The pdp don't have the southern material to mount any serious challenge against the Apc. Their best chance is with Atiku. This is the bitter truth. I was laughing when wike was ranting about how he'll take power from the Apc if given the pdp ticket. I pray he gets it. Lol........

Vice-President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo will on Thursday formally declare to contest the 2023 presidential election under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

An associate of the vice-president who is an arrowhead of The Progressive Lawyers for Osinbajo disclosed this to our correspondent on Tuesday.

A senior official in the Vice President’s office also confirmed the development.

There has been suspense on whether Osinbajo will run for the presidency in 2023 following the declaration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos State governor and APC National Leader for the same position.

There are too many clowns on nairaland. I don't know where they think from. Maybe their anus. Peter obi is a loner in pdp with no political associate of great repute standing by him. Where's he going to get the delegates votes from? Majority of the major players are split between Wike and Atiku.

Meanwhile, you do have a point about the strength of Atiku and Wike in PDP which cannot clearly be compared to that of Peter Obi in PDP; but if you read this post well, you would have noticed it has a caveat.

The caveat is ‘supposing PDP zones its ticket to south’ and there’s no Atiku to contest the PDP ticket.

Now, we could concede that Wike is popular within PDP but that’s not the subject matter here.

The subject matter is with whom is PDP’s chances brighter when it comes to the generality of the electorates?

Firstly my comment was not on the post but a direct response to the politically ignorant fellow that mentioned me in a manner I didn't like.

Now to your comment,I can tell you for free that even if the pdp decided to zone the ticket,they won't bar anyone from contesting. Well they don't have that constitutional powers anyway. Most likely they're going to leave the contest open in other to play safe and not hurt any of the aspirants.

Even if it's zoned to the south, there's no way on earth a Peter obi can defeat Wike in the primary of the pdp. Even in the southeast, Wike will have more delegates on his side. He's far more influential than obi in the pdp.

On general appeal, I don't see much difference between peter obi and wike. The both of them are hugely popular in the south but will be thrashed mercilessly in the north. The party erroneously allowed kwankwaso to leave. I don't know who they're relying on in the north to help them galvanize votes in the region.

Peter obi no doubt is one of the best brains in this contest but the political reality is that he just doesn't have what it takes to get his party ticket and win the presidential election.

The pdp don't have any southerner that can match up to Tinubu. Their best chance in this race is Atiku. That's the bitter truth. He's the only one with the kind of political network Tinubu has in the country.
