for the last meeting in Egypt, there's no picture nor info to portray the negotiators set in opposite direction as we have been accustomed to with the Ukraine and Russia meetings. If you have any piece of information to further give credence to your assertions, it will be nice. Jerusalem (AsiaNews) – “ At 2:00 am, all of the participants in the negotiations entered a large room with tables and chairs set up in a square. The Israeli delegation sat directly across from the Hamas delegation. This was the first time in history that official Israelis and officials from Hamas sat in the same room. The deal was signed and now we have to wait for its full implementation. And now we can begin to breathe again.” Gershon Baskin, an Israeli political activist, founder of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI), a former columnist for the Jerusalem Post, and a leading expert on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, is among those who worked in recent months to reach the agreement signed overnight by Israel and Hamas. https://www.asianews.it/news-en/For-the-first-time,-Israel-and-Hamas-in-the-same-room-to-reach-a-truce-in-Gaza-64038.html

obedience4: Just a simple question thou' Where you there when the last negotiations were done?? How did you know they sat face to face??🤣
Israel and Hamas have both sent negotiators to Qatar before. The recent meetings in Egypt wasn't the first sit down between both parties, it won’t certainly be the last!!
All wars ends on the negotiation table with some sort of agreements and the Gaza war won't be an exception.. Even your "saviour" Putin would also sit or send teams to negotiate the end of the Ukraine war..That's how it works!! Stop trying to paint a false picture dude, I can clearly see the sadness written all over your post
You guys have been screaming genocide for a long time, You people have made it a full time job to outline the destruction of lives and properties in Gaza, now that a ceasefire aggrement is now in effect and a real chance for peace, but guess what?? it is "peace makers" that are wailing all over the Internet!!!
Anyways, like someone said earlier Hamas "won" the war and Israel "lost" the war.. Yours is Israel was subdued into making the agreement.
"Whatever rocks your boat" my friend is welcome by me. Las Las una go dey alright Why quote me just to add nothing on any point I made? Literally the only thing worth responding to, is your questioning if they sat face to face. My answer is do your research, previous negotiations were done indirectly even if they were at the same venue, this time it was direct, with both sides in the same room I don't need to scream genocide, it has a legal definition, codified as the Genocide Convention or more formally, the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG)Nowhere in my post did I use the terms victory or defeat, because it's pointless to do so. The reality is that the fact that a genocide took place in our lifetime, is a loss for humanity already. The only win would be to eradicate genociders and their cheerleaders, until then, humanity has a collective shame to bear |

I think israel's bombing of Qatar had something to do with Trump's resolve for a ceasefire this time around
From all reports, the war criminals only notified the US after they had taken flight, likely to ensure air defenses were shut off and to avoid any possible US objections by forcing their hand
The Qataris were likely informed just before the attacks and they relayed same to the Hamas team which saved their lives, though it did achieve some fatalities
That singular miscalculation by the warmongering racist war criminals alarmed Trump, because it directly undermined US interests and it showed that netanyahu and his clan had become like mad dogs due to being unchecked
Trump realized he had to put a leash on his ally who had become a rabid dog, a danger to everyone including himself. Hence, the need for a halt to hostilities became critical
That explains the over-compensatory actions of the US towards not just Qatar, but the Gulf countries in general. Trump has even struck a more conciliatory tone with Iran lately
The reality is that the damage has already been done. The Gulf countries have seemingly realized that going forward, they cannot completely hedge their bets on only the US as they've become accustomed to and that explains why Saudi Arabia was so spooked, that they quickly signed a defence pact with Pakistan, solidifying what had been an unwritten agreement between the two for years, to come to the other's aid incase of an emergency. Though it's mostly a one-sided responsibility of Pakistan to Saudi, what had mostly entailed an understanding to deliver nukes in the event of Iran acquiring them, has now developed into a more comprehensive military setup, due to America's perceived unreliability
On the ceasefire itself, it's too early to judge. There's uncertainty as to it's holding and negotiations are still ongoing, but the idea of destroying Hamas has proven to be wishful thinking
In this last round of talks, Hamas negotiators sat in the same room as their israeli counterparts, facing each other eyeball to eyeball and reached an agreement. Previously, they never met each other. That must have been a very bitter pill for the israelis to swallow, because not only did they fail to defeat them like they promised, they had to be in the same room as them, negotiate with them and agree with them, to achieve some of their goals. This is all the more humiliating when you factor in the fact that israel had declared open season on all Hamas heads and yet they ended up subduing themselves before them to get a deal. Of course, it's not all down to Hamas, but they never bowed down and they still remain consequential
One thing's sure though, this utopian Trump dream of a kumbaya Middle East is likely a pipedream. There may be some semblance of quiet for the remainder of Trump's tenure, but the future is loaded with cheques that are yet to, but waiting to be cashed. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Russia-Ukraine War: World News, Weapons & Battlefield Discussions - Live by IMEI: 10:17pm On Oct 04, 2025 |
LordAdam16: Turkey always like to insert themselves into consequential developments. That's their trademark.
That's how they claimed they warned Iran about the start of the 12D war, but the warning went unheeded. That new lamba is par for the course.
Hamas has hardly moved from their positions. It's Satanyahu that has had his leash yanked. Hamas could have released all the prisoners in exchange for ending the war by this time last year. Satanyahu has been the roadblock. Flouting ceasefires. Refusing to send negotiators. He had thought he could defeat Hamas militarily and unilaterally impose a new reality. That gamble has led to a dozen+ more recognitions, a UN genocide conclusion, and unprecedented isolation.
And at the end of the day, we're at the same spot we'd have been at a year ago with Trump asking for Hamas approval of Israeli withdrawal maps. Little wonder why a new Israeli poll is showing that the vast majority disapprove of Satanyahu's handling of the war. The demon has f*cked Israel in ways words can express.
-Lord Someone on this thread said that Hamas will be defeated by January next year...inorder not to seem cowardly I'll mention the individual: Lawag3 One thing that media hasn't really covered indepth is the growing schism between the military leadership and political leadership of israel...the idf heads had repeatedly told netanyahu that defeating Hamas was impossible, but he ignored and pressed on. Apart from that, there's a growing number of conscientious objectors as well as a growing suicide rate in the soldiers' ranks that they're blaming on netanyahu and co This is coupled with the fact that the US is evermore struggling to cope with its debt burden and continuous funding for the genocide, along with Ukraine. Plus the political pressure from both sides of the aisle i.e. the left and right who are growing more and more frustrated with the war(genocide), means there's pressure on Trump to rein in netanyahu, or at least hands off israel Turkey is unique in that the forces within the country won't allow it to swing one way or the other and that explains why they're two faced a lot of the time. On one hand, there're forces for more European integration and on the other, forces for Middle East primacy I'm not excusing Erdogan but he's engaged in a balancing act to ensure he has legs to stand on |

