Nairaland GeneralRe: How to Legitimately Relocate to Canada from Nigeria in 2024 by ImoleNaomi: 1:49pm On Sep 10, 2024
Good day everyone,

Please I need help in 2 area before starting this journey and I would really appreciate if you can help me through.

1) My dad and mum separated when I was at the age of 8, my dad relocated then with another woman to Canada then (now a Canadian) and while filling the family form, he used the woman as my biological mother. Although they are divorced now and he is married to another person. He specifically told me I need to use the woman as my birth mother but I'm really worried because of my real mother. Does that mean I won't include my real mom name in the form( my mum still bears my dad surname because she did not remarry) I'm really worried for my mother because she suffered on us, getting this information really broke my heart.
Please is there any other way to go about it? Probably stating her as step mother or so.
I don't want to complicate things for my dad too because I was told they would also visit his own application which will contradict mine if I declare my mum.
I am really confused.

2)While my dad was also filling the form, he made a mistake in my date of birth, instead of 10/1993 he wrote 08/1994.
He told me to go and change it Abuja because i already have a passport that it would be difficult for him to change it over there.(I have changed it)

Here is my question sir
I applied for US visa last year which I was denied. I used the password of 1993 to apply and now I have changed it to 1994.
Since US and Canada share data base I'm scared of what to say to the reason why my date of birth changed.
What can I do in this situation sir.

Should I not declare my Dad in the application because this is really tough for me not to include my mom.

I hope you hear from you soon sir.
Thank you
