S O S READY TO SERVE AND GIVE IJEBU IGBO COMMUNITY PROPER REPRESENTATION After rain comes sunshine; After darkness comes the glorious dawn. There is no sorrow without its alloy of joy; there is no joy without its ad-mixture of sorrow. Behind the ugly terrible mask of misfortune lies the soothing countenance of prosperity. So, let's tear the mask My beloved indigenous citizens of Ijebu Igbo. I bring to u, warm greetings from our political chamber. Ijebu Igbo has been blessed with talented and resourceful leaders in the past, present and undoubtedly, future. I have personally taken my time to observe how events unfold and i would be right to say our people at the grass root level are tirelessly working for the emergence of a candidate of their choice; but in the end, what they get is "zero". Behold, i bring to you the man who knows what effective grass root representative means, Sunday Onabanjo Sobowale. He has been a long time admirer of a political post in order to alleviate his people from the current " political loss" they are suffering from. He is a visionary leader who is not just concerned about infrastructural development but even, the well being of the entire people of his hometown. Have you ever wondered why people from Ijebu Igbo are still lagging behind in terms of effective representation at the Ogun State House of Assembly ![]() The answer to that is not far fetched from the usual invasion of foreign politicians who sees politics as a means of alternative business to enrich their pockets. They don't know YOU, they know ME not! They romance and override our intentions with their money and later turn their back at us. They believe in using what they have to get what they want, no strings attached. They can even hardly mention the 36 states in Nigeria with their capitals because they spent most of their lives abroad. If we fold our arms and watch things go astray, the incoming generation will never forgive us. You and I must agitate for true effective grass root representation so that we can benefit from the dividends of democracy. No man climbs the ladder of success with his two hands in his pockets. He has spent nearly his entire days in the town where he was born (Ijebu Igbo). He has been an active member of PDP from inception, as he once served as ward Vice-Chairman,ward Chairman of Oke Sopen respectively and his records then are highly regarded. Until the arrival of Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu, who had been busy rewarding the masses of their previous sufferings in politics and remoulding the face of the town by initiating several infrastructural projects, Ijebu Igbo might not have been a better place for its habitants. A pragmatic leader like SOS would be a better choice for the people, come 2019. SOS 2019, a promise that must be fulfilled !! SOS I know, SOS I trust !!! |
THE ADEBUTU'S OTA KILLING: I'VE DEMONSTRATED MY LAW ABIDING NATURE. I've today been inundated with calls by journalists seeking clarifications over falsified narratives of the unfortunate but avoidable killing of an innocent citizen by Ladi Adebutu's security men at Ota yesterday. Most importantly, I sincerely commiserate with the family of the deceased over the painfully irreplaceable loss. It's nauseating that this dastardly act could be traceable to the conduct of those that seek to govern. May God grant the family that fortitude to bear the aching loss resulting from unguided exuberance by people of unearned eminence.. It's now public knowledge that on 29th June, my gubernatorial declaration at Ota was threatened by some suspected thugs. Despite the annoying provocation and attempt at eroding my fundamental rights, I endured. I refused to be pushed by unguided reflex to embrace chaos and breach of the peace despite the presence of my private police escorts; by promptly alerting the Nigerian police high command. It's on record and must be appreciated that the police responded swiftly and arrested what could have resulted, like this Adebutu's case, into multiple life losses and injuries. As is to be expected of law abiding citizens and importantly that of one given to subordination to the rule of law; I made formal report and fully assisted and supported police investigations leading to the arraignment of the suspects in court. I have thus fulfilled my responsibility as a good citizen by bringing presumed offenders within the arms of the law rather than encouraging crime under the pretences of politics. I'm aware that an accused is presumed innocent until otherwise proved in the courts. Consequently, I was certain that those accused would be admitted to bail which the court expectedly did. Normally, this issue shouldn't have involved Ladi Adebutu save for myopic political exploitation. Furthermore, it's very difficult for people with honour and integrity to flaunt giving assistance and/or backing to people accused of life threatening misdemeanours. When unavoidable, such assistance is extended discretely or through proxies. For Ladi Adebutu to turn the flaunting of such dishonourable gesture into life termination is highly unbecoming. Ridiculously, to now be linking such to me and my allies over a phantom assassination attempt is most unfortunate. This makes it imperative for the public to searchlight the characters that should be allowed to get into power and generally, positions of public authority administration. Since "the proficiency of a tool emanates from the mender"; I believe the conduct of Ladi's private securities is a function of his mien as their master, as it's him they would seek to impress. His dispositions to civil conducts prior to that incident, would invariably have reflected on the public carriage of those he controls. I have absolutely nothing to do; remotely or covertly, with the Adebutu's Ota killing. I deservedly, as of consequence, seek to be excused from this infamous story. One can only hope that this unfortunate occurrence would endear Ladi and his cohorts to a better and sober comportment, at least in public. Unlike as is the case for financial inheritance, inheriting good virtues have conditionality of self inputs. I'm not desperate by nature and this gubernatorial aspiration of mine is no exception. Mine is genuinely an offer to serve. Being a self made man with reliance on the grace of God and His endowments, my aspiration is predicated on qualifying capabilities for the job and not conceived in self aggradisement to latch on any inheritance. I bear responsibilities and know the odds of reckless indulgences. PSS.

