RuudVanNisteroy: They don't have a PR program like Canada. You have to live in Netherlands for 5 years before you can apply for permanent residence.
You can come through a work permit or student visa to fulfill 5 year requirement before your file for permanent residenc . You also have the option of filing for asylum.
I advise strongly against using a tourist visa to try and move there permanently. It will work against you when trying to get your legal papers to stay in the country permanently.
They have been generous with asylum requests in the past. At the time I lived there I met Nigerians who got their stay through the asylum process. I am not sure if they are generous as they used to be. please can I have your contact? your response as always been helpful to a local boy like me. imrannurein90@gmail.com or whatsapp 08063661524 cheers. |

Kristofferson: What are the issues on ground? Mention them and don't be insulting when tendering your opinion cos where your opinion stops is where another person start. I count insulting people when tendering opinion as a low life with inferiority complex devoid of intelligence. You don't have to take it as an insult. We all press phone everyday and nairaland is your friend sir. I know you must have read 100s of stories here on nairaland and other social media about how government abroad support their citizens and the immigration both legal and illegal immgrants during this China virus. If that's not enough I get hundred of reason for you let you know that you're living in a zoo country. |

RuudVanNisteroy: I forgot to add that in. For example you can buy a Botswana citizenship for $93,000 dollars. Their passport is visa free to UK,Ireland,Hong Kong,Singapore. You mean $93000x#385? That's a very huge amount. |

RuudVanNisteroy: You get approved for permanent residence from Nigeria and when you get to the airport you be get your permanent residence papers and a few years later become a citizen. They are certain requirements to become a landed immigrant in Canada,USA,Austrailia etc: -English test requirement-IELTS,TOEFL -Educational qualification.e.g Bachelor,Masters -Fall under a certain Occupation e.g They are looking for people in certain occupations e.g Accounant,IT Analyst,Engineer etc -Financial requirement e.g have a minimum amount in your bank account or asset valued at minimum threshold. Thanks for the response sir. I have a budget plan of around 1m to 1.5m. Which make it very difficult for me to choose among coutries you listed above. |

ednut1: for most countries it is hard and you need a job offer. People like doctors nurses auditors and IT People are the ones that most times get job offer or residency stuff. For canada and Australia you dont need job offer to get residency but high points based on immigration rankings. Also you can go as student and get job later which will qualify you for residency May Almighty Allah bless you and increase you more in knowledge sir. The cost of Australia or Canada is what I can't avoid, That's the reason why I want to try Europe first. |

RuudVanNisteroy: Landed immigrant is your best option. If you go on a tourist visa, you will not be able to work. And will have to work on a cash basis or find an employer that will pay you under the table. It is not worth it, you will live like a slave-go through the legal route. Please I have never heard about "landed immigrant" before. Can you shed more light on it sir |
