Ebonyi is actually poor. But I have two questions. 1. What percentage of poverty alleviation funds or programmes by the federal government gets to Ebonyi State? 2. What is the Common Entrance Examination cut-off mark for Ebonyi State? Do the comparisons if you still doubt the glaring tribalism and marginalisation that the East faces in Nigeria. Meanwhile, those who use Monday sit-at-home order to mock the East are disappointed here as Enugu, Anambra, Abia and Imo are not on the list. They even published that the sit-at-home order has crippled the economy of the East. Cruzmaster:Be realistic. Ebonyi is a very young State. Ebonyi, Enugu and Anambra were together as one State. During that period, development was focused more on Enugu as the state capital. This also explains why Enugu is more developed than Anambra despite the fact that Anambra has richer people. Enugu and Ebonyi were later carved out to coexist as one State and they remained together as such for some years before Ebonyi was carved out of Enugu. |
All I can say is, "Chai!!!". |

Miles are not counted before the race. It is not a political race that requires campaign promises. Elect a new Pope and we shall witness his leadership. |
Some things you wrote here are not true. Impregnated females students drop out of school because childbirth is naturally designed to withdraw women from their various activities for a while. It is the same way even married women stop their businesses or works to look after their babies for a while. After nursing the babies, nobody stops those girls from returning to school. The last two points should not be here at all. The relocation of a family because of a job transfer is usually not based on the gender of the transferred member but based on whose job sustains the family most. Any man that competently and legitimately rises to the position of CEO is acknowledged and praised, likewise any woman that rises to the same level in the same manner. Any man that uses dubious means to get to the level of CEO is mocked, likewise any woman that does the same. The other things you stated happen because we live in a fallacious world that practises double standards. |
[quote author=PresidObi post=135224275But that is wrong. And I think she's a stranger to them, compare her to the woman they campaigned for the husband, voted for and swore in to rule them. She's a stranger.[/quote]Two wrongs do not make a right. A stronger is someone unknown, not someone known. Disliking someone doesn't make the person a stranger. |
Describing her as a stranger is morally wrong. But it is alleged that the organisers mischievously used the identity of the state governor's wife to lure the women to the event. |
Akpaamunsi:You are the one in severe pains. You are hurt by the truth. |
It is not because of societal pressure for marriage. It is not because of biological clock. It is because of laziness and materialism. Most of those women that show desperation for marriage are not even willing to show the commitment required in marriage. They just want to wear wedding gowns, have a bridal train that is longer than River Niger and stay under a man who will suffer day and night to provide all their needs. Remove the show off at weddings and the entitlement of material benefits in marriage, and many of those women will run from marriage. You think they do wedding for the meeting on purpose of wedding. But they have no regard for the meaning and purpose of wedding. If you remove expensive reception halls, expensive wedding gowns, bridal shower and bridal trains, 90% of women will kick against wedding. It is the same way many women prefer a marriage proposal from an irresponsible man in a shopping mall to a marriage proposal from a responsible man in a private place. |
There are good single mothers and there are bad ones. The things you pointed out here are not what differentiates a responsible single mother from irresponsible single mothers. A single mother is irresponsible if she became a single mother in any of the following ways: 1. If she was up to the age of 20 before allowing a man to use marriage to impregnate and dump her, she is an irresponsible single mother. This is because on average, women are more calculative and selective than men of their age when it comes to relationships. In relationship matters, a twenty-year-old woman is wiser than a twenty-year-old man. 2. If she became a single mother at or after the age of 20 because she tried to use pregnancy to trap a man into a marriage, she is irresponsible. 3. If she became a single mother because she left an abusive marriage but she was up to the age of 20 before she willingly chose to marry the man, she is irresponsible. On average, women are experts in teasing men just to test the men's temperament. So, any woman that was up to the age of 20 before marrying an abusive man is a gold digger who prioritises material things or orgasm over safety and internal peace. 4. If rape made her a single mother after the age of 19 and the rape happened because she followed someone to an obviously dangerous place in the name of catching fun, she is irresponsible. 5. If she was up to the age of 20 and a sugar daddy made her a single mother, she is irresponsible. A woman can be considered good and responsible if she was not up to the age of 20 when any of the 5 ways listed above made her a single mother. On a general note, a woman who is an innocent victim of rape can be considered a responsible single mother even if she was up to the age of 30 or 40 when the rape happened. Innocent, in this case, means she did not contribute to the rape incident. For example, if kidnappers or armed robbers attacked and raped her. I am not talking about any mature woman that followed a man to his house and he laced her drinks or food. |
The bot banned me because of a comment I made.

