Good afternoon VO. my interview is coming up. I am applying with my two boys 6yrs and 4yrs without their dad.

1. Is it okay for them to wear their school uniform?

2. Can i also wear my own Branded uniform we wear at work since i will be going to work after the interview?

3. I was denied last year march because i did not apply with the boys.. we travelled to dubai last yr December now we want to travel to the States.. what are my chances?

4. We are not applying with my husband. What are the chances?

Thank you for your usual response to my request. Please i applied for my self and my two kids. On our confirmation letter, my purpose of travel is B1/B2 (business and Tourism) while that of my kids is just B2 (Tourism/Medical treatment) ... i felt since they are kids.... they cant do "Business" that was y i picked only B2 for them. I hope it is okay?

I would like to take my kids on a vacation this December for my sons birthday. I need to apply for a visa for my two boys alone. There daddy is always occupied with work and does not have time to travel. Although,i travelled with the boys last year december to dubai for my sons birthday. the issue i have now is that i am not sure if they will grant us the visa without their dads presence. Kindly advise please

It doesn't sound like you need to do anything. We do not require people to change their names when they get married.

Most times the answer we seek is one the website of the embassy. Most times the answer we seek have been dealt with here but we refuse to read. Other times, our answers dwell in common sense.
I have a visa. Expired. Renewed. And renewed . I'm married. My passport is still in my maiden name.
My friend applied with her son and not with her husband. Maiden name. She got.
Chloe here applied with maiden name. Got.

Please inveest time to preapre and research. Goes a long way to prevent u from making avoidable' mistakes or taking wrong counsel.

Trust me, not a good advice. The visa officer is not interested in her marriage certificate, it is advisable she goes with her husband even if he's not travelling with her, except he already has a US visa, only then will the officer check through the system.

my husband is a contractor he does nt have that time. He is always out of lagos. I went to dubai last year alone with the kids. Really dont know what to do

If you are still using your maiden name with two children it could look like you have no ties to your husband.
You have to give very strong proof that you are not trying to immigrate with your boys or you will get 212b rejection.

What do you advise i do... i have our marriage certificate to proof it