2019: Gale of defections hit Ogun APC This may not be the best of times for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State as no fewer than 30 members of the party defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday in Ilaro district, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State. This is coming a day after about 20 members of the APC from the same local government defected to the PDP ahead of the 2019 general elections. The defectors, who were led by Chief (Mrs.) Kolawole Wosilatu, said their defection was informed by Senator Buruji Kashamu's leadership attributes. "We moved from the PDP to the APC few months ago. But today, after taking a close look at the prevailing political situation, we have decided to return home. We are back in PDP for good; we have seen the difference. The APC is not reliable; we cannot remain in a party where favouritism and selfishness reign supreme. It is evident that APC cannot move us forward. We are tired of the hardship being inflicted on us by the APC," she said. Wosilat said they were encouraged by the relentless efforts of the PDP leadership to get them back to the party. Receiving the defectors on behalf of the Ogun State PDP Chairman, the State Coordinator of Omoilu Foundation, Mr. Leke Shittu said the PDP was being restructured from the ward level to the state level in order to be well positioned for future challenges. |
OGUN PDP PRESS STATEMENT DOYIN OKUPE'S EXIT FROM PDP IS NON-ISSUE AND GOOD RIDDANCE The attention of our Chairman, Engr. Adebayo Dayo and the State Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun state, has been drawn by the party executives of Ward 3, Iperu in Ikenne local government, to the news that of its supposed members, Dr. Doyin Okupe, has rescinded his membership of the PDP. Let it be quickly stated that it is a welcomed development and no one will begrudge him for such a personal decision that has no immediate or long term effect on the fortunes of the party, both in Ogun state and nationally. A political party is a choice-based association where there is free entry and free exit. Whereas, his choice should not ordinarily elicit any reaction from us as his exit is of no consequence whatsoever, to the progress of our party and no one will miss him for any fundamental ideology and value, we are constrained however, to address two of the grounds on which he hinged his self-serving decision. This is important because he misrepresented facts and purports to embarrass the party with wild and unpatriotic remarks, that have now become his unmistakable trademarks. When an elder does not know the limits of talking, he is bound to goof irredemably. Okupe in his distasteful statement noted that the future of the party may not be significantly affected whichever way the impending judgement of the Supreme Court goes. We find this unfortunate because it shows that he is one of those who do not mean well for the party and would rather wish that the stalemate continues; that people like him may continue to feed on the crisis. It is shameful that at a time when relevant stakeholders such as governors, senators, the BOT, members of NEC and loyal members across Nigeria, have resolved to forge ahead as one indivisible Party, irrespective of the Apex court decision, an Okupe is a lone voice, steeped in negativity and backwardness. Secondly, he alluded that the party in Ogun state is 'irredemably factionalised'. We again regard this as fallacious, malicious and a figment of his jaundiced imagination. Let it be stated for the umpteenth time that the leadership in Ogun state is incontrovertible and sacrosanct. Contrary to his claim, our members are united and working hard towards electoral success in 2019. That some people with pretensions to be members of our party who have ulterior motives, decided to form a 'social group' to push the personal ambition of their sponsors - does not translate to factionalisation and we will not allow Okupe, by his uncouth pronouncements, legitimise the abberant and rebellious activities of these persons. More importantly, the legitimacy of our executive has been affirmed by extant constitutional documents, several court judgements and more loudly by both Sheriff and Makarfi leaderships at different times. Even when the Supreme Court eventually delivers its verdict in whichever direction, it will not in any way invalidate the status quo in Ogun state as the fundamentals that established the executives is not congruent to the national leadership tussle. Deriving from the above, it pertinent to note that, any individual or deviant group, with the vague hope that a purported Makarfi victory will confer legitimacy on them in Ogun state, must be living in animated delusion. It is therefore ridiculous that Okupe, who has adequate knowledge of the processes that established our executives, has now chosen to