The group, in a stakeholders' meeting held on Sunday at its headquarters in Ijebu Igbo, said the duo of Messrs Ola Kukoyi (a.k.a Kosigiri) and Seni Egbeyemi, have never been members of the group.

Hence, it is absolute stupidity for those who are not even members of this group to lay claim to its leadership.

"Unknown to the impostors, Omoilu is a registered entity with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Therefore, it is an absolute stupidity for those who were at no point part of what we have been doing in Omoilu for over a decade to start laying claim to its leadership. He maintained that Omo Ilu is one and that anyone who is willing to be a member should go through the normal procedure.

"I appointed Hon. Jigan Taiwo as the Ogun East senatorial chairman of this group but now that he has connived with some non-members to start parading himself as the State Coordinator, he is definitely an impostor. Politics / Re: Ogun Pdp Faction Rejects Adebutu, Endorses Atiku Spokesman For Governor by impact231(m): 11:45am On Jan 06, 2022
RE: OGUN PDP FACTION REJECTS ADEBUTU, ENDORSES ATIKU SPOKESMAN FOR GOVERNOR

My attention has been drawn to a news, being circulated on all social media platforms that a faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State has endorsed Hon. Segun Sowunmi as its Governorship candidate ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election.

Ordinarily, News like this would have been simply dumped in a thrash bin where it actually belongs to but for the purpose of setting the records straight and clearing my name from the mess, which was planned by some desperate political business merchants, I must emphatically distance myself from the so called KANGAROO endorsement of candidate which was planned and executed by the State Chairman, Alhaji Semiu Shobayo who was dancing to the tune of his sponsorer.

I wish to categorically state that the purpose of the said meeting was totally derailed from, only for Alhaji Shobayo to begin the acting of a written script by bringing up the endorsement agenda which they already had in plan.

The meeting was majorly organized to pass vote of confidence on the South West leadership of the only governor of the party in the region, Engr. Seyi Makinde who is also the Oyo State Governor and to equally give our full backing and support to the National leadership of the party which has Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja as the Deputy National Chairman (South). Same was planned for the Adagunodo-led South West leadership of the party. Upon this agreement were the reasons for the meeting which was held yesterday, 5th January,2022 in Abeokuta.

I found the endorsement laughable as the said endorsed governorship candidate has not held any meeting in his local government to declare his intention of such aspiration. What we have seen of him in recent time is a mere social media colouration and paparazzi which does not amount to an official declaration of intent.

It is not new to me how political games are being played. But I have to categorically clear my name from the purported endorsement because it was totally against the initial purpose the meeting was summoned.

At this time, the party officials are interested in mobilizing more members across all board to the party, work on aggrieved members to come back into the party as the party in the State is awaiting a total restructuring process which will bring her back to winning ways.

It caught me unaware when the endorsement of a candidate was mentioned. It is lack of experience on the part of the Chairman, Alhaji Shobayo to endorse a candidate at this early hour of political activity from the party. It is believed that the mobilization strategy should be intensified rather than organizing a purported endorsement which will do the party no good.

I call on our Party leaders, elders, stakeholders and members to be calm and never be deterred by the plans of Alhaji Shobayo who is serving as a stooge to the purported endorsed candidate.

E - SIGNED:

Mr. Ogunse Toyosi

Treasurer, South West PDP

AMORAN reacts to call for chairman's removal, clears air on purported increment in the price of Rider's permit

The leadership of the Articulate Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, AMORAN, has reacted to the protest which rocked Magboro in Obafemi Owode local government area of Ogun State on Thursday, 2nd of September 2021, wherein commercial motorcyclost, also known as Okada Riders demanded the removal of the branch chairman, Mrs Funmi Fadipe.

The protesters, who thronged the streets in large numbers to express their dissatisfaction, accused the branch chairman of increasing prices of rider's permit, meting inhumane treatment to Okada riders and the area and rude in her approach.

Reacting to the incident, the State Publicity Secretary of the Union, Otunba Taofeek Sokoya in a phone conversation with our correspondent, noted that the situation has been duly addressed and debunked the purported increment in the price of rider's permit.

"First and foremost, let me state in clear terms that the incident has nothing whatsoever to do with our State chairman. I have read some online reports, claiming that members were calling for the removal of our Chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Aina Alowonle. That's not true. The protest in Magboro is an internal matter that has been duly addressed since the State executive council heard about it.