Vl3ly: 🇹🇷🇵🇸🇮🇱⚡- "The Turkish pressure on Hamas is what broke the real balance. Turkey made Hamas agree to return all prisoners at once," - i24, citing an Arab source. Hamas has been offering to release the prisoners for a long time now in exchange for an end to the war and full withdrawal of israel They even agreed to Biden's plan, but guess who made an about turn? You guessed it, the war criminals Matt Miller, the former US Department of State spokesperson, admitted in an interview last month that israel was responsible for sabotaging previous ceasefire efforts, contrary to what he claimed when he was on the job Prior to that, in an earlier interview, he admitted that israel had been committing war crimes in Gaza, despite his public denials when he was on the job |

I'm looking into your claims along with another female journalist on Instagram. But everything we've seen so far from pro hamas media silence on the flotilla aid, the sizes of the boats in the flotilla being too small to carry meaningful aid and the irrationality of Israel throwing away aid seems to indicate that there was no aid on the flotilla. Let me keep an open mind and look up your claim. Look at who's questioning someone's reasoning You can't reason beyond Hamas on anything, even where it concerns them not The fact that you think Hamas' existence justifies everything israel does or says, just shows the shallowness of your reasoning...like some kind of pre-programmed bot, a telltale sign of propaganda |

They are all preoccupied accusing Israel of talking the flotilla occupants "hostage". The fact that you think you've made a rebuttal is headshakingly laughable The Sumud flotilla isn't the first, there have been several and all of them carried aid and were hijacked by the israelis...in each of those cases, the focus was on the occupants taken hostage Everyone knows the war criminals won't give the Palestinians the aid...with regards to links, I've already mentioned Tadhg Hickey's YouTube page, you can go and check |

The most stupid of all israeli propaganda threads made it to frontpage and I'm not even surprised
The thread claims that the Sumud flotilla had no aid in it. That might have been believable, had the occupants of the said flotilla not documented the journey every step of the way
The people in the flotilla literally recorded the journey and broadcast to the world from inception to interception. They showed the aid they had taken to deliver to Gaza and even documented their daily routine aboard
It's clear that israeli propaganda(hasbara) relies on the stupidity and ignorance of its targets
As for israel claiming there's no aid onboard, it's in keeping with their scum selves to deny the existence of aid, since they've been starving Gaza of aid all along
I personally follow an Irish comedian Tadhg Hickey on YouTube and he was aboard the flotilla. He had personally documented their journey and shown all the supplies they were carrying. He's among those detained by the war criminals |

I am getting sick of your emotional arguments.