wallow in illusions and embrace lies in the face of naked truth. Dr. Okupe has also proven himself to be pathetically unreliable and only profits from the system, as he pointedly confirmed in his own statement. He has never been part of any effort to resolve crisis within the party whenever such arises. Since his days in NRC he has been a serial contestant without victory and always positioned to reap where he did not sow via serial federal appointments and contracts. He has been very shifty and not one who stands to be counted in the face of challenges. He has again elected to run away and abandon other well-meaning leaders in the ongoing reconciliatory efforts. We are not going to miss him and we urge the general public to disregard the vacuous rationalisation of his latest self-seeking adventure. For an Abuaja-based politician, who is unknown at his Iperu Ward 3, who has not offered any valuable participation at Ikenne local government talk less of the State and Zonal levels of the PDP, his departure is long overdue. It is a non-issue and good riddance. Contrary to a dooms day prophet like Okupe, the PDP shall overcome it's challenges and bounce back to provide credible alternative to Nigerians. Signed: Bolaji Adeniji State Publicity Secretary, Ogun PDP. |
IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO MOUTH THE CHANGE..... In reference to the self-serving release by Gboyega Nasir Isiaka GNI this morning, I submit that in every sincere offer to serve the people should be the realisation of the inalienable democratic right of those people to say NO!!! One needs not become a desperate career candidate at all elections for any reason safe selfish. That successive govts have failed to transform our enormous human and natural resources into socio-economic advancement of the people is empirical. It's embarrassingly staring us all in the face. From those who partook in peripheral executive governance of Ogun State having freely "abandoned staying put in the private sector etc etc" to those that were in bankrupt professional practice before now making multi-billions as our governor; it's been a catalogue of public trust betrayal and disservice to the people at varying degrees of greed, callousness and shear insensitivity to the plight of our people. In all cases, these traitors to public trusts had been better than when they came into the government of Ogun State. Our people have generally not been better than how they met us!!! We have had enough of mouthing to effect the changes in our leadership deliberately inflicted underdeveloped and socio-economic depression. What we need now is actually to make the overdue change for better and the universal good living. That's what I'm running for Ogun governorship to effect. I'm resolved but not desperate. I'm from a disadvantaged clan in the state but I'm not running on the embittered pity of our disadvantage. Rather I display the courage needed to ensure that we can and surely we'll effect the needed change for our people to enjoy the deserved socio-economic breakthrough. Those that are still dwelling in the politics of the past are in for a shocker in the way I shall conduct myself running to be elected governor to serve my people. It has begun now!!! For those that in myopic desperation and unjustified tribal sentiments, stupidly orchestrated hoodlums attacks on me at Ota during my declaration, I shall make scapegoats of. I will partner the law enforcement agents to make them face the full wrath of our laws as a deterrent. Their lie shall be shown to the people that they're opposite of what they pretend to be outwardly. That we shall conduct government business and processes within the laws and due process starts from now. We shall not cut corners to be able to serve and neither shall glorify thuggery of any form. We shall give a renewed hope of peaceful life more abundantly to our people without fear of oppression or impunity of the powerful & the privileged mighty that characterised past and current governments. We need as a people to take our destiny into our hands in pragmatic terms now. I enjoin our people to rightly make me their choice next governor for the job at hand. The time to effect the needed change has come. We need to embrace logics and not sentiments. We don't have the luxury of another government by trial with an Oshun-born politician who though might have legally exploited the leniency of our federal statutes into political prominence in Lagos state; unaware of our local challenges but prompted by the personal lust for power to claims of false Yewa heritage. Neither can we gamble the future of our people on claims that one's father's wealth is enough to cover for an inexperienced life of not much of personal achievements except rebranding family piggery without economic returns. The stakes are too high for rhetorical sentiments and innuendo. God bless Ogun and her peoples. PSS