What our members there demanded was the removal of the branch chairman, Mrs. Funmi Fadipe. After a thorough investigation, we found out that she was truly guilty of some kf fhe allegations levelled against her and in a bid to grant listening ears to our members, we have suspended her and immediately replaced her with a caretaker chairman who will oversee the affairs of the union in the branch until further notice", Sokoya explained.

When asked about the increment in the price of rider's permit, Otunba Sokoya vehemently debunked it, noting that no Union has the autonomous power to do so.

"I have addressed this matter in my recent interviews. My position is clear. No dime has been added to the price of rider's permit and no motorcycle union has the power to do so. It is trictly a government affair and the Dapo Abiodun-led administration has not at any point in time announced such. It is an attempt by the mischief makers to slander the government and score cheap political points.

The rider's permit costs one thousand, five hundred naira (#1, 500.00). Anyone selling beyond this price should be arrested", he added.

He added that many times the Unions have come to the aid of their members who are faced with one challenge or the other, as they had paid hospital bills of some riders who had accident, bought new motorcycles to those who theirs were stolen with evidences and reports.

Otunba Sokoya however reassured that the unions will not relent on their efforts in having peace and safety for every resident in the State.

He took the presenters to the memory lane of the days ticket sellers do chase Okada riders in order to sell the tickets to them. One of the efforts put in place is no ticketer or ticket seller should operate without putting on the uniform of the Union operating during that week.

He also said there's an instruction to them all not to run after any motorcycle. By this, there is limitation to the reports of the ticket sellers which has reduced complains from the people.

In his conclusion, he reaffirmed the Union's support for the policies of the Ogun State government led by the Omoluabi Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR.

He observed that the success of this government cannot be traded for any reason, as every nook and cranny of Ogun State is enjoying the dividends of democracy since inception of this administration.

A topnotch traditional ruler in Ijebu Igbo, Ijebu North local government area of Ogun State, Oba Mufutau Yusuf (Sopen Lukale of Oke Sopen) has debunked the news being peddled around, particularly on social media platforms wherein he was alleged to have made 'outrageous' demands while discussing terms of agreement with Dangote group.

It has been earlier reported that Dangote group of companies had approached a community in the King's domain for mining and agreements were reached between the parties involved. However, as the host traditional ruler of the community where the resources was discovered, the King explained that he is entitled to some demands which he has done with modesty.

He revealed that contrary to what is being circulated by some people, what he has demanded from the company is not outrageous.

"My role is in line as stipulated in the Mining Act. What I did was to help attract developmental projects to the community through the negotiation with Dangote group of companies. The demand are as follows :

It is my belief that if these demands are met, it will be of massive advantage to my people", Oba Mufutau said.

On his personal demand, the royal father reiterated that his demands are not outrageous as claimed.

He said, "My demands are as normal as what every other king would have requested. They include; a sum of ten million naira, a medical trip oncw in two years. Politics / Ogun PDP Blows Hot,says Seriki's Intention About Reconciliation Not Genuine by impact231(m): 8:27am On Feb 10, 2021
DEAR ‘ACTORS’, YOU GRAVELY MISSED THE POINT!

By Oyejide Sunkanmi
Ogun PDP Publicity Secretary

Moments after I finished reading Mr. Segun Seriki’s response (yes, Seriki’s response, even though it has Raphael Olaosebikan’s name) to my rejoinder on the piece “Why We Acted”, I felt it was necessary to respond and situate the issues.

While I do not understand what he meant by not being “media war protagonist” among other gaffes (perhaps he meant to write “media war propagandist”), I make haste to say that no matter how hard he tries, Prince Ajibola Oluyede will not condescend to their low level. Prince Oluyede knows too well like George Bernard Shaw counselled that we should “Never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it”. My advice to you, “the actors”, if you feel very strongly and are sure that Prince Oluyede has been involved in any professional misconduct, you should report him to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) as the authentic Ogun State PDP Working Committee is set to do in respect of Mrs. Bimbo Lanre-Balogun’s multiple and contradicting affidavits.

Now, to the issues. It is obvious to discerning minds that you, so-called actors, are the ones chasing shadows and leaving the real issues which are:
1) Assuming without conceding that Prince Oluyede gave a wrong advice to the former State Chairman, Samson Bamgbose and others, in respect of the Police invitation on a Friday, didn’t the then State Working Committee (SWC) hire another lawyer to represent it at the State Police Headquarters on the said date? If the Police had not been compromised from Abuja, why didn’t they wait till the following Monday? Besides, what has your “messiah” done to recover the party secretariat? How come he is no longer pre-occupied with that? Rather, he is busy scouting for people to sign fraudulent affidavits after ripping off the Adebutus!