Many will say I am heartless. But I will voice out the truth. What happened to her is caused by desperation. The fact that a Masters program was her purpose makes no difference. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Applying for VISA in the manner she did has nothing to do with the hardship in Nigeria. Many that live comfortably in Nigeria display the desperation at higher levels. Some who are multi millionaire sell their properties to relocate. Many that suffer in Nigeria are not desperate to leave the country. I believe the desperation is caused by peer pressure, not by the economy of Nigeria. Many people are poor to the extent that they cannot save any amount of money from their NYSC allowances. Yet, they are not desperate to leave Nigeria. This one could save all her NYSC allowances because she has other sources of income. Yet, she desperately wanted to leave Nigeria. Nothing makes her case special or unique, whether she used 1% of her savings or the whole savings. After all, people sell properties for the same purpose. In her case, she didn't say she sold her properties. |

I am not a sentimentalist. Therefore, I do not judge what I do not understand. So, I have two questions for you to answer before I form an opinion about your situation. 1. How legitimate or concrete was the process of you getting the federal job promise? Answer this very question if your ways are pure. If you dodge this question, it means you deserve the failure of the federal job plan. 2. Did you follow ethical processes in resigning from your former job? Or, did you just abscond from the job? |
Her desperation for marriage seems to be the secret of her love for you. Marry when you are willing and capable, not because you are being pressured. She is waiting on you for marriage because she has not found another man that meets her requirements. But you might think that she is rejecting good men for your sake. A woman who is desperate for marriage goes into it with a man not because she loves him nor because he loves her. She goes into the marriage because he is ready. If she is yours, she will not be able to find another man until you are ready to marry her. If she finds another man now that you are not ready, she is not yours. Don't ask her to wait for you. What if she waits and you later choose another person? |
Na why dem dey avoid statistics. |
Each university will get 6,111,111,111.111111 Naira. That is, if the money has not been looted. It is less than the solar budget for the presidential villa. It shows how they set their priorities. But half bread is better than none. |
Like Nigeria like NNPC. |
Let the shameless JAMB try to defend itself here again. |
Celebrity King. |
Seun:Please, when will "Edit History" feature be activated on Nairaland? I think a dislike button will be more effective than the block feature. |
So, the verification that should start by 6:30 AM is not part of the exam? Or, that one is not being conducted by the same JAMB? Or, is the verification optional? How can you schedule the compulsory verification for 6:30 AM and try to claim that you are not mandating candidates to get to their centers by 6:00 AM? Only fools will consider you logical. JAMB admitting that it scheduled verification to start by 6:30 AM proves Obi right. |
Your story is engaging and educative. |
So, nobody that did not take the vaccine died before the Pope? The Pope died at the age of 88. How many people who avoided the vaccines lived up to 88 years? The vaccines arguably have side effects and may have resulted in deaths. But linking it to the death of the Pope is childish. Anyways, I did not click on the video link. I don't know if the pastor said that vaccine killed the Pope. I have no need to attempt confirming whether the pastor said anything. |
Wow! |
Migration to solar energy is good. But I think 10b Naira is too much for the project. |
CrisNews:Take her as she is or dump her. Confrontation in this case is childis and useless. She tagged him probably because she feels that her present condition is beyond what he expects from her. So, bragging or teasing is probably her intention for tagging him. And if I am right about her intention, she is a bitter soul. She didn't tag him with an intention to get back with him. If getting back with him was her intention, she would not have tagged him on public posts because she knew you would see the posts. She would have secretly found a way to reconnect with him. |
A consolidated structure. I remember the movie titled, "The Young Pope" |