WHY YEMI OKE CAN'T BE SAN, BY GROUP Chief Registrar of Supreme Court/Secretary Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee, Supreme Court of Nigeria, Three Arms Zone, Supreme Court Complex, Abuja. Sir, COMPLAINT ON THE SUITABILITY OF DR. GANIYU ADEYEMI OKE FOR THE CONFERMENT OF THE RANK OF SENIOR ADVOCATE OF NIGERIA: Organizing For Nigeria Initiative (ONI) is a civil society organization with objectives to promote good governance and integrity in the conduct of private and public life in Nigeria. In the Public Notice/Advertorial published in The Nation newspaper of Friday, May 19, 2017 by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee,Dr. Ganiyu Adeyemi Oke (also known fondly and generally as Dr. Yemi Oke) was listed as one of the candidates who qualified to be awarded the prestigious rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) under the Academic Category. His name was listed as No. 1 under the category. We write your Committee to show that by the antecedents, character, reputation and the general disposition of Dr. Yemi Oke in the way and manner he has conducted his legal practice and his dealings with the public in general, he is lacking in the requisite integrity, reputation and competence for this prestigious award. Our position finds support in section 18 (2) and 19 (1) of the Guidelines For the Conferment of the Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria 2013 to the effect that a candidate for the award of SAN “must be of good character and must have no pending disciplinary case or complaint relating to professional misconduct against him.” These sections also provide that a candidate who is adjudged by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee to be of bad behavior, whether in or out of court, poor temperament or propensity to insult or assault people or cause them harm or put them in state of fear of bodily harm; or who has evidence of moral depravity or other socially unacceptable behavior; or given to abuse of legal trust such as embezzlement or mismanagement of client’s funds is not eligible for the rank of SAN. Premised on the above, we complain against the candidacy of Dr. Yemi Oke for the rank of SAN on the following grounds: . 1. Character, Reputation and Disposition of Dr. Yemi Oke: Dr. Yemi Oke is not a stranger to the politics of Ogun State being a card- carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He served as the Legal Adviser and Executive Member of the Ogun State chapter of the PDP sometime in 2011. In the discharge of his duties as the Legal Adviser to the Chapter, he was found wanting in character, candor and professional disposition. For this reason, a panel constituted by the national leadership of the party disqualified him as an aspirant for the primaries for the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency to the House of Representatives in the following terms: “The three contestants who were last Friday disqualified by the screening panel headed by Gen. A.B. Mamman from contesting the PDP primaries for National Assembly asprants for their alleged roles in the political crisis in Ohun State ….. Oke was also disqualified on the basis that he failed to use his superior knowledge of the law to advise the party properly, thereby orchestrating the crisis in the party, using his position as a lawyer to destabilize the party and cause disunity contrary to desirable qualities and code of conduct for party members.” Attached and marked asAnnexure I is the certified true copy of The Punchnewspapers which reported the disqualification of Dr. Yemi Oke. Against the back ground of his conduct as legal practitioner which had been deprecated in a court’s ruling as would be shown shortly, we hold the view that Dr. Yemi Oke will be a burden and an embarrassment to the Inner Bar. 2. Abuse of Client’s Trust, Judicial Process and Duplicity: In the discharge of his professional duties as a Legal Practitioner, Dr. Yemi Oke has not only abused the legal trust reposed in him by his clients, he has also encouraged parties to take steps that would ultimately result in the abuse of judicial process. He has once advised adverse parties in a case on steps and strategies, which if adopted, will frustrate his client’s case and position. In Suit No: FHC/L/CS/605/16 Chief Pegba v Otemolu vs. Independent National Electoral Commission & 3 Ors, as Counsel for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the 2nd party in the said suit, Dr. Yemi Oke, instead of pushing the case of his client, was caught advising Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, the major driver and financier of the Caretaker Committee of the PDP challenging the legality of Ali Modu Sheriff, the Acting Chairman of 2nd defendant. The 2nd defendant became aware of the antics and unethical conduct of Dr. Yemi Oke, in a text message sent from his (Dr. Yemi Oke’s) telephone number:08023148096 meant for Governor Ayo Fayose but which was sent in error to Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, the Acting National Chairman of PDP. This abuse of trust, betrayal and duplicity culminated in Dr. Yemi Oke being changed as counsel for PDP. Enclosed herewith is the Further Affidavit of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff in support of the Notice of Change of Counsel, marked as Annexure II, which speaks eloquently about the duplicity of Dr. Yemi Oke in the handling of his client’s case. (See paragraphs 2 – 5 thereof). 