1 bad review and 10 positive reviews won't chase a prospective buyer cos there's bound to be negative reviews in every business. it'll surprise you that some people will still rate google 2 stars. but would that stop u from using it? the answer is NO.

the good thing is fiverr would give u a chance to also review the buyer. So give him his 1 star back and explain wat happened in the feedback. This would encourage buyers to still order his gig. (if well explained)

Auntie, even 98% dey complain with level two badge, then you are talking of level 1 with 90%, nobody, I repeat go patronize am at all, I can bet you.

Don't even say that thin twice, and To increase that rating from 90% to may be 95% can take another 20 five star review...I don't know exactly how many but I know it will be that much.

So If there is anything you should run away from its a 1 star rating...It can even kill 40 five star... sooooo

Stop making blind argument. Go and read fiverr T&C. CS cannot settle in buyer's favour if his reason for rejecting the work is on PERSONAL TASTE. But if it's POOR QUALITY then buyer will be favoured.

I know some one (Nigeria - my guy) who's profile image was dented by another seller ( american - username is jonbaas) because he felt the guy had positive ratings only (five star)... The american guy offers same business name as the my guy.

He ordered from him and when he delivered, he left a one star rating and the most cruel review I have ever seen...

When my guy contacted him, he told him that he did it on purpose...so that his profile will not be 100%.

My guy contact CS tire with screenshots and everything...but the guy told him that CS cannot remove that review except its him the buyer that does contact CS for the removal. And that was how it stood...

CS said they can't remove it even with the evidence supplied.

Now fiverr T&C states that "A seller must not try to tarnish the image of another seller in any form"


There is another guy who had $600 rescinded from Hus account without Hus knowledge because a buyer he already worked for about 2 or 3;week ago went to contact CS that he needed the money back that he didn't like the job...

The buyer did a PayPal request and fiverr had to accept , for money the guy had already played out o.

So guy before you open your mouth and insult me next time, get facts, not T&C.


Besides go online and see many other numerous cases of such scandalous acts done by fiverr.

People are complaining daily cos fiverr cs doesn't give a fucl about sellers..you just dey here dey read T&C like say na u read pass...

Because u have made one or two sales now, u just dey yarn akpata...

Guy are you a learner? What kind of advice is that? He should keep delivering the same thing...u want him to chop 1 star abi.?.. If you must do such, then don't deliver the gig through the normal delivery process...after the first revision it doesn't matter how long the order takes... So just send him the work as a message...until he accepts ..then u can tell him to accept delivery and rate u or better just deliver the gig and forget the rating cos he can decide to give u low rating for time wasted....just be careful of the advice u take from this threads...

You can still change it..but u have to create a rating upgrade at the resolution center...the con is that Fiverr has said, too much of doing that might result in ur account being blocked. I think they are trying to reduce the number of sellers asking buyers to upgrade ratings...

but just before the turn of the recession, hunger almost made me change carrier and as a new graduate who isn't gonna go home...my course mate introduced me to fiverr and writing niche...Gods grace i made $100+ in the first week..no gig ranking and all these many talks...

but he gave me business name video tutorial one day...I decided to add it...and to God be the glory...I somehow turned a boss in the niche...I abandoned writing....and that's how it has been... I have made a "vision" cash wise, that I will not have imagined possible if am awake with my eyes open...we know business names are usually $5 , $10 but right now I charge as much as $40, $50, $30... did I hear someone say its small?...did I also hear someone say why are u not doing the web thing?...well I have made $600+ this month and its just naming...

web design jobs don't come too often and most persons offering it only manage two orders in a whole month...that might amount to maybe $200 or more...but then the uncertainty is almost sure....

This was God trying to save me, so who am I to say Na web under must...although I hope to start the web soon...since I can now stand with my two legs and not fear for what to eat or drink...I can follow passion now...

And am not leaving naming services anytime soon...the thing is sweet.

And I am only getting to know my way around so many things,...so I believe I can soon start to charge $100 for a name sef...

moral lesson: ur handwork might fail u..ur certificate too....I never planned naming services before...

Look guy, put yourself in line and stop all this irrationality, people have gotten so much valuable knowledge from this thread that has built them wealth for free, so you should expect lots of counter-reactions when you want to deviate from the norm of free quality value. You yourself lashed someone for trying to market his website or whatever but the guy never went on rampage calling you names.

That wasn't lashing, I clearly remember that post..that was more of a joke, I didn't attack him or his business.

What u guys don't know is I am selling support...and it takes time and energy...many persons can't go through this things by just reading it...sometimes most needs one on one follow up and I am like that too.

After reading all the "how to" some just get lost like some one who just finish reading engineering mathematics like a novel...

So support is a huge part of freelancing, if you have someone leading u things gets simpler.

I attend seminars , pay their fee and then leave, why? Because I want their support... Personally I don't gain from learning with the crowd...I learn better when its one on one or I am learning fr scratch personally.