2) Was that also why one of you, “the actors”, Mrs Bimbo Lanre-Balogun went to court to depose to an affidavit that the then Adebayo Dayo-led State Executive Committee never held congresses in Ogun State before the expiration of its tenure? So, which congress produced you, Raphael Olaosebikan, now that you are addressing yourself as “Acting State Secretary”?

3) If you are not working in cahoots with the Ladi Adebutu-Sikirulai Ogundele gang, how come you have not taken steps to rein in or reprimand Bimbo Lanre-Balogun? Why haven’t you deposed to an affidavit to counter Lanre-Balogun’s averments that congresses never held in Ogun State? Is it not a less-than-clever way to clear the way for the illegal contraption from which Ognudele emerged in July, 2020?

4) How can Mr. Seriki, who is not a member of the PDP, seek to “liberate” the party? Is it not an incontrovertible fact that he has been expelled from the PDP since July 2018? Shall we take your dogging this issue as an admission of the fact? Clearly, it is!

5) On the issue of the suspension of traitors and black legs, I make bold to say we did exactly what our late boss and icon, Senator Buruji Kashamu would have done. He never condoned indiscipline, deceit and lies, which are the stock-in-trade of these fictional “actors”. Asking if that was a sustenance of our late boss’ legacy beggars the issue because in your first article, you had questioned the rationale behind the decision to preserve Senator Kashamu’s legacies. And having “acted” in accordance with your ill-conceived conviction, you cannot rightly question the decision of those who reacted to your ignoble acts.

6) It is interesting that you have now changed from your assertion that Prince Oluyede demanded money from Pa Adebutu’s emissary (Aare Oyefeso) to say it was “allegation”. As at the last time I checked, our jurisprudence has not changed: it places the onus of proof of an allegation on he who alleges. So, Messrs Seriki and Raphael, the burden of proof of your “allegation” rests on you.

7) Without mincing words, it is clear even to the blind that we do not belong to the same State Working Committee or State Executive Committee. You, Raphael and other “actors” are now hobnobbing with the Ogundele-led gang after selling your conscience. You flock together. You strategise together, fly to Abuja together, stay in the same hotels together and attend court sessions together on the Adebutus’ bill – all in a bid to collapse the structure of your benefactor whom you claim to love so much and derisively said would love to be a life member of any social club named after him.

cool On the so-called fortunes that you lost during the last election, the question is: who was responsible? The man who fought gallantly and got you on the ballot and even funded you or the one who defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and worked against you and other candidates of the PDP? Is it not the same person that openly worked against you and other PDP candidates that all of you, the self-styled “progressives” are now running to cap-in-hand? By the way, a little bird told me that a major factor that worked against you, Raphael, is your state of origin. Is it true you are from Kwara State?

9) Without much ado, it is obvious to reasonable members of the party and the general public that you are the dissidents. You have sold out. And that is why you claimed that you and the other “actors” are purportedly being led to an imaginary “negotiation table” by someone who has ceased to be a member of the PDP and Senator Kashamu’s political family. Pray, how can a non-PDP member lead supposed members of the PDP to “negotiate” (or more appropriately sell) the structure to another non-member whose three-year contract with APM is still valid, subsisting and running?

10) Your claim that some “media war protagonist” are benefitting from a crisis is of no moment. Ordinarily, there should not be any crisis, if there is any modicum of dignity, honour and responsibility in you, “the actors”. The one you, “the actors” are groveling at his table has not repudiated his contract with APM. So, in effect, he is still in APM. One can only pity you and your ilk now that you have decided to trade away your political future because of a meal ticket. For your information, it is on record that your new principal has done everything to cajole me and other dogged and principled members of the Kashamu political family to join you, “the actors” in your inglorious act of selling out and we have REFUSED! NO MATTER THE AMOUNT OF DOLLARS, WE CANNOT BE BOUGHT OVER BY ANYONE! ON KASHAMU’S MANDATE, WE SHALL STAND. NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER! WE SHALL OVERCOME! God bless the soul of Senator Buruji Kashamu! God bless Ogun State PDP!! God bless our dear Ogun State!!!