3. Unethical Conduct and/or Professional Misconduct: Dr. Yemi Oke is on record as, a part of the gang of Legal Practitioners, who have no qualms in filing frivolous appeals which serve no purpose other than to delay proceedings and give an advantage to his clients which the judicial process does not envisage. In doing so, it does not matter to him, if the judicial process and the trial Judge are brought into disrepute. a. In order to stall the proceedings of the 15th day of August, 2016 in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/464/2016: Dr. Ali Modu Sheriff &Ors vs. Independent National Electoral Commission &Ors, Dr. Yemi Oke, for and on behalf of one Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, a total stranger to the proceedings, filed an application praying the trial Judge for leave to appeal against a purported ruling of the court. One Dolapo Kehinde Esq., who held his brief applied for the case to be adjourned or otherwise stood down to enable Dr. Yemi Oke, who pretended to be held up somewhere at the airport from appearing in court personally to take charge of the day’s proceedings. b. Based on what he, Dr. Yemi Oke in his wild imagination termed a ruling of the trial Judge, in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/464/2016, an appeal was filed to the Court of Appeal. In the said appeal, which he lacked the courage to pursue to conclusion, he joined the trial Jude, Hon. Justice O. E. Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja personally as the 1stRespondent. The said Notice of Appeal is hereto attached and marked as Annexure II. c. Just to satisfy his client and put the exalted judicial office of a Judge into disrepute, Dr. Yemi Oke did not have any qualms in accusing the trial Judge of bias and making him a party personally in his said appeal, a practice which has been roundly condemned by all, including the apex court of the land, the Supreme Court as not only unpardonable but also tantamount to gross misconduct. d. In his Ruling in No. FHC/ABJ/CS/464/2016,the trial Judge spared no words in condemning this unethical conduct of Dr. Yemi Oke, for filing the appeal when no appealable decision had been taken, and particularly, for the more ignominious practice of joining a trial Judge, personally, as respondent in his purported appeal. The Committee is invited to read through the record of proceedings of the 15th of August hereto marked asAnnexure III, pages 7 – 9, 13 – 14, and particularly, pages 27 – 31 thereof for what the trial Judge said of the antics of Dr. Yemi Oke: “Again another counsel, Dolapo Kehinde announced appearance for Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, a total stranger to the proceedings not being a party to the suit and filed a motion from nowhere dated 3rdday of August, 2016 praying the Court for leave to appeal against the ruling of the Court dated 28th July, 2016 on a purported findings made by the Court in that ruling that was not an appealable decision. The finding was not properly quoted from the ruling of the Court. The findings he made reference to was not related to the ruling of the Court. He relied on a purported findings allegedly made by the Court in the Court’s ruling on 28th July 2016 based on his own imagination. ….. The stranger to the proceedings even filed a notice of appeal without leave of Court and made my humble self a party to the incompetent appeal not binding (minding) the judicial immunity conferred on the Court having regard to the provisions of section 188 of the Evidence Act and also contrary to the decision of the Court of Appeal in the case NKOP VS ETUK supra to the effect that no judicial officer can be sued on the issue relating to the discharge of judicial duties.” e. The above portion of the trial Judge’s Ruling, appropriately captures Dr. Yemi Oke, the lawyer, his practice, conduct and respect for the judicial process, and exalted positions of Judicial Officers, if any. The conclusion of the trial Judge at pages 30 – 31 of the said Ruling is quite instructive in profiling Dr. Yemi Oke and his unsuitability for the rank of SAN. According to the trial Judge: “The said application is hereby dismissed. Heavy cost would have been awarded against Hon. Ogundele for his unholy conduct unbecoming of a person who claims to be civilized. The lawyer that assisted him in filing these frivolous processes, Dr. Yemi Oke was conscious of his unethical conduct (sic) and failed to appear in Courtand rather sent a junior to Court to receive the consequences of his unethical conduct save for the intervention of Chief A. Akintola (SAN).” f. The unethical conduct of Dr. Yemi Oke as captured by this Ruling holds him out as a person unfit to be honoured with the prestigious rank of SAN, an award designed to celebrate excellence in the legal profession. We have no doubts whatsoever that the kind of unholy and unethical conduct displayed by Dr. Yemi Oke, who knowing the enormity of his actions rather preferred to set up his junior to receive the bullets while he stays away under the pretense that he was held up on the way, is unbecoming of any lawyer who aspires to put on the silk. g. The Honourable Justice Walter Onnoghen (now CJN) of the Supreme Court in the celebrated appeals by one faction of the PDP against decision of the Court of Appeal Abuja Division to the Supreme Court to determine the party’s candidate for the governorship of Ondo State in 2016, described a SAN who joined Justices of the Court of Appeal, personally as respondents in an appeal like Dr. YemiOke in the instant case as “a disgrace to the legal profession”. h. This unethical conduct and/or professional misconduct associated with Dr. Yemi Oke; his lack of respect and regard for the due administration of justice and judicial officers; and his willingness to abuse his position as a minister in the temple of justice if that will help him stall the course of justice and give his clients pyrrhic victory, are not qualities that commend a lawyer to be honored with the rank of SAN. 4. Dr. Yemi Oke’s Penchant for Abuses and Insulting Judges: We need to add also that a lawyer like Dr. Yemi Oke who in his public statements have no qualms in describing judicial officers as “corrupt judges” and “paid judges”, not minding that the National Judicial Council (NJC), the only official organ with power to investigate and sanction such judges, has not condemned them is not a fit and proper person to be conferred with the rank of SAN. We attach and mark as Annexure IV, a publication of Dr. Yemi Oke on the social media entitled “UN-SENATORIAL MIS-STATEMENTS OF A MISFIT SENATOR IN THE RULING OF HC OF OGUN DATED 24/9/16” where he has deployed terrible and very demeaning appellatives in describing innocent judicial officers, including the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court. This type of conduct which we also consider unethical does not commend Dr. Yemi Oke as one worthy of any type of honour by the legal profession. 5. Pending Complaint Against Dr. YemiOke: From the public utterances and writings of Dr. Yemi Oke who has a penchant for telling anyone who cares to know that all the pending complaints of unethical conduct and/or professional misconduct associated with his person and legal practice before the NBA Disciplinary Committee would amount to nothing, we came to know that there are unresolved complaints calling for disciplinary action against him. Our inquiry at the NBA Secretariat confirmed the pendency of several complaints against Dr. Yemi Oke, brought by lawyers and other highly-placed citizens since 2016. Most, if not all of the complaints are yet to be determined by the NBA. We are unable to attach some of the petitions and Dr. Yemi Oke’s response, as annexures herein, due to our inability to obtain copies from the NBA. But the NBA National Secretariat, as headed by the General-Secretary of the NBA, is well aware of the pending and unresolved petitions. The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee may wish to call for such complaints and responses for and against Dr. Yemi Oke. 6. Involvement in the Panama Papers Scandal: It is also public knowledge that Dr. Yemi Oke was named as one of the lawyers involved in the infamous Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca scandal, who was alleged to have helped incorporate shell entities to evade tax and sell secrecy in perpetration of financial fraudulent dealings. We also attach a publication of Premium Times to the effect as Annexure V. Our Conclusion A proper appraisal of each of the matters raised against the candidacy of Dr. Yemi Oke for the award of the rank of SAN shows that he is serially caught by the provisions of section 18 (2) and 19 (1) of the 2013 Guidelines for the said award. We therefore urge the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee to investigate these matters, all of which are in the public domain and in consequence thereof disqualify Dr. Yemi Oke from being honoured with the rank of SAN. We are hopeful that your Committee will duly consider the matters herein raised and come to a decision that will save the inner Bar from the likes of Dr. YemiOke who, by his professional misconduct and/or unethical conduct, disposition, and dealings with the public, and unguarded utterances, does not possess the requisite character, reputation and good disposition to represent the best in the Nigerian Bar. Accept the assurances of our best regards. Yours faithfully, Mr. Uche Nnadozie Executive Director (ONI) |
I'm not surprised about the ranting of some wailers here. SPBK happened to be an ignored stone that later came to become a Cornerstone. Continue wailing, while SPBK continue progressing .A word is enough for a wise. |
A GOOD TREE IS KNOWN BY ITS FRUITS SPBK’s leadership skills are manifest in the dynamic and sustainable manner in which he conceived, structured and progressively guides the activities of the Omoilu Foundation. Through the Foundation, SPBK has created and motivated teams of leaders and service providers that are positively affecting the lives of people across the country, especially in the South West. A good tree is known by its fruits; Omoilu Foundation is one of the many good fruits of the giant tree – SPBK! |
Nothing comes easy in life; it takes only the grace of the Almighty for one to succeed in life. When the distinguished Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu (SPBK) ventured into politics some years ago, many never gave him a chance because of how competitive and challenging the terrain would be for him. He had to start growing from his ward, before becoming relevant at the local government and then upwards to his Senatorial district. Moving on to spread his influence in the Southwest was unimaginable from the start. But with God, all things are possible. The journey has not been a smooth and easy one for SPBK, but through steadfastness and his passionate commitment to empower the less privileged; his dreams speedily came true. In spite of the shenanigans of those who have pitched themselves as his adversaries, SPBK remains doggedly on the rise to the pinnacle of his political aspirations. His altruism and political dexterity has seen through all his challenges. Even before the execution of a plan, he already knows what the outcome will be. No wonder he could confidently say that, "He had been to kano and back while they were still snoring, sleeping aimlessly". SPBK’s matchless sense of human intelligence confounds some leaders. Moreover, with his so hard earn resources, SPBK is progressively liberating the masses from the shackles of poverty. Single-handed he delivered his Senatorial district to the PDP even though some self acclaimed leaders from the same senatorial district worked against the success of the party at the 2015 election. Long, victorious, peaceful, wealthy, happy and healthy May You Live the People's Senator! #IstandwithSPBK!

Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu has distinguished himself out from the traditional way politics are being played. His outstanding performance among his contemporaries singled him out to be the best among other players of politicking and politics. He has proved to the entire nation the esteemed level he held his people. Many might be mistaken to say,the Distinguished Senator,is not politician. But that will just be a mere saying, but with a careful look of things,we can see Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu is a grass-root mobilizer, zonal political agitator, and a central field motivator.A seasoned politician who knows the tactics, intrigues, virtues, and of course vices of politics. And the importance of the key players at all level in politics. That is why the distinguished Senator will never for once toy with the existence of the Ward excos,to the National level. All these potentials in him is really given him an edge-way as far as Nigeria politics is concerned. He has extended his tentacles that he is much more on ground than any other politician as far as Ogun State is concerned. And his major plight and concern is the welfare of the common masses, ranging from clearing hospital bills of patients, paying school fees of indigent students, supporting the welfares of the people, without being bias in ethnic differences. Being a Senator from Ogun East Senatorial District,he stood on his ground to cater for the well-being of the good people of Ogun State as a whole. His well doings are numerous, that made his an outstanding Senator among others. A leader who led by example,a role model for others and an outstanding rare gem that believe in the comfort living of his people. With God,all things are possible. You remain a factor importance as far as Nigeria politics is concerned, that they know. Our prayer is for almighty God continue to strengthen you,as your political empire is developing more than expected by the enemies of progress. Long shall you live the People's Senator. #istandwithSPBK# By: Abolaji Adeniyi Sobowale
